Chapter 103: Destruction and Power
The merging process of two flames was incredibly easy.
Why?
Because of his superior control over his mana. The Harmony of Nine Phoenixes didn’t just give him high-quality mana.
It also made his control superior. After all, he was going through enlightenment for even a few seconds in every dual cultivation.
Superior added a different meaning than stronger because his upper limit of control was increased while also increasing the base limit.
A normal cultivator couldn’t control his mana until he reached the Treasured Body Realm. In that realm, one would generally start learning to control their mana.
Upon reaching the Soul Sublimation Realm, that kind of control would increase exponentially thanks to the awakening of their spiritual sense.
Spiritual Sense was a sixth sense that allowed cultivators to see beyond others’ cultivation and communicate through thought.
It also gave them the ability to use artifacts and hone their control to a higher level. That’s why the output of a technique in these two realms was completely different.
That same thing would change drastically upon reaching the Inner World Formation Realm.
At this realm, a cultivator would create an inner world using the mana and Mana Space. This Inner World had one major advantage.
It was made out of true essence. That was the cumulation of soul energy, blood energy, and mana.
When all three energies were combined, they would produce true essence, which would later be used to condense a planet, which was known as the Inner World.
True Essence had one big difference compared to normal mana while still being the same as normal mana.
It was mana but on a high level. It was called True Mana.
Because it was produced out of the planet that was made from True Essence.
This allowed cultivator to recover their mana in the middle of a battle without absorbing spirit energy.
This was a huge advantage considering true essence required a cultivator to focus and merge three different types of energies into one.
This couldn’t be done without forming the Inner World. That’s why forming an Inner World was more necessary than just combining three energies.
Of course, that was beside the point.
There was another thing about true mana that most people had a problem with. Since they had just formed this new mana, they couldn’t control it.
This stemmed from the fact that a cultivator’s blood energy, mana, and soul energy all required different types of control.
So, imagine having to merge three different kinds of energies, which made them more destructive, and having to control them.
That was an impossible task.
Unless someone had Superior Control.
While increasing the upper limit of the control, it also raised one’s control’s lower limit.
In this case, if others’ control started from zero, his started from nine or ten.
This meant even at Inner World Formation Realm, he wouldn’t have to worry about losing control.
Of course, he hadn’t reached that realm. He was still at the Treasured Body Realm, and that’s where having an increased upper limit truly shone.
A person could only master a certain level of control through regular practice.
If that person wanted to increase that level, the time consumed in that practice would also increase alongside the efforts.
But by increasing his upper limit, he had basically allowed himself to achieve the level of control that one would take a year to achieve in just a week.
This happened because if someone’s control was three, it would take them five years to reach eight and five more years to reach ten, which was the highest level.
Then, in his case, if that highest level were to increase to twenty, he would be able to achieve control of eight in two and a half years.
Because the difficulty of the control increases with its level. A normal person would take one year to achieve control of one level.
That difficulty changes drastically when one approaches the upper limit. In that case, since his upper limit had risen, he would be able to achieve success much faster.
Why would this happen?
Because to raise the upper limit, newfound methods of control were utilized. He didn’t know these methods, but they directly decreased the difficulty.
It was the same as learning to use maths in the head and in the calculator.
Both could give the right answer, but using math in the head would be much more difficult.
Even though the calculator was also doing the same math.
Not only was it very easy to merge two different flames, but it also didn’t take that long.
In just a few seconds, a purple flame descended into his hand. It was horrifyingly hot.
Tyler could feel the heat penetrating his skin. He had to use a mana coating around his body just to keep himself safe from burning.
He realized that using this move would not only kill those cultivators but also destroy this entire place.
That was his goal.
He shaped the flame into the shape of a lotus, in honor of those memories of his past life.

He roared, tossing the flame lotus towards the rubble on the ground. At this moment, several of the cultivators felt the horror of his action.
Surprisingly, they worked together. Without much hesitation, all of them transferred their mana into one person.
When they felt him merging two flames, they knew they wouldn’t be able to escape this attack.
So, they decided to simply give up in order to get a chance at killing him.
This was their method.
Transferring all of their mana into one priest, using a secret technique.
But that wasn’t just mana. It was also their blood energy and soul energy.
That’s right! For a short moment, they wanted to raise a priest’s strength without raising his cultivation.
The shortcut was the True Essence.

The priest roared, his true essence surging out like the water from a dam.
It turned into literal water, rising above his head and forming a barrier around him and the other priests.
They weren’t dead. They had just turned into useless cultivators. Of course, they could still recover, but they didn’t have any strength to fight back.
And that was a mistake.

The fire lotus struck the water dome, releasing an explosion of a magnitude that completely shook the twenty kilometers of range around the city.
The intense heat began to boil the dome while burning everything from people to rubble.
That temperature turned everything into ash except for the priest who had obtained the true essence.
Even the other priests he tried to save using the water dome were steamed to death.
The temperature was so high that it affected even the atmosphere inside the dome, boiling the water to the point where the ground was steaming.
And since they were just ordinary people at that moment, their bodies were cooked.

Tyler also landed on the ground that turned into ash.
’Hot! Hot! So, this is the result of Fire Lotus. I reckon its temperature reached the surface of the sun.’
’But since it didn’t have that much power...’
He looked into the distance where the greenery still existed.
Even though it literally created that much heat, it couldn’t destroy the surroundings.
That’s because the flames only reached twenty kilometers.
’With this kind of power, if I use it again, I might be able to fight this guy on equal ground.’
He shook his head as he felt the mana reserve in his Mana Space.
’Half of my mana was gone. Even with my ridiculous mana reserve, it still consumed so much.’
’I can’t rely on that, but without that, I am not his opponent. He has reached the point where he can access True Mana.’
Although he didn’t know much about True Mana, he knew Grandmasters were forbidden to use any attacks in the country because of its potential destructive.
Now, he was going to face that level of power without even reaching the Soul Sublimation Realm.
’And here I thought I would only be facing weaker opponents.’
Tyler chuckled as he watched the priest stare at him with burning red eyes.
Without saying a single word, the priest raised his index finger and shot out a water bullet.
It was so fast that even with Tyler’s dynamic vision, he didn’t see that coming.
Splash!
His instincts barely saved him as he moved to the side just in time for that water bullet to hit his arm.
’Tsk! If he had this kind of power from the beginning, I wouldn’t even be able to make the Fire Lotus.’
’But...’
Just as he was thinking, another water bullet rushed towards him. This time, this guy sent two more.
Three water bullets were coming towards him to strike him in three different positions.

Tyler’s instinct forced him to make a decision before the water bullet could hit him as he raised a massive wall of red flame.
