Chapter 663: Chapter 662 No Commands Elsewhere
"Lin Qianqian, stay inside the cave and don’t make any rash moves without my order!" Liu Zheng instructed.
"Understood, young master," Lin Qianqian replied, and then she crawled into the cave.
"Huff~!" Liu Zheng exhaled and spread his soul power outwards.
This time, his soul power covered the entire mountain range, enveloping every inch of it, including the ground itself!
However, to Liu Zheng’s surprise, the wider the range his soul power covered, the greater the suppression it felt.
It was as if there was an inexplicable pressure within the mountain range that was constraining his soul power.
Liu Zheng’s brows furrowed slightly, but he did not pay too much attention to it because soul power was the hallmark of a Soul Master. After extending his soul power hundreds of feet, Liu Zheng discovered there were massive fluctuations in soul power within that range; these fluctuations were intense and highly aggressive, so much so that he could distinctly sense that three to five individuals with powerful soul energy were heading towards his location.
A cold light flickered in Liu Zheng’s eyes as he slightly curled his lips.
If you dare to come, then I’ll send you to paradise!
He thought silently to himself.
However, what he found strange was that the members of the Sky Wolf mercenary group were still sitting cross-legged in the same place, as if they were recovering their soul strength.
"Eh? Haven’t they left this place yet?"
Liu Zheng frowned and pondered. This scene was indeed odd; based on the modus operandi of the Sky Wolf mercenary group, they should have fled immediately and not stayed here.
"Could it be that my soul power is too strong, and these guys have sensed it?" Liu Zheng mused to himself.
Suddenly, an evil thought crossed Liu Zheng’s mind, and a sinister light emerged in his eyes.
"Haha... If that’s the case, then I won’t be polite anymore."
With a low chuckle, Liu Zheng’s body flickered, and he appeared in a secret chamber.
In the chamber, four people were sitting cross-legged.
"What? There are two more!" Liu Zheng’s gaze settled on two of the people; his pupils contracted, a trace of doubt flashed through his eyes, followed by a hint of joy.
"It seems I guessed right; these members of the Sky Wolf mercenary group have indeed been waiting for an opportunity, waiting for me to make a move!"
"Hehe, let’s see how you’ll deal with me!" Liu Zheng laughed coldly, and then he waved his hands, and two soul power beams shot out from his body toward the front.
"Bang bang..."
Two explosions sounded as Liu Zheng’s soul power collided with the two soul powers in front of him, causing an explosion that instantly shattered the opposing soul powers.
But Liu Zheng didn’t stop there; his soul power surged forward again, and a more violent force of soul power roared towards the two people.
"Boom boom!"
Two soul powers burst, dissolving into specks of starlight and vanishing.
Liu Zheng snorted coldly, his eyes carrying a mocking smile.
"You’re really foolish, knowing full well how strong my soul power is, yet you still dare to wait for me to act. Aren’t you afraid of dying?"
"Haha... We’ve been ready for this, even death doesn’t scare us."
"That’s right!"
...
Suddenly, two eerie laughs echoed through the chamber.
Immediately after, two figures rose from the ground, their faces covered in blood, their clothes in tatters, and their bodies riddled with countless wounds from a clearly brutal battle.
"You! How is it possible that you haven’t died yet!" Liu Zheng’s face changed drastically, full of astonishment.
In that moment, he finally understood what this group from the Sky Wolf mercenary group was waiting for.
They had no fear of the attacks from soul power; they were waiting here solely for the arrival of their enemy.
"Boy, this time you’re definitely going to die."
"That’s right, even if your soul power is fierce, what of it? You can’t kill us."
...
The two of them sneered and steadily closed in on Liu Zheng.
"Heh heh! Just the two of you dare to talk back to me? You’re really asking for death!" Liu Zheng scoffed coldly, his figure suddenly trembling. In an instant, the air around them seemed to freeze, as a boundless chill swept through the area, threatening to freeze their very souls into ice.
"Thud!"
"Thud!"
Their legs went weak, and they both knelt on the ground, beads of sweat the size of soybeans forming on their foreheads.
"This, this is the pressure of the Spirit King Realm!"
They were horrified, their eyes filled with panic.
"No... no, we were wrong, please spare us, we beg you, we will never dare again, never again!"
They knelt on the ground, desperately kowtowing for mercy, as fresh blood trickled down their foreheads, dripped down their cheeks.
"Now you know to beg for mercy? Too late!" Liu Zheng barked coldly. He placed one foot on their shoulders and the other on their chests, rendering them completely unable to resist.
"What, what are you going to do?" A female voice trembled, eyes filled with terror because she felt a dangerous aura drawing nearer to her.
"Heh heh..."
Liu Zheng let out a cold laugh. He extended his right hand and grabbed the woman by the neck, lifting her head, "Of course I’m going to kill you. Otherwise, wouldn’t I be at a loss?"
As he spoke, Liu Zheng suddenly exerted force with his right arm, and a crackling sound echoed.
"Aaah!!"
The woman let out a piercing scream, her face turning red, twisted in agony, obviously suffocating.
"Little sister, are you alright?" The man beside her hastily asked, clenching his fists tight, his eyes displaying a furious rage.
"Brother, save me, save me!" The woman yelled out loud.
"Hmph!" Liu Zheng snorted coldly, his right arm exerting force again, and with a ’crack,’ a head flew into the air, blood spurted wildly, staining the ground red.
The severed head still bore an expression of anticipation, eyes filled with unwillingness and regret.
"How could you kill my sister?" The man cried out in grief, his entire body lunging toward Liu Zheng, swinging his fists, frantically pounding at Liu Zheng’s back, trying to take him down.
However, he found that his attacks couldn’t shake Liu Zheng in the slightest, like a stone ox entering the sea, instantly dissipated by Liu Zheng.
"You’re no match for me, just surrender." Liu Zheng said with a cold sneer.
"Humph, don’t even think about it! I would rather die than surrender!" The man roared, his eyes blazing with stubborn defiance.
"Oh?" Liu Zheng’s face showed a hint of teasing, his right palm reaching out, easily catching the man’s fist.
"Bang!"
A dull thud sounded, and the man’s body was sent flying backward, foaming at the mouth, clearly severely wounded.
"Your bones are quite hard, too bad, you shouldn’t have provoked me." Liu Zheng shook his head and sighed, and then he stomped down with his foot.
"Bang!"
Along with a thunderous noise, the man’s chest caved in, his organs were ruptured, and blood constantly spilled from his ribcage.
The man’s eyes were wide open, filled with disbelief as he fell face down to the ground, dead with his eyes still open.
"Brother!"
"Brother!!"
"You killed my brother, I will fight you to the death!"
