Chapter 147: Chapter 146 : Saved By Fate

The heavy silence of the abandoned Love Hotel pressed down on Haruto like a suffocating blanket. The only sound left in the room was the faint creaking of the old floorboards under Reina’s footsteps as she stood up from him. The dust motes danced in the golden sunlight that sliced through the broken windows, and the air still smelled of her squirt, his cum, and the stale rot of years of sex.

She got a phone call.

Reina didn’t stay. She simply turned, picked up her discarded sundress, and slipped it on without bothering to clean herself. She took the knife from the bed and tucked it into her waistband, then walked to the door. Before she left, she leaned down and gave Haruto one last look — her eyes cold and satisfied.

"I’ll be back soon," she said sweetly, as if nothing had happened. "Stay exactly where you are."

The door clicked shut behind her.

Haruto lay there, completely naked and still locked to the bed frame. His wrists and ankles burned from the metal cuffs. His face and chest were sticky and wet with her squirt. His mind was spinning with pure terror.

’She’s gone... but she’s coming back. She has the knife. She has the power. I’m completely at her mercy.’

He had no way to escape. No hope. Just the slow, creeping realization that this was no longer a game.

Minutes later, he heard it — a set of footsteps coming down the hallway. Light, quick, and familiar.

Haruto’s heart stopped.

The door opened slowly.

Ayaka stepped inside.

She was wearing her usual shrine dress — but her face was pale, eyes wide with shock. It feels like she had come straight from heaven, her hair still in a neat ponytail, a small bag hanging from her shoulder. She looked around the dusty, ruined room and froze.

Haruto’s voice came out hoarse and broken.

"Ayaka...? Is that you?"

Ayaka’s eyes landed on him — bound, naked, covered in Reina’s squirt, face and chest glistening with dried fluids. She took one terrified step forward and whispered, "Oh my god..."

Without a word, she rushed to the bed and started unlocking the cuffs. The first metal ring slid free from Haruto’s wrist. He gasped in relief as the cold steel left his skin. Ayaka worked quickly and frantically, her hands shaking as she freed his other arm, both ankles, and finally the last cuff.

Once he was free, Ayaka didn’t hesitate. She picked up his clothes from the floor and tossed them to him. Haruto dressed with shaking hands — pants, shirt, shoes — every movement clumsy and desperate. Ayaka stood guard at the door, her eyes darting nervously between the broken windows and the hallway.

"Let’s go," she said softly, her voice trembling with fear. "Now. Now now now."

Haruto didn’t argue. He followed her out of the room, the abandoned Love Hotel’s dusty hell still behind him. Ayaka’s small bag swung at her side as they ran down the creaky stairs and out through the broken front gate.

They reached Haruto’s bicycle. Ayaka didn’t even ask. She jumped on the back seat behind him, holding his waist tightly.

"Ride!" she whispered urgently against his ear. "Just ride! Don’t stop!"

Haruto pedaled as fast as the old bicycle could carry them, the mountain road disappearing behind them. The cold air rushed past, but it wasn’t enough to cool the terror still burning in his chest.

He had escaped from the hell.

But he still didn’t understand why.

He still didn’t know how deep the darkness went.

All he knew was that he was alive.

And that was enough for now.

The cycle rolled slowly along the mountain road, the paddles soft hum blending with the distant sound of the river. Haruto’s legs were heavy, his muscles burning from the long climb and the earlier exhaustion. He had pedaled for more than twenty minutes when the ache in his thighs and back became unbearable. He pulled the bicycle off the narrow path and stopped it beside a large fallen log.

The place was quiet and secluded. Tall pines stood around them like silent guardians, and the river could still be heard far below. The air was crisp and cool, carrying the scent of wildflowers and damp earth.

Ayaka sat behind him on the back seat, her arms still wrapped around his waist. She hadn’t said a word since they had left the abandoned Love Hotel, but her body remained tense against his back.

Haruto finally turned his head slightly and spoke in a low, exhausted voice.

"Ayaka... why are you here? How did you find me?"

Ayaka was silent for a long moment. Then she began to speak, her voice soft but steady.

"I live in the shrine, so when I was a child, I used to play in the old storage room behind the main building. There were old herb books, dried plants, and a whole shelf of medicine. I started reading them... and collecting herbs from the mountains became my habit."

She paused, her fingers gently squeezing his waist.

"Today I came up the mountain earlier than usual. I didn’t know why... I just felt like it. I was climbing the same path when I saw Reina. She was walking alone, carrying a small bag, and she looked... off. Not like her usual playful self. Her steps were too quiet, her eyes were too sharp. It felt wrong. Fishy. So I followed her at a distance."

Ayaka’s voice trembled slightly as she continued.

"I didn’t know this place had an abandoned love hotel. I only saw the building from far away — big, pink, broken, covered in vines. It looked like something from a nightmare. When I got closer, I saw you. You were on the bed... naked... bound... and Reina was on top of you."

She swallowed hard.

"I waited until she left. Then I came in. I saw the cuffs, the knife, the mess on the floor. I was so scared... but I didn’t think. I just acted. I unlocked you and brought you back here. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before... I was too scared to say anything."

Haruto stayed completely still on the bicycle, the bike still running softly beneath them. His mind was spinning with a strange mix of gratitude and disbelief.

’Ayaka... my calm, reliable Ayaka... she came for me. She saved me from those two insane twins.’

He felt the weight of the day crash over him. The exhaustion, the fear, the relief — all of it pressed down on his chest so heavily that he had to lean forward slightly.

"I... I don’t even know what to say," he whispered, his voice hoarse. "You could have been hurt. You could have seen something worse. Why did you risk everything for me?"

Ayaka hugged his waist tighter from behind, her voice soft but full of sincerity.

"Because you’re you, Haruto. Because you’re kind. Because you always take care of everyone — even when no one is watching. I couldn’t just let something happen to you."

Haruto turned his head slightly and gave her a small, grateful smile.

"I’m lucky... really lucky that you were here today. Thank you, Ayaka. Thank you so much."

The two of them sat together on the bicycle for a long moment, the quiet mountain road stretching endlessly in front of them. The sun was high now, but the air still carried the cool scent of the forest. Haruto felt safe for the first time in hours, even though his body was still shaking from everything that had just happened.

Ayaka rested her cheek gently against his back.

"We’ll talk more when we’re home," she whispered. "But for now... let’s just get you back safely."

Haruto nodded and started pedaling again, the bicycle moving forward slowly under the warm afternoon sun.

He had been saved.

But the real questions still remained.

The cycle continued its slow, steady climb up the mountain road, the soft hum blending with the distant sound of the river and the cool afternoon breeze. Haruto’s legs ached from the long day, but his mind was spinning with the heavy weight of everything that had just happened.

Ayaka was still sitting tightly behind him, her arms wrapped protectively around his waist, her body warm against his back. The road was empty, the pines growing thicker on both sides, and the world around them felt strangely safe for the first time since he had left the abandoned Love Hotel.

After a long, silent stretch, Haruto finally spoke, his voice low and serious.

"Ayaka... please keep your distance from Reina and Selena. Both of them are psychopaths. They’re completely filled with dark, twisted lust. They’re dangerous. Stay away from them as much as you can."

Ayaka was silent for a moment, her fingers tightening slightly on his waist.

"Who is Selena?" she asked quietly. "I don’t know anyone named Selena."

Haruto’s breath caught.

His mind suddenly froze.

"You don’t know Selena?" he repeated, his voice suddenly trembling.

He turned his head slightly, looking back at her with wide, shocked eyes.

"Selena is Reina’s twin sister."

Ayaka’s body stiffened instantly behind him.

"I... I don’t know any twin sister of Reina," she said, her voice filled with genuine confusion. "No one knows Reina has a twin. She always said she was an only child. I never heard anything about a sister named Selena."

The words landed like a bomb in Haruto’s chest.

His mind spun violently.

If Ayaka didn’t know about Selena...

That meant Reina had told everyone she is the only child. And that’s completely lie.

The realization hit him like ice water.

The twins had been working together for years. They had planned this moment together. They had been watching him, stalking him, and now they were both in this together. The danger wasn’t just Reina anymore. It was both of them.

Haruto’s stomach twisted with deep, cold fear.

Something far deeper was rooting.

Far more dangerous than what he had faced in the abandoned Love Hotel.

The twins had been hiding for three years.

They had been planning this for years.

And Ayaka had no idea.

The mountain road suddenly felt much darker than it had moments ago.
