Ye Yu and Xiao Bai, trapped inside the water droplet, suddenly found that time outside seemed to have frozen. Kong Yang and Kong Ying both involuntarily turned to the south. The leaves that had been about to fall hung motionless in midair. The divine bird in the distance was locked in mid-flap. Ye Yu stared at the scene, bewildered by what was happening.

The next instant, pinpoint starlight drifted down. A woman in a black gown appeared, her bright eyes sweeping the entire clearing before she strode toward Kong Yang. Then she raised her foot and trampled her completely beneath it. At that moment, time around them snapped back to normal. Leaves fell, the divine bird completed its wingbeat, and Kong Yang let out a piercing wail. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Nearby, Kong Ying was about to rush forward to help, but with a faint gesture and another shower of starlight, she collapsed on the spot—no trace of body or bone remaining. Witnessing the decisive slaughter, Ye Yu raised an eyebrow. Even Xiao Bai couldn’t help commenting, “Big brother, this woman’s wrist is mighty strong!”

Ye Yu said nothing, but a flicker of satisfaction gleamed in his eyes. Someone like Kong Ying—who lured him here to kill him—deserved no pity. Only regret that she hadn’t died by his own hand. Pressing her foot into Kong Yang’s chest, the woman said coldly, “Yang’er, you stayed by my side all those years and I treated you well, yet you conspired with outsiders to kill me? Your loyalty is truly admirable!”

“K-goddess, I was deluded by malicious slander during the War of Ten Thousand Gods. The fault was mine. I beg you—considering our years together—spare my life!” Kong Yang sobbed desperately, her hair in disarray, her withered body trembling uncontrollably like a vengeful ghost from the Underworld.

The woman named Yinghuo bent slightly and asked coldly, “If you want to live, tell me: where are the others? And where is my divine body?”

Kong Yang tried to speak, but was crushed underfoot again as golden blood gushed from her orifices in a gruesome display. Still, she dared not hesitate. Through gasps she blurted, “I don’t know where the others are. Since the War of Ten Thousand Gods, we’ve lost contact. As for your divine body—I truly don’t know! Wasn’t it sealed by Yang Yang?”

At that, expectation vanished from Yinghuo’s eyes. “If you know nothing, you have no claim to life!” With a final stomp, she shattered the stars—and Kong Yang—into oblivion. The Celestial Realm stronghold had no strength to resist her might, and as Kong Yang died, her divine magic dissipated without its power source.

Ye Yu and Xiao ~Nоvеl𝕚ght~ Bai fell from the water droplet. Yinghuo glanced at them, about to speak, but Ye Yu hurriedly stepped forward. “We were captured by this woman,” he said, “she wants to devour me!”

By taking the initiative, he hoped to preserve a chance to live. Xiao Bai nodded vigorously in agreement. Hearing this, Yinghuo withdrew her gaze and prepared to leave.

The next second, however, she suddenly reappeared before Ye Yu, her expression deadly serious. Ye Yu’s eyes widened in surprise. “What? Don’t you believe me? Do you think I’m an accomplice of Kong Yang?”

But it wasn’t Ye Yu she focused on—it was Xiao Bai perched on his shoulder. Xiao Bai realized this and tried its best to look harmless, refusing even to bare its fangs. Yet Yinghuo seized the little creature effortlessly and held it before her, sniffing it lightly.

Ye Yu raised a brow—some divine women had odd tastes. Human women liked cats; Celestial Maidens liked lambs? Yet Xiao Bai had been his companion for years—he hesitated to part with it. Xiao Bai looked pleadingly at Ye Yu: “Big brother!”

But Yinghuo’s next words froze them both: “You carry my aura. You’re hiding my body!” Her voice was icy, murderous intent radiating as starlight pulsed around her.

Xiao Bai shook its head frantically. Ye Yu had a daring guess. “Goddess, you’re searching for your body in the Underworld, aren’t you?” Before he could think further, Yinghuo said again, “Since you refuse to confess, I’ll kill you and read your divine soul memories!”

“Wait!” Ye Yu seized her wrist and spoke rapidly, “Goddess, perhaps what you want is this!” He produced the massive ring from his storage ring.

“In the Celestial Realm, Xiao Bai and I are inseparable—there’s been no chance to touch your divine body, but this box...” Ye Yu’s voice trailed off. He guessed that the box might be the cause—otherwise how could Xiao Bai bear her aura and he have none?

Sure enough, as the giant box appeared, Yinghuo’s eyes lit up. She released Xiao Bai and tapped the box. The mysterious inscriptions dissolved, and the box crumbled to dust. Inside lay a woman identical to Yinghuo—pale and lifeless as if in a deep slumber.

“Finally found you!” Yinghuo’s voice trembled as she stepped forward and placed her hand on the woman’s heart.
