Three thousand li beneath the mountains outside Luanyao City, five Demon Kings gathered.

Xiang Yao Zhi Ge slammed his wooden staff into the ground and snorted, “Damn it, when will this end? Are we Demon Kings doomed to hide underground in eternal darkness forever?”

Next to him, the Centipede Demon Wu Di said coldly, “What choice do we have? Do you have the confidence to defeat that ghost? I heard the Demon King of Senyao City was formidable, with phoenix bloodline—and yet that ghost plucked every feather from him. Stripped bare like a featherless chicken! He ◆ Nоvеlіgһt ◆ (Only on Nоvеlіgһt) endured three days of humiliation before his soul shattered. No word can describe such disgrace.”

The Tree Demon Lin Yin scratched the leaves atop his head and muttered, “I just don’t understand where that ghost came from. Why does he pick on our city lords in particular?”

The Turtle Demon King Dan held an ancient shell and shook it sluggishly. “Don’t...rush... I’m...calculating...his...origin...”

Leopard Demon Bao Yaqing kicked him over, sending ancient coins scattering across the cave floor. “Calculations, calculations—get lost! You’ve been ‘calculating’ for half a month and learned nothing. Fellow Kings, I believe the five of us combined could take that ghost on! Unless he’s at the Ghost Emperor Realm, he’s surely dead meat!”

Wu Di sighed but said nothing.

Though Ye Yu’s displayed realm was Ghost Realm, he had toyed with a peak Demon King–level creature like it was a plaything. That proved he was at least half a step into the Emperor Realm! And all present were Demon Kings—naturally no match for him, hence their alliance and underground refuge.

Now they couldn’t stay hidden any longer and planned to risk everything against that ghost? What if they failed and ended up as his toys for three days?

Such an outrage would shatter their Dao hearts. They might suffer the same fate as the unfortunate Demon King of Senyao City!

This was Wu Di’s greatest fear.

Xiang Yao Zhi Ge and Lin Yin immediately stood in agreement.

Dan the Turtle Demon slowly rose, then sluggishly raised a hand—by the look in his eyes, he too wished to fight. He simply needed more time to finish his sentence.

Bao Yaqing kicked him again. “Scram, scram, scram! You’re in your regression phase—what good are you? Hide here with this cowardly centipede!”

Dan’s cultivation method was peculiar: every thousand years he regressed into an ancestral state. During that time, all actions became extraordinarily slow. However, his defenses became impenetrable, even to Emperor Realm foes.

Wu Di watched silently as the three demons cracked the barrier above and soared upward, emotions tangled. He was, after all, a Demon King himself—an authority not to be mocked. When had he become the butt of other kings’ jokes?

Coward? Those words did not belong to Wu Di!

“As the saying goes, ‘A demon would rather die facing the heavens than live a hundred thousand years under disgrace.’ With the four of us united, we can surely stand a chance!” he thought.

Resolved, Wu Di hoisted the fallen Turtle Demon Dan to his feet. “Stay here. Wait for our good news—we will join forces against that ghost and beat him until he flees!”

Without waiting for a reply, Wu Di tapped his toes and shot up toward the surface.

Seeing the blue sky after so long, his heart brimmed with pride. “Demon brethren, let’s go!”

In the next moment, Wu Di’s grin froze on his face.

The three Demon Kings who had just broken through were all unconscious, bound by golden chains in the humiliating shape of the character “大.” Nearby, a spectral figure gazed at him with delight.

It was Ye Yu, come to plague the demon clans!

“Hey, looks like we’ve got some heavy hitters! You said you’d attack together, right? Come on, lock them up!” Ye Yu laughed.

Wu Di’s eyes widened in horror.

One brave moment earned him a lifetime of timidity.

Ye Yu, however, was pleased. Since reaching the Ghost Realm, he’d set his sights on Demon Kings. Demon Emperors were off-limits for now, but Demon King–level city lords made perfect negative-emotion harvesters!

Lately, though, those kings had gone into hiding, making them hard to find. He’d planned to leave the demon realm today if he still came up empty-handed.

But fate smiled when he spotted three kings bursting through the barrier.

Perfect opportunity.

Ye Yu swiftly ensnared them with Thousand Dreams Illusion, then used the Demon Qi Binding Immortal Rope he’d acquired to tie them up—ideal for the job.

Before he could leave, a fourth figure emerged.

From three blessings to four—he was truly favored by fortune!

“Wait,” Ye Yu wondered as he flickered to the cave mouth. A Turtle Demon looked up at him.

Four blessings upgraded to five—double fortune!

Ye Yu’s lips curved upward again.

Three days later, at Senyao City, five bald Demon Kings dangled from the gate in the shape of a great character, a thousand Snapshot Stones piled below them. A wooden sign read, “Grand Circus: Five Demon King Performance!”

Ye Yu held a megaphone. “Passersby, don’t miss out! Free Snapshot Stones—giveaways! Inside, watch all sorts of Demon King acts—truly spectacular!”

At first, the demons were too afraid to approach. But when Ye Yu tossed the nearest demon a Snapshot Stone, they infused it with qi and peered inside, bursting into uncontrollable laughter.

They saw Lin Yin starting a fire by drilling into Bao Yaqing’s yellow fur—leaving only black spots. The centipede’s thirty hundred arms snapped off. Xiang Yao Zhi Ge’s trunk tied into a bow as he danced cutely.

The Turtle Demon Dan suffered worst of all—spun like a top by Ye Yu!

All set to cheesy background music, it was the ultimate humiliation for Demon Kings.

Soon the demons threw open their arms, snatching up every Snapshot Stone. That carnival netted Ye Yu over eight million negative emotion points—a true windfall!
