Ye Yu’s words left Xinmo Zhishen and Bai Xiao momentarily frozen in place.
How dare this ant think he could strike back?
Just how inflated is your ego?
Xinmo Zhishen, just as before, produced a string of golden prayer beads. The power contained within was so fierce that the surrounding space began to tremble violently.
Turning the beads between his fingers, he spoke in an icy voice, “Ant, you will never comprehend what it means to wield divine power! Today, I will show you just how ridiculous your ignorance truly is!”
Ye Yu’s eyes shot upward, blazing with battle intent.
A man like him would naturally prefer to maintain stability forever—if he could. But when driven to the brink, his first thought was never to surrender; it was to fight to the last breath!
Last time, he had used his Fist Qi to take down Qiao Shoushu, the summoner of Xinmo Zhishen. But this time, his target was more than just Bai Xiao—it was the projection of Xinmo Zhishen himself.
After all, his strength was no longer weak. Now that he had reached the Demon Lord Realm and amassed powerful cultivation, a miracle was not impossible.
With a sudden step forward, he unleashed the Yao Immortal Art Tianyao Mieshi Jue (Heavenly Yao World-Ending Technique). His figure swelled, revealing a ten-thousand-foot-tall Dharma form in full.
At the same time, he clenched his fist and activated the Demon Immortal Art Molin Tian (Demon’s Approach to Heaven) at full force. Purple demonic runes instantly enveloped his entire body as he roared toward Xinmo Zhishen and Bai Xiao.
The fierce roar sent a shiver through Bai Xiao, filling him with an inexplicable dread. This creature, once as insignificant as an ant, had now become a towering colossus—and the transformation was no mere illusion!
Sensing Ye Yu’s extraordinary aura, Xinmo Zhishen immediately attempted to crush his prayer beads in hand. But having failed once before, Ye Yu would never allow him to complete the gesture again.
With that thought, Ye Yu surged forward and unleashed the Ghost Immortal Art Fenjǐn Jiuyou (Flame of the Nine Nether) upon Xinmo Zhishen’s right hand. In an instant, black ghost-fire erupted and ravenously burned his hand.
Xinmo Zhishen flung his hand aside in pain, trying to extinguish the flames.
Ye Yu’s eyes lit up. It worked! A projection was only a projection—it did not possess the full power of a god. Even Xinmo Zhishen could be disrupted by Fenjǐn Jiuyou!
Though he couldn’t be sure how much damage it caused, the mere opening was enough.
Seizing the moment, Ye Yu delivered a full-force punch. In that instant, wind and clouds roiled across a ten-thousand-mile radius, and the surging Fist Qi rent the very fabric of space.
Xinmo Zhishen’s projection split in two and dissolved into ash on the wind.
At that moment, Xinmo Zhishen slowly removed his grotesque mask, revealing a hideously ugly face. With crimson eyes fixed on Ye Yu, he snarled, “Boy, I will remember you! If one day you dare ascend to the Divine Realm, I will show you my true power!”
Having spoken, the projection vanished completely from the air.
Ye Yu stood panting heavily—the last punch had been a desperate gamble that nearly drained every drop of his demonic qi. Fortunately, the crisis seemed to have passed.
Meanwhile, Bai Xiao stood in a daze, staring at the empty sky as though in a trance. He could never have dreamed that Xinmo Zhishen might one day be slain by a demon.
Ye Yu exhaled a ragged breath and approached Bai Xiao, looking down at the powerful Demon Lord–Realm cultivator. In a cold voice he asked, “Bai Xiao, now tell me—who is the ant?”
The question snapped Bai Xiao back to reality. He shivered and looked up at Ye Yu’s towering Dharma form, a twisted smile forming on his lips.
Hours later, Ye Yu returned to the Lotus Province Demon Palace with the Hidden God Flower and summoned Xu Nanqiao, recounting every detail of what had happened.
Upon hearing the tale, she flew into a rage. How despicable! There were villains even in the Demon Realm, daring to scheme against her husband in such a way!
“I must grind him to dust!” she declared.
Ye Yu nodded solemnly. “His bones have been ground, and his ashes scattered. As for what to do with this Hidden God Flower... Bai Xiao claimed it could be refined into an elixir.”
Xu Nanqiao studied the flower carefully. “It truly is a # Nоvеlight # rare treasure, and yes, it can be used to refine an elixir. It will greatly benefit a demon’s physique.”
Relieved, Ye Yu handed the flower over for processing. True to her word, Xu Nanqiao found a renowned demon alchemist, and after a year’s work, they produced three Hidden God Pills.
Ye Yu examined them before swallowing one, quietly feeling the changes within his body. His physique had indeed strengthened—though not as dramatically as he’d imagined.
He learned that the pill’s effect was most potent upon first use, diminishing with each subsequent dose. So he gave one pill each to Xu Nanqiao and Mo Geilian.
Mo Geilian was moved to tears upon receiving the pill, unable to thank Ye Yu properly as he kept calling him “Big Brother.”
Ye Yu teased, “If you don’t know how to thank me, I’ll teach you. You should sing me a song... like ‘You Always Ask of Me—’”
Two hundred years flew by in the blink of an eye. Ye Yu ultimately reached the pinnacle of the Demon Lord Realm, becoming the unrivaled warrior of the Demon Realm—his supremacy universally acknowledged.
In recent days, Ye Yu often gazed skyward. He could feel an invisible summons—perhaps the void would shatter soon.
Three days later, Demon Sovereign Tian arrived in the Demon Realm and sought out Ye Yu. At the sight of him, Tian froze in place.
“You, too, are about to shatter the void?”
