Just at this moment, Director Xiao’s phone suddenly rang, and soon he answered the call and walked to a position on one side.
Barely two minutes had passed before Director Xiao walked back, but, astonishingly, there was a smile on his face.

Director Xiao nodded, and the two of them got up and left straight from there.
Following Liu Zheng’s instructions, they drove around to the other side, and sure enough, there was a small grove of trees where, usually, no one would come.
Besides, being right beside the crematorium, who would be bold enough to come here without a reason?

After finishing, he just nodded, leaned on one side of the car, and looked around.

Liu Zheng didn’t speak, but merely smiled and nodded. Finally, he walked toward the other side of the grove.
He only wanted to get away from Director Xiao; he didn’t want to discuss his job with him. After all, he had already made up his mind—he definitely wouldn’t go there.
In the small grove, there really wasn’t much to explore; it was practically all wilderness and seemed completely uninhabited.
After taking a walk around, Liu Zheng felt there was nowhere else to go, and sensing that the time was about right, he returned to where he had been.

A little over ten minutes later, he saw a white van slowly enter. When the van stopped at the receiving area, a driver got out.
He had never seen this driver before and didn’t recognize him; the driver spoke briefly with someone there and then waited for a minute or two as if processing some paperwork.
Then, he got back into the van, but when the van turned a corner, Liu Zheng noticed it didn’t seem to be headed toward the boiler room.
The van stopped outside a row of houses; the door opened, and two men in dark coats emerged, pushing a flatbed cart from inside.
Liu Zheng saw clearly that these two men were not the previous Li Er he had encountered, and in fact, he hadn’t seen Li Er at all at that moment.
Subsequently, the wrapped body was placed on the flatbed cart. They exchanged a few polite words, signed some documents, and then drove away from the site.
The gate closed tightly again.
Liu Zheng waited in the tree for over ten minutes, and noticing no further activity, he jumped down from the tree.
