Chapter 155: No Distractions

The sun had fully set. Soft lantern light flickered across the grounds, casting warm golden glows over the guests. Some were still dancing, the music lively, while a good quarter of the men were already drunk; slurring, laughing too loud, and getting handsy with the maids. The women... nearly half of them kept stealing glances at me, some openly staring.

"Hey."

I turned at the voice behind me. There she was... sitting at a small table with an older man. The same dark-skinned beauty I’d seen stepping out of that tent earlier, naked, cum dripping down her thighs. She looked incredible in a revealing dress that barely contained her massive breasts. The deep neckline plunged almost to her navel, the thin fabric clinging to her heavy tits and leaving little to the imagination.

"This is my husband, Groatch," she said with a sultry smile. "And you know me. Ravelle."

The man was easily in his sixties, gray-haired and mild-looking. He gave me a polite nod.

"Nice to meet you. I’m Ace," I replied.

The man nodded. "Likewise, boy."

Ravelle’s eyes stayed locked on me the entire time while I talked to the husband. Then, quietly enough that only I could hear, she leaned in slightly.

She was also wearing a garter belt, but it seemed like it had an empty dagger sheath connected to it. Guess she couldn’t enter here with her weapon. Though, I didn’t know why a ’guest entertainer’ would need a dagger to protect herself.

She noticed my gaze. "Yeah... stolen."

"Oh, you managed to pass over the... guards?"

She nodded. "Why, of course. But... a customer stole it right under my nose. Maybe you can help me find it tomorrow?"

A real life quest? Eh, sure. Why not.

She smirked at me. "Don’t let the couple know... but what a boring ceremony this is turning out to be, right?"

I shrugged and let out an awkward chuckle.

She smiled, then slowly slid back in her seat until her back pressed firmly against mine. Her voice dropped to a husky whisper.

"Maybe we can do a little... you know?"

I glanced at her husband. Groatch was just smiling calmly, sipping his drink like nothing was happening. I cleared my throat. "Sorry, but I’m good."

"Aww, not in the mood?" Ravelle purred. "Come on, it’ll be fun. We can use the stable... fuck where the horses sleep. Get a little action going."

She leaned back even more, resting the back of her head on my shoulder. Her warm breath tickled my ear as she whispered, "My husband can’t get me anymore. I need a real man. A younger, thick dick to stretch this lonely, married pussy out."

Her hand slipped down between her thighs, openly rubbing her vagina through the thin fabric of her dress. I could see the way she pressed two fingers against her mound, slowly circling.

"Someone to ruin me," she breathed, then gently bit my earlobe, her tongue flicking against it. "I want you to wreck this wet little hole."

Shiiiit. My dick twitched hard in my pants, swelling rapidly at her filthy words. The memory of her walking out of that tent, big breasts bouncing, cum leaking from her freshly used pussy, flooded back.

I glanced toward the center of the gathering. The couple had been moved to a decorated table in the middle, with maids bringing them drinks and guests coming and going to congratulate them. Midnight was approaching, the traditional time for the vows.

I shook my head. "Sorry, I can’t. It’s nearly midnight. The vows will be..."

"What about after midnight?" Ravelle whispered, her head still comfortably on my shoulder, voice dripping with lust. "Then?"

I hesitated for a second, then nodded. "Yeah... sure."

Yeah, no. I was here for a reason. No distractions.

"Yay. Thank you!" She gave a soft, delighted laugh and finally pushed herself off me. She turned back to the table with a sweet, innocent smile like she hadn’t just been begging me to fuck her in the stables.

I sat there, heart pounding, cock still half-hard.

Sheesh... what the hell was that? And... was this really the first time I met with her? I swear, she seemed similar for some reason. Hell, she looked like my second grade math teacher.

Jack Merrygold rose from his seat and walked toward the bride and groom. At the far end of the courtyard, the Queen observed everything from the head table prepared especially for her. Silver platters covered the table from one end to the other, accompanied by bottles of the finest wine in the estate, yet she remained more interested in the ceremony than the feast.

Jack picked up an empty crystal goblet from the table beside the couple and gently tapped it with a silver spoon. The clear chime rang across the courtyard.

The conversations gradually faded until every guest turned their attention toward him.

Jack smiled warmly before speaking. "My honored guests, thank you once again for sharing this evening with my family."

He paused and looked toward the enormous oak tree standing proudly near the center of the courtyard.

"Many years ago, my wife and I stood beneath that very tree. We were younger, far more nervous than these two, and convinced the gods themselves were watching every word we spoke."

A few guests laughed softly.

"I remember promising her a life free from hardship. As every married man here already knows, that promise proved impossible to keep."

More laughter spread through the crowd.

"But I discovered something far more important over the years. Marriage is not about avoiding hardship. It is about facing every hardship together."

His expression softened as he looked at Cadence and Jane, the soon-to-be wife.

"The hour is almost upon us."

He extended one hand toward them.

"Cadence. Jane. Please."

The couple rose together.

Still linked arm in arm, they walked slowly toward the great oak while the musicians exchanged their lively melodies for something slower and more ceremonial. The entire courtyard watched in respectful silence as the two stopped beneath the broad branches that had sheltered generations of Merrygold weddings.

An elderly priest stepped forward, dressed in flowing white robes embroidered with golden thread. He held a small silver bowl filled with clear water and dipped two fingers into it before tracing a blessing over the couple.

"Before the gods who watch over this kingdom," he said, "and before the witnesses gathered here tonight, do you freely offer your lives, your names, and your futures to one another?"

"I do," Jane answered.

"I do," Cadence replied.

The priest nodded.

"Then may your joys be shared, your burdens be carried together, and your hearts remain faithful until the gods themselves call you home."

He stepped aside.

Cadence gently lifted Jane’s hand and leaned forward.

The two shared a kiss beneath the ancient tree. The courtyard erupted into applause.

I watched Cadence instead of celebrating.

Coward.

You had Jelda murdered. You had Hatche silenced. You even sent assassins after me. And now you stood beneath a sacred tree, smiling as though your hands had never been stained with blood.

Jack accepted a wine glass from one of the maids and raised it high above his head.

"My valued guests," he announced proudly, "raise your glasses to the newly married couple. May their future be long, prosperous, and blessed by the gods."

Cheers echoed throughout the courtyard.

"To the bride and groom!"

"Congratulations!"

The guests lifted their glasses together.

I didn’t move.

The musicians immediately began playing again, this time choosing cheerful melodies that encouraged the guests onto the dance floor. Couples laughed as they danced beneath the lanterns while servants hurried through the celebration carrying fresh bottles of wine and trays filled with food.

The festivities quickly grew louder.

Some guests had already drunk enough to lose their balance. A few of them wandered toward the stable before collapsing onto benches or simply lying in the grass, laughing at jokes nobody else seemed to understand.

Maids continued weaving through the crowd, replacing empty bottles almost as quickly as they were finished.

I quietly pushed my chair back and stood. There was no reason for me to celebrate. I had seen what I came to see.

Now it was time to find my assigned room, wait for the right opportunity, and figure out how to slip into the main mansion without drawing attention. Somehow, I had to reach the fifth floor and search Cadence’s bedroom before this night was over.

I turned away from the courtyard and headed toward the staircase leading into the main building. Just as I reached the large double doors, one of the butlers standing nearby stepped forward and gave me a respectful bow.

"Forgive me, sir, but may I ask where you are headed?"

"My assigned room."

"Very good, sir. May I have your name?"

"Ace Walker."

The butler opened the leather ledger tucked beneath his arm and carefully ran a finger down one of the pages. After a few seconds, he stopped, nodded to himself, and shut it.

"Ah, yes. Mr. Ace Walker." He bowed once again. "Her Majesty’s honored guest. Please allow me to escort you to your room."

"You know where it is?"

"Indeed, sir. Your accommodations are not located within the guest house. Lord Merygold personally requested that both Her Majesty and her esteemed guest reside within the main estate."

I raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Really?"

"Quite so, sir."

My fucking God.

That made everything so much easier.

If my room was inside the main mansion, I wouldn’t have to sneak in and out of the guest house every time I wanted to move around. That alone would save me a lot of unnecessary trouble.

Still...

It almost felt a little too convenient.

"Please, follow me, sir."
