Chapter 172: Chapter 125: My Bloodline Is Far More Noble Than the Merfolk’s

"Admit it. You have ulterior motives. You’re up to no good."

He muttered indignantly, pouting so hard you could hang a bottle from his lip.

Seeing this, Jiang Yunnuan gave him a light, exasperated punch.

"What nonsense are you spouting? I’m seriously considering slapping a Silence Talisman on you. It would save me from your constant babbling."

Si Xie: "..."

’Hmph. She’s ditching me to go have fun, and now she’s calling me annoying and threatening me with a Silence Talisman. That’s so unfair!’

Suddenly, something cool was pressed into his hand. He looked down and saw an emerald-green fruit, radiating an immense and pure power.

Jiang Yunnuan stroked his head, soothing him in a soft voice.

"This is very good for your Cultivation. Cultivate well here. Once you break through to the Ultimate Venerable Stage, you’ll be able to go anywhere you want, not just the bottom of the sea. You can do it! We have to go now. We’ll bring you back a gift."

"Let’s go, Fu Yuan."

She walked over to Fu Yuan and took his hand. The two of them leaped into the sea and vanished in the blink of an eye.

Squeezing the emerald-green fruit, Si Xie clenched his fists so tightly the veins bulged on the back of his hands. A suppressed, cold aura radiated from his body.

Ming Ye looked up at him and was shocked to see that his eyes were alarmingly red and glistening at the corners.

’Did I see that right?’

’Did that guy actually cry?’

「In the sea.」

Fu Yuan reached out and pulled Jiang Yunnuan into a tight embrace. Next to him, she could breathe as if she were on land, completely unaffected by the water. It was magical.

The water was murky, but their vision was surprisingly clear.

All sorts of marine creatures surrounded them—large and small, beautiful and ugly. But without exception, any creature they came across instantly froze, not daring to move a muscle or even come a little closer.

Jiang Yunnuan found this fascinating. She reached out and poked a plump fish. The creature didn’t dodge or flee, acting just like a dead fish and letting her poke it until it flipped over, exposing its belly.

It then remained in that position for a long time, which looked hilarious.

"Fu Yuan, are these little creatures being suppressed by your bloodline?"

"Mhm," Fu Yuan responded softly.

In terms of bloodline Level, he was the highest among the myriad members of the Sea Clan. High-Level Sea Clan members would feel the urge to worship him, while low-Level ones would be frozen in place.

"Ask them where the treasure is. We’re going to strike it rich today!"

Jiang Yunnuan was eager to start treasure hunting.

Her greed for treasure made Fu Yuan chuckle. "Not so fast," he said. "There’s somewhere I want you to go with me first."

She looked at him curiously, only then noticing that at some point, dark blue scales and pearls had appeared around his eyes, at his temples, on his cheeks, and across his collarbones. They shimmered beautifully.

Even his choppy short hair had grown long, now cascading down to his waist and adorned with pearls and seashells. Paired with his gentle, handsome face, he was simply breathtaking.

"Huh? When did you change your look? I didn’t even notice. You kind of look like one of the Merfolk."

"This is what my half-beast Kun Transformation looks like."

He reached out and gently flicked her forehead. "There’s something wrong with your eyes," he said with a helpless sigh. "My bloodline is far more advanced than that of the Merfolk."

’The Merfolk would barely qualify to be my servants.’

Jiang Yunnuan: "..."

"Fine, fine, fine! The Merfolk aren’t worthy of being compared to you. You’re far more handsome and superior. Happy now? But you said this is your half-beast Transformation... That’s not right. You transformed in the Nine Nether Abyss last time, and you looked completely different."

"That was because my Realm was too low. I couldn’t bring out the full power of my bloodline."

’So that’s why.’

’It seems his form will change again as his Realm gets higher in the future.’

Jiang Yunnuan shifted her focus from his appearance. "Oh, right. You said you wanted to go somewhere first. Where to?"

"I don’t know where it is, but I can feel something calling to me. Let’s go take a look."

’Based on her years of experience reading web novels, a situation like this could only mean one thing: he was about to receive some kind of inheritance, wasn’t he?’

’Whatever. We’ll find out when we get there.’

Pushing her thoughts aside, Jiang Yunnuan nodded. "Alright, let’s go see."

"Mhm."

Fu Yuan led her onward through the water, and before long, they encountered a school of unimaginably massive deep-sea behemoths.

The beasts were like a range of small mountains. Their blood-red eyes, ten feet in diameter, radiated an overwhelming pressure that made the two of them look like tiny specks.

"Whoa, what are these monsters? They’re ridiculously huge! Fu Yuan, they’re not going to eat us, are they?"

Jiang Yunnuan couldn’t help but swallow nervously as a prickling chill crept over her entire body.

’Honestly, the two of us together wouldn’t even be enough to get stuck in one of their teeth. Unless Fu Yuan fully transformed, and even then he might only be a decent snack for a few of them.’

"Don’t worry, they won’t hurt us."

"Oh, really? Well, if you say so, I feel so much better."

Despite her words, she couldn’t help but press closer into his embrace, her arms tightening around him. The movement of her soft body sent a jolt like an electric current through him, making him go numb all over.

Fu Yuan couldn’t hold back a muffled groan. He frowned, leaning his head on her shoulder and panting softly.

"We have things to do, Nuannuan... Don’t tempt me..."

’If she keeps this up, I won’t be able to hold back.’

Sensing his reaction, Jiang Yunnuan frowned but didn’t immediately let go or pull away.

"You’re too easy to tempt, then. I barely did anything and you’re already this worked up. Your self-control is terrible. I think you need to do some serious self-reflection."

Fu Yuan: "..."

He reached out, pinched her cheek, and chuckled. "Hah, my self-control is terrible? Are you sure about that? Before you say that, maybe you should think about Jun Yao and Si Xie."

’Compared to those two, my self-control is infinitely better, isn’t it?’

’If it were either of them in this position, they probably would have stripped her bare and devoured her without leaving a single scrap behind.’

The more he thought about it, the more aroused he became. His eyes darkened as he pulled her forcefully against him, their bodies pressed together without the slightest gap.

"It’s the pot calling the kettle black. Let’s not make fun of each other. Didn’t you say we had important things to do? Let’s get going."

Seeing that the giant beasts truly had no intention of attacking them, Jiang Yunnuan breathed a sigh of relief. Her tense nerves finally relaxed, and not wanting to continue their current topic, she urged him onward.

"Not so fast. I need to cool down."

He rested his head on her shoulder and gently kissed her ear. His ragged breaths and hot sighs rushed into her ear, making Jiang Yunnuan instinctively tense up as goosebumps erupted uncontrollably over her skin.

"With so many eyes watching, you can still get this worked up? You have no shame at all!"

Hearing this, he waved a hand. The seawater swirled, forming several curtains of water that blocked them from all lines of sight.

"What’s there to be ashamed of? They can’t see anything. Nuannuan, kiss me. It’s been so long since you’ve really kissed me..."

He released her earlobe, his jewel-like eyes burning as they fixed on her.
