Chapter 290: Jisung’s story 15: Goodbye.
Few months after
Yeon’s POV
"Well?" I ask Jisung and he gives me a glare.
Ever since Sehwa came into his life, it’s as if I have gotten my Jisungie back, he’s the same boy I used to adore...just with bigger muscles.
"Well what?" he asks with a huff, tying his shoelace, and I raise a brow at him.
He’s getting ready to propose to the cute beta, and I need to see it happen sooner than later.
"Stop meddling" he says and I punch his shoulder, "meddling? I’m not meddling" I say and he rolls his eyes.
"Leave me alone, don’t you have like what? a grandkid to take care of?" he asks and I grin at him.
"I have two grandkids, by the way, Soobin said his first word and you won’t believe it"
"He said grandma" Jisung responds flatly.
"How’d you know?"
"You didn’t brag about Haeri’s first word" he says and I give a smug smile.
"I’m ready for a third grandchild" I announce loudly, and Yujun looks up from where he’s seating with a peaceful Soobin on his lap.
"No" he says, he turns his head to his husband and adds a firmer, "no".
"It’s the Luna’s order" Jaehyun whines and I start to snicker.
"Don’t worry, no need to fight about it, Gawon and Yunah will give me one" I say.
"Mom!" Yunah yells from across the garden, and Gawon makes a funny face of disgust.
Gosh I love teasing them like this, I will miss having them around me.
"Well, what are you waiting for Sehwa?" I ask the young beta and he looks up with wide eyes.
He looks so cute as he looks around, I know he was trying his best to disappear before I called his name.
"I need grandkids, Soobinie is already getting old" I say, leaning forward and he blinks rapidly.
"I’m a beta" he points to himself like I don’t know about the most obvious thing, and my smile grows even more mischievous.
"Doesn’t stop you from trying..."
"Goddess, Jaehyun please tell your mother to stop begin a terror" Jisung says to my Jaehyun who is laughing hysterically.
We have the exact same humor unfortunately.
The main pack home’s door opens and my husband, my Lord, comes out with a sobbing Haeri in his arms.
She loves him, not as much as me, but she loves her grandad a lot.
We are moving back to the home we spent our earlier days at, the place we celebrated the birth of our only living child, Jaehyun.
Yujun is already a competent Lord, he rules the two clans under him like he was born for it.
He has Jaehyun by his side, what is that word...his simp, his husband and his biggest support.
He has Gawon by his side as his righthand man, and Yunah, his sunshine and reminder to be happy.
My husband and I are stepping back to let them live, also because I can have him to myself before he die...it’s selfish, I know, but it’s my wish.
"No" Haeri’s small protest turns into big sobs and into bigger cries, and my husband looks at me helplessly.
’Help!’ he begs with his eyes and I chuckle before going to them.
"Little red, what’s wrong?" I ask and she pouts at me.
"I don’t want grandpa to go" she says and I take her from my husband’s arms, kissing her forehead as I take her with me.
"You can always visit us, your mom will bring you" I tell her and she wails even louder.
"Aigoo, don’t cry, it’s okay" I say and start to bounce her in my arms.
"We’ll all go together" Jaehyun says and I smile at him, of course he’s also having a hard time letting us go.
"Yes, I’ll go get Soobin dressed for it" Yujun says quickly.
I shake my head; I see, we are all affected by it, none of us wants to let go, but we’re trying to act tough about it.
I hand Haeri to her father and follow Yujun into their own home.
The young omega lord places his son on the bed, muttering to himself as he picks out clothes for the traveling.
He doesn’t know that I’m here, he sits on the bed next to Soobin, and the little boy starts to talk in baby language to his mother.
"Yes, grandma is going away" he says and I can’t hold back my chuckle.
"I’ll just be a few hours drive away, goodness, Junnah" I say and go over to hug him.
He isn’t even startled by my presence, he just avoids looking at me.
"Are you crying?" I ask and he shakes his head.
"I just want my husband to myself, is that too much to ask?" I ask him.
"You are the only mother I’ve ever known" he says, turning his face away, still shy with expressing his feelings.
"I know this is important for you, but...I just got you in my life, and it’s hard to let go of the only person that has loved me like you" he says and I hold his face in my hand.
"Oh Junnah, my precious boy, it’s hard for me to separate myself from you too" I confess and he sighs.
"We shouldn’t delay others" he mutters and changes Soobin’s clothes.
The baby keeps looking at me with the roundest eyes.
Haeri is her father’s daughter, and Soobin is Yujun’s perfect copy with dark hair.
"If I say we’ll have another baby, will you stay?" Yujun says with an exaggerated sigh and I blink twice.
Eh?
Did Choi Yujun just make a joke?
"Yah, don’t say empty words" I tsk at him and he lets out a wet laugh.
"Okay, but Haeri and Soobin will be spending a lot of holidays with you" Yujun says and I pat his pretty white hair.
"You can spend a lot do holidays with me" I say.
My omega whines at the pathetic goodbye and I groan in frustration; I already know what I’m going to do.
My husband is getting ready to say goodbye to the world.
We’re not fighting against death, the best thing we can do is stay with the ones we love...right?
"We’re not going" I say and Yujun’s head snaps up.
"Really? Mom, really?" he asks and I groan like I don’t like the idea of staying.
"Yes, yes, whatever" I say with a smile.
"Binnah, grandma and grandpa is staying!" Yujun squeals in a voice I’ve never heard before.
He sounds so happy as he runs out of the house with his baby boy.
"Everyone! They’re staying!" he announces and the whole clan starts to cheer...wait, where did all these people come from?
I can’t help but laugh at the sight, clan members hug each other happily, Haeri claps her little hands as her dad cheers.
"We belong together forever teddy bear dad!" Yunah says to my husband, hugging him and my husband gives me the ’help me’ look.
He loves her, he loves me, he loves everyone.
At the end of the day...family and love wins...right?
