An encounter battle thus unfolded within Charon Forest.

The Skaven Disaster Lord might be the most terrifying existence among all Skaven Ratmen, usually only recruited by a Grey Prophet through some ancient Secret Technique. No one knows what that Secret Technique is; what is known is that unless in absolutely desperate circumstances, no Grey Prophet will summon a Lord of Calamity.

Angerong fixed his gaze on the Lord of Calamity before him. His steps were blindingly fast; within a single breath, the World-Devourer Primarch had already closed in on the Lord of Calamity, the War Axes in his hands blazing with red fire as he strode toward it.

The Lord of Calamity let out a deafening roar. A ghostly green light rippled along its razor claws, and its reverse-jointed massive hooves churned the forest floor into mud. "The will of the Great Horned Rat!!!"

Angerong raised the War Axe in his hand high and brought it crashing down.

"Bang~" The Lord of Calamity screamed as it was smashed flying. This most fearsome of Skaven Ratmen had a huge, bone-deep wound hacked open across its body by Angerong.

The next second, a blood-red War Axe tore through the air and cleaved straight into the Lord of Calamity's face, blood spraying.

"Taste this!" Angerong pulled from his chest a Dwarf-made four-shot Revolver Fire Cannon and fired four times in a row at the Lord of Calamity. At such close range, the Lord of Calamity's face was blasted into a bloody ruin; one massive horn on its head snapped clean in half, its left eye was burst by a bullet, spraying a stream of blood.

"Hey~ where'd this little mouse come from, how can you be this weak?" Stowing the Fire Cannon, Angerong savored the power returning to his body. He stretched out a hand, and War Axe Ripper flew back into his grip. In a blink he appeared before the Lord of Calamity, ready to deliver the killing blow.

"Wuaaaaah!" Green light erupted from the Lord of Calamity's body. It let out a crazed scream and rolled away in a flash. Angerong's War Axe carved a several-meter-long trench into the forest floor. Seeing he had missed, Angerong immediately spun around and hurled the War Axe in his hand with brutal force. Before the Lord of Calamity could even regain its footing, it suffered another grievous hit; the axe sank deep into its chest, and the Great Skaven Demon staggered back several steps, trying to open some distance from Angerong.

Angerong gave it not the slightest chance to escape; the World-Devourer Primarch closed in relentlessly.

"Aaahhhh! Breakbreak!" The Lord of Calamity was driven to near-madness with rage. Its figure blurred into a streak of light and flashed to Angerong's front.

"That all you've got?" Angerong caught the blow on his War Axe, then countered in the same motion, easily batting aside the Lord of Calamity's attack. The Great Demon was knocked stumbling, and Angerong seized the opening at once. He clamped a hand around one of the Lord of Calamity's arms, and War Axe Carver descended with unstoppable force: "Die!"

Blood rained in sheets. The Lord of Calamity's entire left arm was chopped off at the root by Angerong. The Great Demon had nothing left but a horrible wail as a torrent of red blood gushed from its wound.

Just how overwhelmingly powerful was this human before it?

"Hey, where's that Mouse God of yours? Hurry up and drag it out here. You're way too weak, not nearly fun enough to fight." Angerong kept mocking the Lord of Calamity.

"Uraaagh!" The Lord of Calamity lashed out viciously with its right arm, trying to strike Angerong, but Angerong simply caught the punch in his bare hand. The World-Devourer Primarch grinned savagely as he snapped its right arm directly, then stamped one boot down on the Lord of Calamity's tail, bones cracking with a series of harsh snaps. After that, he gripped Ripper with both hands, turned, and gathered his strength.

The War Axe trembled faintly under Angerong's colossal power.

A visible whirlwind wrapped around Angerong's body; frost and snow, leaves, and that winter wind all swirled with it. The blood-hued, blossoming might swallowed the entire forest. All things fell silent, all living spirits bowed.

"Witness the power of the World-Devourer! For Nukeria!!" Angerong's twisted expression was filled with savage delight. All the strength in his body surged together inside him; his muscles, hard as forged steel, crackled and popped, his teeth clenched tight, spittle leaking between them, his knuckles whitening under the force his own body exerted.

His aura rose to its peak; a world-devouring power came rolling in, like the endless glory and strength of ten thousand years past. Angerong was proclaiming his return!

"Cleave!!!"

"Swoosh~" 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

The blood-red arc traced by the axe blade engulfed the entire Lord of Calamity. From right shoulder to right waist to right leg, the Lord of Calamity was split clean in two on the spot; it didn't even have time to scream before it was wretchedly banished.

"Return!" Angerong decided the battle was over. He held out a hand and called back his other War Axe. Carver, which he had hurled far away, flew into his grip. The World-Devourer Primarch let out a long breath and shouted in delight, "That felt damn good. Shame this rat demon still couldn't take a beating. If only a Great Unclean One showed up instead… hmm?"

He felt some will descending.

Cunning, deceit, vengeance, spreading plague, vileness, betrayal, extremity of evil—this dreadful will descended before Angerong. Green phantoms wrapped around his figure. Amid endless pestilence and malice, a gigantic rat's head appeared before Angerong. Any mortal who so much as glanced at this vision would never again be able to tear their eyes away.

This giant rat's head bore two pairs of horns, one pair of goat horns, one pair of ram horns. Green flames spewed from its hollow eyes. "Mortal, the world shall ultimately be destroyed. The Mouse God shall descend…"
