Yinghuo was the name of a star among the heavenly constellations!

She commanded the power of the stars and walked upon the stellar tracks. As long as the stars endured, her divine might would never wane!

In that era, Yinghuo had indeed been magnificent within the Divine Realm!

But the Flesh-Devouring Evil God Shen Kangren was like a sponge—he constantly absorbed external power to fill himself and grow ever stronger!

Yinghuo naturally understood this trait well.

Yet no matter how many calculations she made, she never expected Shen Kangren to set his sights on her!

Left with no choice after being forced to cast her body down to the Mortal Realm, Yinghuo immediately unleashed her secret art and prepared to slip away in the chaos. As long as she survived, she would one day regain her strength—and then exact her revenge!

But how could Shen Kangren and Kong Yang possibly let her escape?

They had already torn away all pretenses of civility. If they allowed Yinghuo any chance to return, it would be them who perished!

So under no circumstances would they allow her to live.

Pursued relentlessly, Yinghuo’s soul-form began to waver. If this continued, she would surely be destroyed by their hands soon!

Just then, Yinghuo saw the fabled Wuwang Mountain.

Entering it offered a chance to reach the Lower Five Realms. Though the odds were one in nine of grave peril, Yinghuo hesitated not a moment and stepped into Wuwang Mountain!

Kong Yang and Shen Kangren, seeing this, halted their pursuit. They knew the mountain’s fearsome reputation—its death rate was too high to risk a gamble!

So they stood at the base until the mountain vanished, and only then did they turn away.

Inside Wuwang Mountain, every step was fraught with danger—it was truly a hellish passage to the Lower Five Realms. A single misstep meant death and oblivion, even for ordinary gods with divine bodies. All the more so for Yinghuo, reduced to but a wisp of soul.

Had fortune not favored her, she could not have survived!

Even so, Yinghuo’s soul was gravely wounded. After falling into the Demon Realm, she slumbered for a long time before finally awakening.

Her first act upon awakening was to employ a hidden method to seek out her body. Only when soul and flesh united could she exert her star-power to the fullest!

According to her divinations, the box sealing her body lay somewhere in the Mortal Sea.

Suppressing her soul’s power to its lowest, and evading the watchful eyes of the Dao, she began her search among mortals—but found nothing.

She realized then that someone had stolen her body!

Thus in the time that followed, Yinghuo ventured into the Demon and Nether Realms in search of her vessel. Any tales of her slaughtering all before her with ruthless cruelty were all exaggerations—Yinghuo was simply earnest and single-minded in reclaiming her divine form.

Yet she kept encountering fools who lacked sense, and boasted of their strength with insolent words!

Under those circumstances, how could Yinghuo indulge them? She could only slay them!

But rumors grew wild in their retelling.

Yinghuo did not care for such reputation—fame meant nothing to her. Her sole focus was finding her body.

Originally, she planned to scour all six realms. Once she discovered who had taken her body, she would let that person know true agony!

At that moment, Ye Yu’s expression had grown somewhat uneasy—and even Little White on his shoulder turned around at once.

No wonder—such murderous intent was almost overwhelming!

Fortunately, Yinghuo merely glanced at Ye Yu before continuing her tale.

Within the Six Realms, many things never went as planned!

Perhaps Yinghuo’s killing intent had grown too strong and her soul had swelled beyond its limit. The Dao detected her, shattered the void, and forced her back into the Divine Realm.

Facing the descending Path-Conveying Trail, Yinghuo—no matter how unwilling—had to ascend, or suffer consequences too horrifying to imagine.

Back in the Divine Realm, Yinghuo first went to the Lotus God Pool. No matter how great her soul’s power, it remained only a soul—forever inferior to a divine body!

But she looked down upon any body gained by usurpation. Instead, within the Lotus God Pool she used the Lotus-Essence to craft a temporary divine form. Though not as perfect as an original body, it at least provided a layer of protection.

With her Lotus God Body secured, Yinghuo’s first goal was revenge! Thus came the scene of her slaying Kong Yang and Kong Ying and—by coincidence—saving Ye Yu’s life.

Heaven had granted mercy!

In that moment, Yinghuo reclaimed her divine form. Her power soared to the peak of the Golden God Realm—though not yet fully restored to its true apex, she believed it sufficient for vengeance.

She immediately began hunting for Shen Kangren, intent {N•o•v•e•l•i•g•h•t} on slaying the culprit of her past suffering.

Yet after so many years, she never expected the once-bashful youth at her side to have ascended into the Ancient God Realm!

Upon seeing Yinghuo’s return, Shen Kangren was overcome with excitement. He proclaimed he would complete what he failed to finish eighty thousand years ago—devouring her divine body!

They fought for a long while. Though Yinghuo wielded the power of stars, the gap in realm proved decisive, and she was grievously wounded.

Intending to retreat and restore her strength before resuming her vengeance, Yinghuo prepared to withdraw—but at that moment, Tai Shi Xiaoxin and the masters of Wuzhong Mountain arrived!

They managed to halt Shen Kangren, but some among them sought to finish Yinghuo off.

What followed, Ye Yu already knew: without Ye Yu’s timely arrival, Yinghuo would surely have perished!

Having heard her story, Ye Yu fell into deep thought.

Wuwang Mountain—again Wuwang Mountain! The pseudo-god Hua Jiuming had once used it to reach the Lower Five Realms, and so had Yinghuo. Could it be that all gods knew of this passage?

Pondering this, Ye Yu frowned slightly. After hesitating, he finally asked, “When you cast your body down to the Mortal Realm, was it because you were certain you could traverse Wuwang Mountain? Or had so many gods already used it to go below that—even at great risk—you were willing to try?”
