Chapter 313: A Playful Morning at the De Dominicis Group
A Playful Morning at the De Dominicis Group
After freshening up, Julian D’Aurelius left his house. The crisp morning air carried the scent of dew, and sunlight bathed the quiet streets of Silverhaven City in a warm golden glow.
Today, he drove his sleek Aston Martin.
The deep growl of the engine echoed softly as the luxury sports car glided through the city. People along the roadside couldn’t help but glance over. Some admired the car, while others recognized its owner.
Julian sat comfortably behind the wheel, one hand resting casually on the steering wheel. His black hair fluttered slightly whenever he lowered the window to let the cool breeze in. His golden eyes reflected the bustling city outside, calm yet thoughtful.
After nearly half an hour on the road, the towering headquarters of the De Dominicis Group appeared before him.
The modern glass building stood proudly among City’s financial district, radiating authority and wealth.
The security guards noticed the Aston Martin long before it reached the entrance.
"Young Master Julian."
"Good morning, Young Master Julian."
No one stopped him.
Everyone in the company already knew exactly who he was.
Not only was he Bianca De Dominicis’ honored guest, but countless employees had witnessed their unusually close relationship. Rumors had long spread throughout the company that although they hadn’t officially announced anything, the future son-in-law of the De Dominicis family had already been decided.
Julian simply smiled politely and nodded as he walked inside.
The receptionists greeted him with bright smiles.
Several employees secretly whispered after he entered the elevator.
"So handsome..."
"No wonder Miss Bianca always smiles whenever she talks about him."
"I heard she personally made breakfast today."
"I wish someone treated me like that."
The elevator doors quietly closed.
Julian naturally remained unaware of the gossip.
A few moments later, the elevator reached the top floor.
He stepped out and walked through the elegant corridor toward Bianca’s private office.
The assistants outside merely smiled respectfully.
"Good morning, Young Master Julian."
"Miss Bianca has been waiting."
Julian thanked them before lightly knocking on the office door.
"Come in."
Her familiar voice came from inside.
Pushing the door open, Julian entered.
The spacious office overlooked almost the entire city through its floor-to-ceiling windows. Sunlight poured across the polished wooden floor, while the faint fragrance of coffee and flowers lingered pleasantly in the air.
Bianca De Dominicis sat behind her desk.
Her long crimson hair cascaded over her shoulders like flowing silk. Her bright ruby-red eyes calmly scanned the documents before her. Dressed in a perfectly tailored business suit that emphasized her elegant yet voluptuous figure, she looked every bit the capable young president of the De Dominicis Group.
Only Julian knew...
Behind that cool appearance hid a woman who loved teasing him every chance she got.
When Julian arrived, she glanced up and said calmly, "You’re here. The cake is in the fridge, help yourself."
Her tone was so indifferent that Julian blinked.
"There’s really a cake, huh."
Julian chuckled, walking toward the refrigerator.
Opening it, he found a beautifully decorated strawberry cake waiting inside.
Fresh strawberries were arranged into the shape of a heart, with whipped cream neatly spread across the top. It looked surprisingly professional.
"So she actually made one..."
He couldn’t help smiling.
Taking out the cake, he also grabbed a bottle of milk.
He carried both over to the sofa before sitting down comfortably.
The first bite immediately melted in his mouth.
The sponge was soft.
The cream was light rather than overly sweet.
The strawberries added just enough freshness to balance everything.
Julian genuinely enjoyed it.
Within minutes, he had finished both the cake and the milk.
Leaning back comfortably, he raised his thumb with a playful grin.
"Not bad, Little Bianca. Your skills have improved lately."
"Thank you."
Bianca nodded slightly without even looking up from the documents.
Her calm response immediately made Julian pause.
"..."
That simple "thank you" sounded unusually distant.
He slowly lowered his hand.
A puzzled expression appeared on his face.
[What’s going on? Why is she so cold today?]
[Wasn’t she fine when we were chatting on Hello Messenger before?]
[Is it that time of the month? Let me check... Nope, it’s not.]
Julian secretly focused his attention on checking Bianca’s current condition.
Everything appeared perfectly normal.
No illness.
No physical discomfort.
Nothing unusual at all.
His confusion only deepened.
Hearing Julian’s inner thoughts, Bianca nearly burst into laughter.
She barely managed to suppress the smile threatening to appear on her lips.
You silly man...
You’re far too easy to tease.
She deliberately kept her expression completely serious.
Watching Julian become increasingly confused was unexpectedly entertaining.
Her ruby-red eyes sparkled with hidden amusement.
Yet outwardly...
She remained the picture of professionalism.
Julian rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Do you not like me calling you Little Bianca?" Julian asked tentatively.
After thinking for a moment, he concluded that perhaps his nickname had offended her.
Girls generally preferred cute nicknames.
Maybe "Little Bianca" wasn’t cute enough.
Or perhaps...
She simply wanted him to call her something more intimate.
Bianca calmly closed one document before finally looking at him.
"It’s fine."
Her voice remained completely flat.
Julian stared at her for two seconds.
[Damn, something’s definitely off.]
[Better be careful today.]
[Whenever she’s this quiet, it’s usually because she’s planning something.]
Bianca almost laughed again after hearing those thoughts.
Planning something?
You’re actually right this time.
She lowered her head again, pretending to continue reading.
Julian wisely decided not to continue asking.
From his experience...
When a woman clearly didn’t want to explain her mood, repeatedly asking "What’s wrong?" was practically asking for trouble.
Changing the subject was much safer.
He leaned forward slightly.
"By the way, weren’t we going to discuss Blackstone Global Group today? How do you plan to handle it?"
His expression gradually became more serious.
Business was business.
Although he enjoyed Bianca’s company, making money was equally important.
Bianca finally set the documents in her hands aside.
She opened one of the folders beside her before pulling out several neatly organized reports.
Without another word, she gently tossed the documents in front of Julian.
