Chapter 113: Seven Billion

Tyler rushed to his city as fast as he could. On his way, he saw a lot of destruction. Many of the cities were being attacked by the fishmen.

Because of this, he couldn’t help but help some of them, especially in places where his strength could make a difference.

After making short work of those fishmen, he continued his journey back to the city. This journey took him much longer than he anticipated.

But he increased his speed after he checked his phone.

It turned out there were several missed calls from Elena.

This phone was quite interesting, and even the technology of this world was interesting.

For example, when the phone was put inside a completely different space, it was still able to receive the signal from the towers that were spread around the Red Hog Country.

But at the same time, the cellphone was only used to make calls and send messages.

There were no apps or games.

Of course, there was a camera app, but it could barely take a good picture. There wasn’t a music app or even a recorder.

Instead, they had a special recording talisman.

Considering they made this phone to withstand the attack that can destroy a small city, it should’ve been equipped with more functions.

But it wasn’t. The only option it gave was making calls and sending messages. They only made it hard to destroy to keep it safe during a battle.

"Hmm! Maybe I should buy the company making these phones. Not just phones, those computers as well."

"I never thought the computers were developed two thousand years ago in this world, but it hasn’t been improved."

"More importantly, they didn’t start with the vaccum tubes computer but rather developed the transistor processors."

"It’s almost..."

’Someone from Earth was reborn in this world two thousand years ago and developed the computer. Maybe he got bored or found another path and abandoned.’

’I need more data on those things. Only then will I be able to develop a better technology in this world.’

’It seems like I need to develop better connection with the Star Plasma Pavilion after reaching the Soul Sublimation Realm.’

He thought to himself as he rushed towards his city.

But upon getting closer, he noticed some burnt marks and blood marks on the front of the city.

Coastal City was located on the south side of the Red Hog Country. It was surrounded by large walls, and the main gate was facing the sea.

Since he was coming from the west side, he didn’t notice these at first. Only when he came to the front did he notice the bloodied corpses of the fishmen.

He knew Elena must’ve called him because of this incident.

He made his way to the main gate, where ten guards were standing.

"Looks like security has improved a lot."

Tyler muttered as he walked towards the door.

"Young Master!"

The guards immediately recognized him and bowed their heads together.

"Hmm!"

Tyler walked in front of them and patted one of them on the shoulder.

"Good job!"

The guard got flustered as he quickly shook his head.

"No, no, Young Master, this was all done by the Young Mistresses."

Tyler shook his head.

"Even so, I can still see you working hard after this invasion. That means you didn’t abandon this city."

"It’s our city, Young Master. We will never abandon it."

The guard made a serious face and said.

"I like what you said."

Tyler nodded and entered the city.

"Wow! Young Master was quite polite."

The guard couldn’t help sigh a breath of relief.

"Of course! But why wasn’t Young Master present during the battle?"

Another guard asked.

Seeing this, all nine guards punched him on the head.

"Don’t speak badly of our Young Master!"

With ten large bumps on his head, the guard grumbled.

"I wasn’t. I was just asking where he was."

"Wherever he was, it must’ve been important. Besides, Young Master just became a cultivator five months ago."

Another guard sneered.

Tyler was completely unaware of their conversation. By the time they started talking, Tyler had already reached the mansion.

As soon as he stepped into the mansion, he heard a loud argument.

"What do you mean you need a hundred million gold coins? How am I supposed to get so much money?"

"Oh, dear! Didn’t you act like the Mistress before? Can’t you even afford to take out a hundred million?"

"That’s a hundred million! What do you need so much money for?"

"Of course, it is to establish the Newspaper Department and Weapon Department. Don’t forget we can’t just rely on those three people to make those weapons."

"And, for the newspaper, we would need to buy a lot of printing machines, paper, and pay wages to workers."

"Of course, I can accept less money, but that would mean our company would take quite a few years to increase its influence internationally."

"You are asking for too much. We barely have eighty million gold coins left."

"Wait, wait!"

Suddenly, Tyler walked in, interjecting into their conversation as he asked.

"Why do we only have eighty million gold coins? What about those hundreds of millions of gold coins from this year’s profit?"

"You finally returned."

Elena rolled her eyes and explained.

"Didn’t we need to buy equipment for Sher King? We have been spending money like pouring water in the desert."

"Not to mention, I recently ordered a large number of ingredients to make Mana Condensation Pills."

"Wait a minute! Didn’t I just leave for a few days? Why do I feel like everything has changed?"

"Why are we buying ingredients? Although it will save us some money, we don’t have an alchemist."

"Actually, we do."

Louis’s voice came from behind.

When Tyler saw her, he remembered a conversation from a long time ago. At that time, Elena was busy with arrays, so he talked about their goals.

During that time, Louis mentioned his goal to become an alchemist while Lennie talked about being a researcher.

"Wow! I never thought you would be so talented in alchemy. Congratulations!"

Tyler showed a big smile as he slapped Louis on the shoulder. The grin on his face couldn’t stop widening.

After all, it was one thing to have a dream and another thing to accomplish it.

"Thank you, Young Master!"

Hearing his young master’s praise, Louis couldn’t help but feel shy.

Behind him, Lennie snorted.

"Humph! It’s only because of his technique."

"Okay, Lennie! What did I say about not resenting others for what they’ve achieved? Even if that person is your brother."

Garvin’s voice rang from the side.

"Sorry, Young Master! Lennie didn’t know what she should even research. She has been reading a lot but didn’t have any idea."

Hearing that, Tyler nodded.

"So, she is feeling lost."

’Wait a minute! If she is a researcher?’

Tyler’s eyes glowed, literally, as his pupils turned into stars while looking at Lennie.

"Umm! Young Master!"

Lennie couldn’t help but feel shy. She lowered her head as a red shade of blush appeared on her face.

"Ahem! I have something else for Lennie. Now that Louis is an alchemist, we must support him even more."

"But the lack of money is going to be a big problem for us. We need to solve that problem before doing anything else."

Tyler spoke with a serious expression, also thinking of a solution.

"Young Master, I’ve already solved that."

Garvin spoke from the sidelines, which made Tyler, Daisy, and Elena turn their heads simultaneously.

"Wait, why didn’t I know about this?"

Elena couldn’t help but frown as she asked.

"Young Mistress, you just started checking the ledgers. Four Months Ago, there was a great demand for the Yellowstone Ore."

"Because I felt something was wrong with such demands, I kept a lot of ore in a private warehouse, without letting anyone know about it."

Hearing that, Tyler’s eyes lit up.

"Good job, Garvin! You managed to keep those traitors in the dark."

Garvin shook his head.

"At that time, I didn’t imagine there would be so many traitors. I just wanted to keep that to make a bigger profit."

"Just as I predicted, when all of the Yellowstone Ore in the market was bought through several secret channels in just three months, the demand for Yellowstone Ore began growing."

"So, I waited for another month for the demand to go up. I wanted to keep going, but this would definitely alert the Main Family and the government."

"This kind of market manipulation has long been illegal. If they find I was hoarding so much ore, I would definitely get into serious trouble."

"So, I sold all of that ore and made a profit of seven billion gold coins. In fact, most of this profit came from large organizations."

Tyler’s eyes widened.

"Seven billion?"

"Wait, is that a Gross Profit or Net Profit?"

Garvin chuckled and answered.

"Net Profit!"

"How?"

Almost everyone in the mansion shouted simultaneously.
