Chapter 186: Chapter 139: Nuannuan Was Too Tempting, I Lost a Little Control Last Night

"Alright."

He kissed her neck, murmuring his assent, unable to Control himself as he slowly pushed inside. Then, he lifted her out of the bathtub and carried her toward the bedroom.

Their bodies were locked together, a perfect fit. A sensation unlike any they had ever known crashed over them, rushing to their heads and driving them to the brink of madness.

Fu Yuan gritted his teeth, his breath coming in ragged gasps. Sweat beaded on his forehead, trickling down his cheeks and dripping onto his chest. A scorching flame ignited in his deep, beautiful eyes, turning them crimson.

He stopped short, pressing her firmly against the wall. He lowered his head and bit down on her soft, pink lips.

"I’m sorry... I can’t hold back..."

The night passed.

The next day, sunlight streamed through the glass window, scattering dappled halos of light.

A halo of light fell across the sofa, landing right on Si Xie’s eyes. The sharp glare made him frown, and his slumbering consciousness slowly returned. He opened his eyes to the familiar surroundings, completely baffled.

After a few seconds, his sluggish mind finally caught up. Scene after scene flashed through his head. He clenched his fists, furious enough to kill.

’Damn that Fu Yuan. That despicable bastard! To have Nuannuan all to himself, he actually used his Cultivation to knock me out.’

He rolled off the sofa and sprinted for the stairs. The moment he reached the landing, a powerful force sent him flying back onto the floor.

He looked up and saw a transparent Barrier blocking the stairs.

’That damn bastard! To stop me from going upstairs, he even put up a Barrier. How can a person be so shameless?’

Furious, Si Xie clenched his fist and rose to his feet. He channeled all his power and pounded on the Barrier. But despite unleashing everything he had, it was as futile as a mayfly trying to shake a mighty tree. The Barrier didn’t move an inch.

The gap between the Returning Origin Stage and a Half-step Ultimate Venerable was simply too vast.

Soon, his inner core ran dry. He collapsed to the floor, so exhausted he couldn’t even lift a finger.

「Upstairs.」

Jiang Yunnuan was woken by pain.

As consciousness returned, she found her entire body sore and aching, as if she had been run over by a truck. It felt like her bones were about to fall apart. And down there... the area was swollen and sore, so numb she couldn’t feel a thing.

’She didn’t have to guess. She was definitely chafed raw.’

Meanwhile, the culprit seemed tireless, still laboring away diligently.

"You’re awake?"

He leaned down, kissing her cheek and earlobe.

Jiang Yunnuan gave him a forceful shove. "What time is it?" she asked irritably. "I feel awful. Get off me!"

The moment she opened her mouth, she realized her throat felt like it was full of shattered glass. It was agony to speak, and her voice was so hoarse it was barely a whisper.

’Damn it. I must have screamed too much last night and strained my throat.’

There was no faking the state of her voice; it was clearly strained from overuse. Fu Yuan immediately stopped. He lowered his head, kissing the corner of her lips as he apologized guiltily.

"I’m sorry. Nuannuan, you’re just too tempting. I lost Control a bit last night. Just bear with me... I’m... pulling out."

True to his word, he slowly withdrew.

’He was so compliant. Jiang Yunnuan didn’t have the heart to blame him. After all, she’d had her share of pleasure last night, too. Even though it was his first time, he had been incredibly attentive and obedient.’

’He did whatever she asked, following her every instruction, which suited her perfectly.’

’It wasn’t until right before she passed out, when she was too exhausted to speak, that he started moving to his own rhythm.’

’His rhythm was fast and deep, utterly ferocious. She couldn’t take it at all, and at some point, she had simply lost consciousness.’

’Sigh... She’d enjoyed it in the moment, but now she was paying the painful price.’

She reached out, wrapping her arm around Fu Yuan’s neck. Forcing the words past her sore throat, she admonished him, "You have to be more moderate in the future. We can’t be this unrestrained again. Do you understand?"

"Alright, I’ll remember. From now on, I’ll listen to whatever you say. Do you want to drink some Spirit Water to help with the pain?"

"Mm-hm."

Jiang Yunnuan took out some Innate Spirit Water and drank it all before having him carry her to take a bath.

’She was covered in sweat and his saliva—it was sticky and felt absolutely awful.’

After her bath, the Innate Spirit Water had already restored her energy. She changed into a fresh set of clothes and headed downstairs.

The Barrier dissipated automatically the moment she touched it.

A figure was sitting on the floor at the foot of the stairs. Jiang Yunnuan stopped.

"Si Xie, why are you sitting here?"

At the sound of her voice, he got up and looked at her. His eyes were moist, the corners red and swollen like walnuts. His hair was a mess. He looked just like an abandoned puppy—utterly pathetic and pitiful.

Jiang Yunnuan’s gaze trembled, and she felt an uncontrollable surge of deep guilt.

’His eyes are so swollen... Could he have been sitting here crying this whole time?’

"Nuannuan, you’re awake!"

He spoke softly, his voice tinged with the faint tremor of a sob. Hearing it made her heart ache with even more guilt.

"I’m so sorry... I’ve made you sad."

"It has nothing to do with you. It’s... my own fault..."

He shook his head vigorously and lowered it, unable to stop fresh tears from welling up and spilling from the corners of his eyes. Jiang Yunnuan quickly reached out to cup his face, frantically wiping the tears away.

"Don’t... don’t cry..."

Seeing him cry made her want to cry, too.

She wanted to comfort him but didn’t know how. Her heart was a sour, tangled mess, and she had no idea what to do. All she could do was be sad with him.

Fu Yuan came downstairs to this exact scene.

His brow twitched. The corner of his mouth curled into a smirk, and a flash of cold mockery crossed his eyes.

’Crying already?’

’What a useless piece of trash.’

He walked down the stairs and sneered. "Beastmen shed blood, not tears," he taunted. "What are you crying about? Have you no shame?"

"Can’t you just say a little less?"

Jiang Yunnuan shot him a glare.

"Fu Yuan, I’ll remember what you did last night. You’d better pray my Cultivation never catches up to yours, or I’ll make you pay dearly!"

He glared at Fu Yuan, his eyes red with fury and viciousness.

Fu Yuan’s lips curved into a light, arrogant smile. "Thank you for the reminder. I’ll be sure to practice my Cultivation diligently from now on. I’ll make absolutely certain you never have the chance to catch up."

"Hmph. What’s there to be so smug about? The world is an unpredictable place. Life is full of surprises. There’s a long road ahead of us. We’ll just have to wait and see."

Si Xie clenched his fists, a vicious glint flashing in his eyes as he defiantly threw down the gauntlet.

Fu Yuan, however, paid his words no mind at all.

He let out a derisive laugh. "Is that so?" he provoked. "I’ll be waiting!"

’That smug look on his face was just begging for a punch. It made her want to land a few on him herself.’

’Of course. It was always the same with these bastards. No matter which one it was, as soon as their Cultivation leveled up, their whole attitude changed.’

’Whether they were likable or detestable depended entirely on their level of Cultivation.’

"Nuannuan, I’m going into seclusion. I won’t be able to stay with you for a while, but I’ll be thinking of you."

No one could be expected to endure that kind of provocation.

Si Xie, who had always been competitive and aggressive, found it especially unbearable. He decided to enter seclusion for intensive Cultivation. Reaching out, he hugged Jiang Yunnuan, his reluctance to leave clear as he spoke.

Hearing this, Jiang Yunnuan froze for a moment before coming to her senses. She gently patted his back and then leaned in to kiss him.

"Alright. But you must remember not to be too impatient, or you might suffer a Qi deviation and become a Fallen Demon."
