Chapter 363: Chapter 362- Humiliation (2)

The moment the middle-aged man uttered those words, the corners of the young woman’s lips slowly curled into a cold, disdainful smile.

"Very well."

The instant those two words left her mouth, an incomparably brilliant radiance erupted from her body, illuminating the surrounding sky. Waves of terrifying spiritual pressure spread outward in every direction like an invisible tsunami, causing the air itself to tremble violently.

Without the slightest hesitation, she unleashed her Four Balls of Spirit Fire.

Four blazing spheres of dazzling spiritual flames immediately appeared around her body, revolving gracefully like celestial stars orbiting their sun. Their divine radiance bathed the heavens in brilliant light, causing countless disciples and elders below to instinctively shield their eyes.

The moment the young woman revealed her cultivation base, the middle-aged man’s expression changed drastically.

Shock flashed across his face before he quickly suppressed it.

As an experienced cultivator who had lived for many centuries and fought through countless life-and-death battles, he managed to conceal the fear surging within his heart. Without wasting another moment, he immediately activated his own Special Brilliance Form.

Boom!

Two brilliant Balls of Spirit Fire instantly materialized behind him before revolving around his body at astonishing speed. Their dazzling light erupted outward, causing his entire figure to shine like a miniature sun suspended in the heavens.

However, when compared to the young woman’s overwhelming brilliance, his radiance was no different from a flickering candle standing before a blazing inferno.

The difference between the two was simply too great.

The young woman made her move.

Her figure blurred before vanishing from her original position altogether, leaving behind several lifelike afterimages that lingered in the air.

Her speed had reached such a terrifying level that even after activating his Special Brilliance Form, the middle-aged man could barely perceive her movements.

His pupils suddenly contracted.

Before he could even react, she had already appeared directly in front of him.

Bang!

A deafening explosion echoed throughout the battlefield.

The battle ended almost as quickly as it had begun.

The young woman casually threw a single punch toward the middle-aged man’s chest.

There were no complicated techniques or profound martial arts.

It was simply a straightforward punch backed by overwhelming cultivation.

Yet that single strike possessed terrifying destructive power.

A sickening cracking sound echoed through the air as the middle-aged man’s chest visibly caved inward. Several ribs shattered instantly while blood violently erupted from all seven of his facial orifices.

His complexion turned deathly pale, and the light within his eyes faded almost immediately.

Before he could even let out a scream, he was knocked unconscious by that single punch.

His body shot backward like a cannonball, soaring hundreds of meters through the sky before crashing heavily into the ground with an earth-shaking thud.

Boom!

The tremendous impact caused the earth to crack apart as dust and shattered rocks flew in every direction.

Everyone watching the battle stood frozen in place.

Silence enveloped the entire battlefield.

His Special Brilliance Form had been forcibly interrupted by the overwhelming force of the attack.

The two Balls of Spirit Fire revolving around his body flickered violently before rapidly dimming, eventually extinguishing completely.

A single punch.

That was all it had taken to utterly defeat a cultivator who had unleashed his Special Brilliance Form. The overwhelming disparity in strength left every spectator speechless.

After ending the battle with a single attack, the young woman merely let out a disdainful snort before turning around and flying away as though nothing of significance had just occurred.

To her, defeating such an opponent was hardly worth mentioning.

The violent commotion caused by the battle had naturally alerted the authorities of Sky Mist City. Numerous guards and law enforcement cultivators immediately rushed toward the scene at top speed, fearing that a large-scale conflict had erupted.

Unfortunately for them, they had arrived too late.

By the time they reached the battlefield, the battle had already concluded, and the mysterious young woman had long since disappeared beyond the horizon.

The only thing that remained was the battered figure of the middle-aged man lying motionless inside a massive crater.

His body had become twisted beyond recognition. His robes were stained crimson with blood, and his breathing was so faint that it was almost imperceptible. Every breath he took seemed to require tremendous effort, making it obvious that he had suffered devastating internal injuries.

Although the young woman had effortlessly defeated him with a single casual punch, she had deliberately held back at the final moment instead of killing him outright.

After all, this had merely been a challenge between cultivators rather than a life-and-death duel.

Furthermore, she understood that if she had killed the middle-aged man so casually, the remaining experts would likely refuse every subsequent challenge out of fear for their lives.

That was not the outcome she wanted.

What she sought was not slaughter, but domination.

She wanted everyone to witness the overwhelming superiority of the Sect Alliance.

Meanwhile, similar scenes unfolded throughout Sky Mist City.

The disciples aboard the seventeen colossal fleets continuously issued challenge after challenge to the cultivators of the Sky Mist Sect.

Their targets were exclusively those within the Foundation Establishment Realm.

Anyone who accepted the challenge would inevitably suffer a crushing defeat.

As for those who refused, they were relentlessly provoked, mocked, and harassed.

The disciples of the Sect Alliance would follow them through the streets, publicly ridicule them, and repeatedly challenge them before large crowds until the Sky Mist disciples could no longer endure the humiliation.

Eventually, many were forced to fight simply to preserve their dignity.

This arrogant and overbearing method of issuing challenges quickly ignited the anger of countless disciples throughout Sky Mist City.

The atmosphere within the city became increasingly tense with each passing day.

Finally, an official disciple from the Fourth Sequence could no longer tolerate their behavior.

He accepted a challenge issued by one of the Sect Alliance’s geniuses.

Standing opposite him was an exceptionally handsome young man with sky-blue hair that fluttered gently in the wind. His matching blue eyes resembled clear crystals, carrying an elegant and noble aura that naturally drew the attention of everyone around him.

His every movement was refined, and a gentle smile remained on his face from beginning to end.

At first glance, he appeared to be nothing more than an extraordinarily handsome human youth.

However, appearances could be deceiving.

He belonged to one of the numerous non-human races that inhabited the continent, the Frost Angels.

Apart from their striking sky-blue hair and eyes, members of the Frost Angel race were nearly indistinguishable from ordinary humans. Yet beneath their elegant appearance lay terrifying strength and an innate affinity for frost-element spiritual energy.

At that moment, the Frost Angel youth casually played with a small magic ship suspended above his palm.

The miniature vessel continuously spun around his fingers as though it were nothing more than a child’s toy.

The disciple from the Fourth Sequence immediately recognized it.

That ship belonged to him.

His face instantly darkened.

"Dammit!"

"Put my magic ship down this instant!"

"You have no right to touch someone else’s property!"

His furious voice echoed across the harbor, attracting the attention of numerous spectators.

However, the Frost Angel youth simply smiled more brightly.

His expression remained calm and gentle, making it seem as though he genuinely could not understand why the other party was angry.

"What are you talking about?"

"This isn’t your magic ship."

He lightly tossed the miniature vessel into the air before catching it again.

"It was docked in our Frost Angel harbor."

He paused briefly before continuing in a leisurely tone.

"Anything left within our harbor naturally belongs to us."

The words were spoken so casually that they nearly caused the Fourth Sequence disciple to cough up blood from anger.

His fists clenched so tightly that veins bulged across the back of his hands.

The spectators also wore expressions of disbelief.

Everyone knew exactly what had happened.

After the arrival of the seventeen great sects and races, their enormous magic vessels had occupied nearly every major harbor throughout Sky Mist City.

Each of those floating fortresses required an enormous amount of space merely to anchor safely.

As a result, the ordinary ports that had previously been available to the city’s cultivators were suddenly taken over.

The countless cultivators who normally docked their flying boats and magic ships there had been forced to relocate elsewhere.

Unfortunately, every harbor possessed a limited capacity.

Before long, the remaining ports also became overcrowded.

Many cultivators found themselves unable to find a proper docking location and were forced to anchor their magic ships in temporary locations around the outskirts of the city.

The Sect Alliance disciples had taken advantage of this chaotic situation to deliberately stir up trouble.

Whenever they discovered an unattended magic ship near one of their occupied harbors, they would shamelessly claim that it had become the property of their sect.

It was an absurd excuse.

Yet it served its intended purpose perfectly.

Their true objective had never been the magic ships themselves.

Rather, they sought to provoke the disciples of the Sky Mist Sect into accepting battles, allowing the Sect Alliance to publicly demonstrate its overwhelming superiority before the entire city once again.

This was first class provocation!

The Frost Angel clan member then smiled softly and said. "Of course, if you accept my challenge and put up a good fight, then I’ll consider lending it back to you out of the sincerity of my heart."

"But please know that my generosity is only for a short period of time."

He said with a smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes.
