Chapter 93: Rich Young Master Mode Activated
Damian soon arrived at one of the pill shops in the sect market.
The shopkeeper was an older man with sharp eyes, but the moment Damian placed several jade bottles on the counter, those sharp eyes instantly became much warmer.
"Top-Rank Profound Grade pills?" the shopkeeper asked, surprised.
Damian smiled casually. "Blood Qi Recovery Pills and Spirit Gathering Pills."
The shopkeeper carefully opened one bottle and inspected the pill inside. A moment later, his expression became serious. "Good quality. Very good quality."
Damian leaned against the counter. "Of course. I don’t sell trash."
The shopkeeper glanced at him but did not argue.
These two types of pills were always in demand. Blood Qi Recovery Pills were needed by disciples who fought, trained, or accepted missions. Spirit Gathering Pills were even more popular because every cultivator needed cultivation resources.
The prices were stable, and selling them was easy.
After all, Damian had quite a lot of these pills from the returns he gained after gifting those courtesans before.
To him, these pills were useful, but not rare enough to hoard too tightly.
To ordinary disciples, however, they were precious resources.
After some bargaining, Damian sold a decent batch and received a heavy pouch of spirit stones.
The weight alone made his mood improve.
He stored the spirit stones away and grinned. "Good. Now I look more like a proper rich young master."
The shopkeeper smiled. "Young Master, are you preparing for the auction?"
Damian’s eyes moved. "You know about it?"
The shopkeeper nodded. "Of course. The auction is about to begin soon. Many disciples and elders have already gone there."
Damian rubbed his chin. "What kind of items are being sold?"
"I heard there are weapons, pills, rare herbs, talismans, beast materials, and even a few strange items from outside the sect."
Damian’s grin widened.
Strange items.
That was exactly the kind of thing he liked.
"Good. Point me there."
The shopkeeper quickly explained the direction.
Damian nodded and turned to leave. "Thanks."
A short while later, Damian arrived near the auction hall.
The place was crowded with disciples, deacons, and a few elders. The building itself was tall and elegant, with red banners hanging from the entrance.
Damian looked at it and smiled. "Let’s see if I can find some treasures to gift later."
But just as he was about to enter, a familiar voice sounded from the side.
"Damian?"
Damian turned his head.
Raika and Akane were walking over together.
Raika’s yellow hair was tied neatly, and her bright eyes looked calm as usual. Akane, beside her, smiled warmly and waved.
Damian blinked. "Oh? You two are here too?"
Akane smiled. "Of course. Auctions are fun."
Raika glanced at him. "What are you doing here?"
Damian spread his hands. "Buying treasure. Maybe losing money. Maybe getting lucky."
Akane laughed lightly. "That sounds like you."
Raika looked toward the auction hall. "Do you have a room?"
Damian paused. "A room?"
Akane smiled. "Private auction room. Better view, less noise, and easier bidding."
Damian’s eyes brightened.
Raika said calmly, "We have one. Want to join us?"
Damian’s grin slowly widened. "With two beautiful ladies inviting me? How could I refuse?"
Raika’s eyebrow twitched.
Akane covered her mouth and laughed.
Damian walked beside them happily.
"Good. Auction, treasures, and two treasure chests beside me. Today is already looking profitable."
---
Inside the private auction room, Damian sat down comfortably and looked around with interest.
The room was not too large, but it was elegant. There was a low table in the middle, soft chairs, a clear viewing window facing the auction stage, and even a small formation that blocked outside noise.
Damian nodded with satisfaction. "Not bad. This place is much better than squeezing down there with everyone else."
Akane sat across from him and smiled. "Of course. Raika booked this room early."
Raika calmly poured herself a cup of tea. "Auctions are too noisy outside."
Damian glanced at her and grinned. "As expected of a rich young lady."
Raika looked at him. "You are not poor either."
Akane’s eyes brightened slightly. "Right. Damian, how many spirit stones do you have now?"
Damian blinked. "My spirit stones?"
Akane nodded with curiosity. "You said you sold pills before coming here, right?"
Raika also looked at him.
Damian leaned back and tapped his storage ring. "Let me count."
A moment later, his expression became a little satisfied.
He had sold a large batch of Top-Rank Profound Grade pills.
All of them were Blood Qi Recovery Pills and Spirit Gathering Pills. Because those pills were useful to Foundation Establishment cultivators and always in demand, the prices stayed stable.
Even after selling them in bulk, the shopkeeper had still paid a generous amount.
Damian slowly smiled. "After changing most of it into Mid-Rank Spirit Stones, I have around six hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones."
The room became silent.
Akane blinked. "Six hundred?"
Raika’s hand paused slightly while holding her teacup.
Damian looked at them and raised an eyebrow. "What? Is that too little for the auction?"
Akane immediately shook her head. "No, no. That’s quite a lot."
Raika looked at him carefully. "For an inner disciple auction, six hundred Mid-Rank Spirit Stones is enough to buy many things."
Damian’s grin widened. "Good."
Akane rested her chin on her palm and smiled teasingly. "You really are richer than you look."
Damian placed one hand over his chest. "That hurts. I clearly look like a wealthy, handsome, reliable young master."
Raika said calmly, "You look suspicious."
Damian’s mouth twitched. "Why does everyone keep saying that?"
Akane laughed softly.
Damian waved his hand casually and leaned closer with a shameless grin. "Anyway, don’t worry about money."
Raika narrowed her eyes slightly. "What do you mean?"
Damian looked at both of them and smiled. "Just tell me which one you want."
Akane froze for a moment.
Raika’s eyes also shifted slightly.
Damian continued, "If something useful appears for you two, I’ll bid for it."
Akane blinked. "You are serious?"
Damian shrugged. "Of course."
Raika stared at him silently. "Why?"
Damian smiled like it was obvious. "Because investing in beautiful geniuses is always profitable."
Akane laughed again.
Raika looked away, but the corner of her lips moved faintly. "Shameless."
Damian grinned. "Accurate, but generous."
