Chapter 234: A Shameless Master Meets Her Match

A Shameless Master Meets Her Match

Just as she pushed Julian D’Aurelius, he staggered back two steps and collided with an open café table before falling to the ground.

The collision made a loud clatter.

Plates rattled.

A cup tipped over.

Nearby customers instinctively turned their heads.

For a brief moment, the entire noisy shopping street seemed to pause.

"Julian, are you okay?"

Seeing Julian fall, Amara Ravenswood panicked.

Her heart suddenly tightened.

Without hesitation, she rushed toward him and crouched beside him.

Her hazel eyes carried visible worry as she quickly looked him over.

Julian had one hand pressed against his forehead while his shoulders trembled slightly.

"My head is dizzy, I hit my head and it’s bleeding, call an ambulance quickly."

Julian covered his forehead with one hand, the other covered in red liquid.

The bright red color against his fingers looked startling beneath the shopping street lights.

His pained expression startled the onlookers.

Gasps immediately rose around them.

"Oh my God."

"He’s bleeding?"

"Did she really push him that hard?"

Even the expressions of nearby people changed.

The middle-aged woman was dumbfounded.

Her eyes widened.

She looked at her own hands.

Then looked at Julian.

Then looked back at her hands again.

She hadn’t even used force.

Then she realized, damn it, she had met a fellow shameless Master.

This level of faking injury was way above her.

"Crazy."

She cursed and turned to leave, but Julian held onto her clothes tightly.

His fingers gripped her sleeve like iron hooks.

"Trying to leave? You better come with me to the hospital, you won’t escape paying for the checkup and treatment."

[Damn it, daring to play the scam game with me?]

[Please, I’ve already reached peak shamelessness. I’ve even made comments about cute girls and their boobies before, and you think you can beat me?]

"..."

Amara, who had been about to call an ambulance, finally realized.

Her hand froze halfway.

Her eyes widened at Julian.

This guy...

Was he acting?

No wonder, with his and her medical skills, why call an ambulance?

She looked carefully again.

The "blood" on his hand looked suspiciously thick.

Almost...

Too thick.

The corner of her mouth twitched.

She suddenly didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

The middle-aged woman was so flustered by Julian that she couldn’t shake him off.

Seeing more and more people gathering around.

She had no choice but to grab the flowers from the kid and hand them to Julian.

"Handsome, I was wrong today, please let me go."

Julian looked down at the flowers.

Then looked at the woman.

Then looked at the flowers again.

Slowly, a smile spread across his face.

Julian took the flowers with a smile, wiped his hand on her clothes, and said irritably.

"Get lost."

The middle-aged woman quickly dragged her son away.

The little boy kept turning his head back every few steps, his small face filled with unwillingness and grievance. His cheeks puffed up as if he still couldn’t accept what had just happened.

"Mom, we can’t just let them go like that..." he muttered unwillingly.

"Shut up and keep walking."

The woman gritted her teeth and hurried forward, her expression ugly.

After running for some distance, she suddenly wrinkled her nose.

A strange smell drifted into the air.

Sweet...

Sour...

Her steps abruptly stopped.

Confused, she lowered her head and touched her clothes.

Her fingers came back stained with ketchup.

For a moment, the woman’s entire face stiffened.

Then it turned darker and darker, as black as coal.

"Ketchup?!"

She nearly exploded on the spot.

That damned brat actually tricked her?

Grinding her teeth furiously, she immediately dragged her son back.

But by the time they returned, the bustling crowd had already swallowed everything.

People moved back and forth beneath the dazzling lights while laughter and chatter mixed with the aroma of street food.

The two people she wanted to find had already disappeared without a trace.

After getting the flowers, Julian quickly pulled Amara away.

Night wind brushed against them as they left the crowded shopping street.

The noise behind them gradually faded.

Once out of the shopping street, he handed the flowers to Amara with a grin.

"Here, I’m selling them cheap, only eight bucks each."

Amara stared at him.

Then stared at the flowers.

Then stared back at him.

"You’re still charging me?"

Her beautiful eyes widened slightly in disbelief.

"Of course, clear accounts make good friends. Too bad you’re a girl, otherwise, I’d become sworn brothers with you."

Julian said matter-of-factly.

Amara snorted, snatching the flowers from him and taking a sniff.

Hmm, the flowers were quite nice.

A faint fragrance entered her nose.

The corners of her lips lifted before she even realized it.

Pay for it? 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Yeah... not happening.

Her eyes drifted toward Julian as he casually wiped his hands with a wet tissue, looking completely relaxed, as if nothing unusual had happened.

She narrowed her eyes slightly.

"That blood..." she asked, suspicion creeping into her voice, "...was that ketchup?"

Julian paused for half a second, then looked up at her with an innocent expression that was so fake it almost deserved praise.

"Yeah." He grinned. "I grabbed it from an open café table."

A laugh escaped him, easy and shameless.

Being thick-skinned had always been one of Julian’s talents. No embarrassment. No guilt. Not even a trace of it.

He wore his shamelessness like a badge of honor.
