The journey from Spryce Island to Sky City is a long trek, and the previous Cloud-Soaring Falcon is no longer suitable for such long-distance travel. Therefore, the Azure Sky Kingdom provided a more comfortable and secure means of transportation.

One of the main reasons the delegation stayed on Spryce Island for three days was to await its arrival.

The behemoth in the sky, a legendary beast—the Leviathan’s offspring.

Leviathan is a mythological creature, a colossal magical beast that can block the sunlight and starlight in the sky.

It is said that wherever it passes, darkness will persist for a full three days and nights, continuous and void of light. Its size even surpasses the location of the Sky Island, the floating island known as Feather Capital, considered the largest in the world.

Of course, Leviathan disappeared completely in the mythical era, a thousand years ago when the Azure Sky Kingdom did not yet have its current appearance. Any comparisons are more like later interpretations based on remaining records, or speculations.

The Leviathan’s offspring is not a direct descendant in the true sense of the mythical creature Leviathan, there is no clear blood relation between them.

However, this magical beast is simply enormous. Although its volume may not match a real floating island, it reaches dimensions measured in kilometers. Even compared to aircraft carriers on Earth or Violet’s own 【Noah’s Ark】, it appears incredibly small.

Perhaps only true interstellar warships can be considered comparable in size.

This creature is not a bird. Strictly speaking, it resembles the whales Violet saw on Earth.

Wingless, it can soar in the sky. Although not particularly fast, under normal circumstances, it travels at a speed of about 30-50 kilometers per hour, which is still enough to marvel at.

Although Violet has read about this peculiar magical beast called the Leviathan’s offspring in books, seeing it with her own eyes is indeed a first-time experience.

If we talk about volume alone, whether it’s a giant dragon or the ancient turtle named Nasserian in the Beastman Kingdom’s Black River, they are far from matching this creature. In the current absence of the true Leviathan, the priest lady believes that the Leviathan’s offspring might even qualify to compete for the title of “largest magical beast in the world.”

Of course, with such a massive body and an unimaginable weight likely in the tens of thousands of tons, even if they had wings, it would be challenging to support. The ability of the Leviathan’s offspring to fly steadily in the air under such circumstances relies on a pseudo-law similar to a talent.

Regarding more specific details, Violet is not very clear. After all, the Leviathan’s offspring is already a strategic force of the Azure Sky Kingdom, and the entire country reportedly only has three of them. Involving core secrets, it’s naturally impossible for outsiders to easily know.

...........................

“It’s unbelievable. Although I’ve heard about the mobile floating island, the Leviathan’s offspring, at home before, I never thought I would have the chance to ride on it myself....”

In a spacious cabin, the knight Miss Edwina lay on what seemed like a glass-like transparent crystal screen, marveling through it at the clouds constantly passing by on both sides.

Meanwhile, Xiao Guang, Leila, Rene, and others gathered around a table, continuing to play some kind of card game enthusiastically.

Comfortably lying on a soft chair with a cup of straw-inserted beverage by her side, the priestess temporarily set aside her book and turned her head to look at Edwina and the blue sky with a hint of helplessness.

“I say, are you a goldfish? Why do you have to repeat the same words several times every day?”

“Hehe... it’s just so incredible. I heard that the Leviathan’s offspring is crucial to the Azure Sky Kingdom, and they wouldn’t easily allow outsiders to enter. I never thought they would bring it out to entertain the delegation from the Human United Kingdom.”

The knight giggled and scratched her head. Although she had never heard of the strange fish called a “goldfish,” if Miss Violet mentioned it, it must be something real and meaningful.

Besides, they are currently inside the belly of the Leviathan’s offspring.

More accurately, they are in a special abdominal cavity layer specially designed to carry objects.

The Leviathan’s offspring not only has a massive body, but many parts of its composition, aside from the essential organs for sustaining life, are also incredibly peculiar.

At first glance, these parts may seem useless, but they serve to allow small organisms to thrive and survive within its body. Through certain organs, these small life forms can even communicate directly with the consciousness of this colossal creature.

No one knows why the Leviathan’s offspring has developed in this way, but undoubtedly, this is one of the crucial reasons why the Azure Sky Kingdom has formed a contract with it, creating residential areas inside its body, similar to the achievements of manned spacecraft on Earth.

Here, inhabitants can even see the external airspace scenery directly through magically projected images set up afterwards. The comfort and safety are unparalleled.

However, despite the novelty, after nearly a week on “board,” most people have already lost their initial excitement. Only individuals with prolonged excitement, like Edwina, still maintain their enthusiasm.

By the way, Violet initially planned to have Edwina replace her and join the poker game with the rookie trio. However, she was informed that clergy members are prohibited from participating in any gambling, even if the stakes are just peanuts.

Although Violet felt that if she insisted, Edwina would likely agree, she decided it wasn’t necessary to force a devout believer to break their vows over such a trivial matter. Therefore, the idea was dropped.

As a replacement, the white-winged girl known as Sigrid Kulk, the current captain of the winged guard, is now participating in the poker duel. She is seated across from a golden-haired girl and, along with Leila and Rene, is allied against a dragon in the center.

Originally, Violet had no intention of pulling in this warrior, but for some reason, since boarding the Leviathan’s offspring and setting sail towards the Sky City, this captain of the winged guard has been frequently coming to their side.

When asked about the reason, it’s always something like “checking if you need anything” or “curious about the heroes who defeated the Abyssal Beast,” even Edwina could tell that these were just excuses.

It’s hard not to be concerned.

Considering the recent surge in mysterious events, it’s possible that things like the Abyss are becoming more active. The priest lady decided to remain a bit more vigilant.

However, after discreetly investigating her several times, Violet found that Sigrid is indeed a pure white-winged individual, without any signs of corruption or control. After repeated interactions, she became more convinced that this girl is just a tsundere silly priestess. Violet gradually let go of her caution.

Although there might be some hidden agenda or secrets being kept from them, it’s unlikely to be a massive threat that would harm them. Violet decided to let Sigrid be, especially with her and the dragon girl present. Additionally, the other girls here are at least legendary, same level as Sigrid, so there shouldn’t be much to worry about.

Rather than being concerned, Violet thought it was just right. This seemingly not-so-bright individual is perfect for joining the rookie trio, creating a balanced and exciting battle.

And the performance of the captain of the guard didn’t disappoint Violet either.
