Chapter 91: Disciples Show Zero Sympathy

Selvara looked at Damian for a moment before changing the topic. "Go meet your two disciples. They have already heard about your situation."

Damian blinked. "My situation?"

Selvara glanced at his torn robe, messy hair, and the faint bloodstains still on his sleeve.

Damian followed her gaze and immediately understood.

His mouth twitched. "Master, are you sure you didn’t train me too hard on purpose just so they could misunderstand later?"

Selvara’s expression did not change. "You think too much."

Damian stared at her silently.

For some reason, he really did not believe that.

However, arguing with Selvara was clearly useless, so Damian could only sigh and nod. "Fine. I’ll go see them."

Selvara nodded faintly. "Good. Also, tell them to focus on reaching Foundation Establishment first. Only after that will they be allowed to leave this mountain."

Damian cupped his hands. "Understood, Master."

After saying that, Damian turned around and left the courtyard.

As he walked down the stone path toward the side residence where Violetta and Vulkara stayed, Damian lowered his head and looked at his own clothes again.

His robe was torn in several places, his sleeves were scratched, and there were still dried bloodstains around his collar.

He sighed. "Damn it. I really look like I just crawled out of a battlefield."

Then he paused. "Actually, no. I look like I crawled out of Master’s training."

For some reason, that sounded even worse.

A short while later, Damian arrived in front of the side courtyard, and before he could knock, the door opened.

Violetta and Vulkara were already standing there.

The moment they saw Damian’s current appearance, both of their expressions changed.

Vulkara’s eyes widened first. "Master, what happened to you?"

Violetta’s expression also became worried. "Master, are you injured?"

Damian waved his hand casually. "Relax. I’m fine."

Vulkara gritted her teeth. "Was it because of that bastard Golden Core cultivator?"

Violetta’s usually calm eyes also became colder. "Did he injure you this badly?"

Damian froze for a moment and slowly shook his head. "No."

The two of them paused.

Damian pointed at his torn robe with a dead expression. "This was from Master’s training."

For a moment, both Violetta and Vulkara became silent.

Then both of them nodded at the same time. "Oh."

Damian stared at them.

That was it?

His eyebrow twitched slightly. "Wait. Why do you two sound like that makes perfect sense?"

Vulkara crossed her arms. "Because it does."

Violetta smiled gently. "As long as Master is fine, then it is good."

Damian felt like his heart had been stabbed.

"You two..." He placed one hand over his chest. "At least pretend to feel sorry for me."

Vulkara looked away. "Master, if Elder Selvara trained you, that means she did not want to kill you."

Damian’s mouth twitched. "That’s your standard?"

Violetta softly added, "Also, if Elder Selvara truly wanted to kill Master, you probably would not be standing here right now."

Damian stared at her.

For some reason, that calm and gentle answer hurt even more.

He sighed deeply. "Fine. Forget it. I came here to check on you two, not to have my heart attacked."

Only then did Damian look more carefully at them.

The aura around Violetta and Vulkara had become much stronger than before.

Their Qi was steady, full, and close to overflowing.

Damian’s eyes narrowed slightly before he suddenly raised his brows. "Wait. Both of you have already reached the Ninth Stage Qi Refinement Realm?"

Violetta nodded gently. "Yes, Master."

Vulkara grinned and lifted her chin. "Of course. Did you think we were just sitting around doing nothing?"

Damian looked at the two of them with surprise.

Although he had given them good cultivation arts and spiritual root pills, their speed was still faster than he expected.

"The Qi here is very dense," Violetta explained softly. "Elder Selvara’s mountain peak is quiet, and the spiritual energy is much purer than outside."

Vulkara nodded. "And the cultivation arts you gave us are amazing. My [Flame Absorption Art] feels like it was made perfectly for me."

Violetta also smiled faintly. "My [Nine Song Foundation Cultivation Art] is the same. Every time I cultivate, it feels as if the Qi is following a rhythm."

Damian rubbed his chin and nodded with satisfaction. "Good. Very good."

Then he looked at them seriously. "But listen carefully. Master already said that before you two reach Foundation Establishment, you are not allowed to leave this mountain peak."

Vulkara clicked her tongue. "I know."

Violetta nodded. "We understand, Master."

Damian continued, "After you reach Foundation Establishment and can finally move around the sect properly, what do you two want to do?"

Violetta blinked. "What we want to do?"

Damian nodded. "Yes. Cultivation is important, but you can’t just sit in a room forever. You need your own direction too."

Violetta lowered her gaze slightly and thought for a moment. "I think I will stay here most of the time."

Damian looked at her. "Stay here?"

Violetta nodded. "The Heavenly Sword Sect is a sword sect. Most of its peaks focus on sword cultivation, battle, and martial training. I am different."

Her smile became a little helpless. "My background is not like theirs. I know songs, dance, music, performance, and entertainment. Even if I cultivate now, my path is still connected to those things."

Damian nodded slowly. "So you want to refine your music and dance here?"

"Yes," Violetta said. "I want to turn everything I learned in the past into my own cultivation path. If I can make them work together, maybe I can become useful to Master in a different way."

Damian’s eyes softened slightly.

He knew Violetta’s past was not something simple.

Most people might look down on her background, but Damian did not care about that.

In his eyes, if something could be used, improved, and turned into power, then it was valuable.

He smiled. "Good. Then do it. If anyone in the sect looks down on your path, let me know."

Violetta looked at him for a moment before smiling gently. "Yes, Master."

Damian then turned toward Vulkara. "What about you?"

Vulkara’s eyes immediately became brighter. "I want to learn blacksmithing."

Damian paused. "Blacksmithing?"

Vulkara nodded firmly. "Yes."

Damian looked at her with surprise. "You? A blacksmith?"

Vulkara frowned. "What? Is that strange?"

Damian rubbed his chin. "A little."
