Chapter 518: Chapter 518 – Second Tournament – Finals – Part 23.
"You got to be fucking kidding me right now?" – said Powin as all the players stopped in their tracks and watched as Phantasia in his monster form made his appearance, looking down upon the players from the hole in the celling.
(WHY THE FUCK IS HE HERE?!) – thought everybody all at once.
(This isn’t good... Like not good at all!) – thought Claw.
(We are already struggling with these two fuckers, but now this monster also joined the fight!?)
(Not only that, he took down Leonardo that fast?!)
(He maybe full mage, but he can even survive few hits from me! All thanks to his bullshit class that he has!)
(And he should had been at the full HP too! How did he died so fast?!) – thought Claw as he instantly was getting overwhelmed with fear, realizing that the new biggest danger in the room was no longer either Powin or Apple, but instead now Phantasia.
And it wasn’t just Claw that realized this truth.
All the players in that room realized that the moment Phantasia appeared, the situation turned to the worst possible scenario.
Everybody wanted right now no matter what avoiding Phantasia until he is the last one.
Why?
Because of his "annoyance".
Plague.
Curses.
Poisons.
Monsters.
And what not.
What if somebody were to fight him now, but then a third party would show up and attack the two players?
Then correct course of action would be just avoid Phantasia and fight as the last foe, in order to minimize the danger.
To give his "full attention".
This would had been the best way to fight this monster.
However now?
There were 4 different sides in the room.
The alliance.
Apple.
Powin.
And Phantasia.
Each side hostile to each other.
"..."
(Yeb... I can’t win this right now.) – thought Powin as she looked at her HP bar as well as one of her skill bars.
(I could had killed that bastard if I was at full HP and still had some of my ultimates at hand, but now? Nah. There is no way I can win against this fucker.)
(...And there are also these fuckers.) – thought Powin as she looked at the remaining players, who were not even looking in her direction.
(These trashes aren’t the problem... They can’t kill me, but there is good chance that they may end up lagging me in the worst possible moment.)
(The main problem is that guy with chains.)
(Especially that weird glowing chain wrapped around his arm.)
(Getting hit with it now of all the times would be beyond dangerous.)
(The best case scenario would be to have these bastards fight Phantasia, while I go away and hide until I can recover enough to take down this fucker.)
(However, how do I do it?)
The escape was the best course of action.
And it wasn’t just Powin who thought about it.
Run away and recover, before then fighting Phantasia.
This was the best plan.
However, there was few problems.
The "OTHERS" will need to keep the monster occupied.
And these players were in no mood to create one big alliance.
However, Phantasia wasn’t obviously kind enough for them to even "talk things out".
As the monster player began pouring in his plague mist right into temple through the hole in the celling.
"!"
"FUCK!" – shouted Apple as he used his chains to quickly get away from the opening, as the other players also started running away.
(Plague?! For fuck’s sake!) – thought Apple as Phantasia monsters started appearing as well and started dropping down.
(Should I fight Phantasia? FUCK NO!)
(Not yet at least!) – thought Apple as he looked in direction of Powin, who at the very same time was looking at the chain user’s direction.
(Do I kill him/her?! Or do I run?!) – thought both players as they were unsure what to do now.
However, before they were given a moment, Phantasia’s monsters started attacking them, forcing the two players to defend themselves.
And it wasn’t just them either, the trio of the remaining master rankers were also locket in the combat, while the plague mist was slowly flooding the room.
"PISS OFF YA MOBS!" – shouted Claw as he swung his great sword, knocking back the undead army of flesh abominations... Only to then get attacked by the cannon wielding chimera, blasting the beastman away as he barely blocked the attack with his blade.
(Fuck! The regular undeads have shitty large numbers, but the special monsters are the main problem here!) – thought Claw.
(I’ve heard about that monster and what he can do, but still! This is crazy!) – thought Claw as the serpent insects bashed into him with his body, pushing back the lion player monster.
(...)
(We can’t fight him.)
(Not here at least!)
(The entire room is starting to get slowly devoured with plague, and before long we won’t have any more room to dodge it!)
"GUYS! PLAN D!" – shouted Claw... Who in the next moment saw the chunks of the celling falling down around him, alarming the monster player who in fear looked up.
And in the very next moment, the lion player was crushed beneath the giant fist.
Phantasia wasn’t just standing idly while his plague was enveloping the room and his monster were flooding it, no.
Phantasia was breaking apart the celling.
And the moment it made a big enough hole for Phantasia to reach into the temple? He instantly unleashed his grasp.
The lion player was smashed over and over beneath the massive fist as the players watched.
Obviously Claw resisted, he tried unleashing every single skill he had.... But it was not working one bit.
He could not resist Phantasia one bit.
Berserker type classes are about being untastable beast, a monster that will only go down when you kill them.
A beast that will never be bound.
But Claw?
He was just getting beaten down without even getting any chance to resist or escape.
The berserker was just turned into nothing more than a punching bag for Phantasia.
Over and over again, the fist came down, crushing and smashing the lion alongside the area around, which straight up just shook the entire temple grounds with each non-stop strike.
But obviously, the two remaining players of the alliance didn’t just stood idly by.
They unleashed their attacks, firing off their ultimate combinations at once, aiming to give the berserk a chance to run away.
...
However.
Even their strongest attack combos were not enough to bother Phantasia.
...
But they gotten their attention.
"!"
(SHIT!) – thought Apple as he quickly went low, dodging the incoming attacks that went in the direction of the two players, who got blasted with both necromancy and poison magic at once, which ended up sending the duo of players across the entire room.
"!"
In that single moment of distraction, Claw tried running away in desperation... But before he could think about using a skill, he was again caught by Phantasia... And then just "squished".
[Player has been eliminated.]
"..."
(Fuck.) – thought both Powin and Apple who at the same time sent flying the monsters that were assaulting them, before then making a run for it.
Run.
Survive.
Recover.
Then fight.
This was the train of thoughts that both players were experiencing.
They both knew that right now they don’t stand a chance against Phantasia.
It was risky for sure, to run away now of all the times.
However, they had a chance.
The temple grounds were extremely hard to destroy, even for Phantasia it took sometime until he was able to make hole large enough for only his fist to come in.
The temple zone is the worst possible zone for Phantasia as of right now.
However, why don’t he just turn into his smaller humanoid form?
The answer was simple.
He wanted to DESTORY his foes.
He didn’t wanted to win; he wanted to obtain overwhelming victory.
A cruel victory.
But he was also smart.
Phantasia wasn’t aware yet that Powin was too damaged it.
In his eyes, if he were to transform now into a humanoid form, it could give the woman an extremely powerful opening to exploit.
In his eyes, becoming "human" was the most risks and stupidest decision there is right now.
...
But if Phantasia were to learn that Powin is exhausted.
He would without hesitation transform into a "human".
And murder the exhausted player as soon as possible.
...
In other words, it was race against time.
Can they get out of the room as soon as possible before Phantasia breaks apart the damaged roof and goes full power on them?
However, there was a slight problem.
"?!"
(MOTHERFUCKER!) – both Apple and Powin were heading towards the same exist.
"?"
(Why are they running away?) – and at the same time, Phantasia noticed the duo who were trying to sneak away.
(The chain user I get it, he maybe bit of a coward and schemer.)
(But Powin?)
"..."
"!"
In that instance, Phantasia quickly realized that Powin was doing something.
That there may be a "PROBLEM" with her.
And so, without hesitation, Phantasia retracted his massive arm out of the hole, which somewhat alarmed all the players inside... Before in the very next moment, the two dragon heads went inside and aimed straight at the two players.
(Oh.... That ain’t good.) – thought both Apple and Powin as they saw Phantasia’s dragon heads charging up their attacks.
