In the demon realm, though Lianhua State was small, sects stood like forests and powerhouses emerged in droves—truly a land of extraordinary talent. Among them, Qi Li Ta was an old, established demon sect. It had once shone with glory, but after the calamity from the Celestial Realm, some of its greats vanished and it gradually declined. Even so, the proverb “a starving camel is bigger than a horse” applied: Qi Li Ta still held firm as a second-tier sect in Lianhua State. Its second-generation heirs remained arrogantly domineering.

Outside Qi Li Ta’s sect grounds, several demons strolled, still savoring the morning’s fight. “I have to say, Brother Le’s kick was the coolest—he sent that Ah Rui flying upside-down! Perfect power and precision!” “Naturally—that Brother Le is destined to become a big shot in the demon realm. Kicking that blockhead Ah Rui was nothing. Wonder if we killed him, though.” “Good riddance if we did! That guy’s always simpering—he got on my nerves. Even without Brother Le’s kick, I would have beaten him senseless!” “No, you don’t get it—I hope Ah Rui survived. That way we can keep beating him!” They laughed uproariously.

The loudest laugh was from Le Yang, only son of Qi Li Ta’s Elder Le Bufan. Spoiled since birth, he’d grown cruel, roaming the sect with his lackeys and bullying whoever he pleased. When Ah Rui was still in Qi Li Ta, weak and submissive, he’d been their target. In time, Ah Rui slipped away. With him gone, they lost their plaything—until today, when they unexpectedly ran into him again. Before Ah Rui could react, Le Yang kicked him over and the others joined in, relishing the brutal exercise of their limbs. Le Yang, though, had another motive: the demon witch he fancied had favored Ah Rui. That was why he really beat him!

Clapping a lackey on the shoulder, Le Yang agreed, “Right—you said it. I hope Ah Rui’s alive; otherwise, how will we have our fun later?” Before he could finish, a fierce punch reduced that demon to a mist of blood! The others froze, then screamed like madmen. Mo Gei Lian, however, showed no mercy—each blow carried enough force to obliterate his foes completely, body and soul. Within mere breaths, every lackey lay dead, leaving only Le Yang.

“Stop!” A calm, mellow voice rang out. Mo Gei Lian’s fist halted inches from Le Yang’s face, the wind from his punch having already torn several cuts across it. Had he stayed one breath longer, Le Yang would have shared his men’s fate. Even so, the display terrified the second-generation heir, who collapsed, gasping and begging, “Don’t kill me! Please don’t kill me! My father is Qi Li Ta’s Elder Le Bufan—if I die, he’ll never forgive you!”

Mo Gei Lian’s expression didn’t change; he turned and looked back. Following his gaze, Le Yang saw a handsome man approaching—it was Ye Yu! From Ah Rui’s dream, Ye Yu knew Le Yang was the mastermind behind the bullying. That was why he had spared the brat’s life. But Ye Yu rarely let bullies enjoy the luxury of speaking to him comfortably. He strode forward, stomped on Le Yang’s face, pinning him to the ground, and quietly said, “To untie a knot, seek the one who tied it. Killing him outright is too cheap. I’ll leave him to Ah Rui. You have more important matters—move on.”

Mo Gei Lian nodded heavily. In the next moment, he transformed into a streak of light that shot into the sky, crashing down on Qi Li Ta’s protective array. The unparalleled impact cracked the array into ruin. Even Ye Yu, a kilometer away, could feel the ground tremble! “Tsk, tsk—this is why body forging rules in the demon realm,” he muttered. “Straightforward, head-on tactics like this require a truly formidable physique!”

Qi Li Ta’s disciples were stunned by the commotion. “Who’s destroying the protective array in broad daylight? We haven’t had any major enemies lately!” They looked up but didn’t recognize the attacker’s unfamiliar figure.

Suddenly, Mo Gei Lian raised both fists like a primordial ape demon and slammed them down—one of the Mo Lin Tian technique’s moves, Zhiyang Luo (Supreme Yang Descent)! Boom! With a muffled roar, Qi Li Ta’s array finally collapsed completely. Mo Gei Lian landed forcefully on the ground, crushing another unlucky demon’s spine with his foot. The wails of agony echoed across the field, sending Qi Li Ta’s disciples into a terrified retreat.

At that moment, the surrounding space distorted, and five demons of diverse forms appeared a hundred meters away. Their leader was none other than Elder Le Bufan himself, his face icy. “Scoundrel—who are you? How dare you trespass into Qi Li Ta and injure my disciples! Have you considered the consequences?”

Mo Gei Lian sneered, “I am Mo Gei Lian, Sect Lord of Chi Mo Hall. Consequences? I don’t care about those. Big brother asked me if I dared to tear down your sect—and of course I dared. So here I am!”
