Upon witnessing the scene, Ming Yuexin said nothing more. She simply stamped her foot forcefully and stormed out, slamming the door behind her.

It took quite a while for Su Yuxian, whose mind had gone completely blank from the intense pleasure, to regain some of her senses.

Recalling what had just happened, she looked at Ye Fei with great anxiety and urged, "What are we going to do? You have to go after Xinyin right away! Don’t let her do anything foolish!"

Ever since Ming Yuexin had left, Ye Fei’s mind had been following her.

Seeing that she hadn’t gone far but had run up to the rooftop terrace, he was initially startled. However, upon noticing that she simply sat down helplessly, he felt relieved. Hearing Su Yuxian’s plea, he smiled reassuringly and said, "Don’t worry. With me here, Sister Xin will come to her senses."

With that, Ye Fei gently lowered Su Yuxian’s legs, carefully withdrew the object that had caused the rift between mother and daughter, and then picked her up. He carried her into her bedroom, laid her down, and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"Rest for a bit. I’ll go find Sister Xin. Don’t worry; she’ll understand you."

At this point, Su Yuxian was completely at a loss and could only place her hopes in Ye Fei. She had wanted to go with him to find her daughter, but her legs were too weak to stand.

Ye Fei gave her another comforting smile before leaving her room.

He went to the living room, got dressed, and slowly made his way up to the rooftop terrace. By this time, he had already prepared what he wanted to say.

Ming Yuexin was sitting on the terrace, facing the setting sun, hugging her knees. From behind, her figure looked incredibly lonely, which tugged at Ye Fei’s heartstrings. He longed to protect her. "Sister Xin," Ye Fei called out softly, standing behind her.

At the sound of Ye Fei’s voice, Ming Yuexin’s shoulders trembled slightly. She replied coldly, "Don’t call me that. You don’t have the right."

"Alright, even if I don’t have the right, I still need to say this—your mom is really worried about you," Ye Fei said, sitting down next to her.

Ming Yuexin shifted away from him with a hint of disgust and continued with a stern expression, "I don’t need her to worry about me. I don’t have a mother like her."

"If she heard you say that, she would be very hurt," Ye Fei sighed gently. "Do you know how I got together with her?"

"I have no interest in knowing your sordid affairs!" Ming Yuexin snorted coldly.

"Whether you’re interested or not, I’m going to tell you. You can choose to listen or not," Ye Fei recounted how he had met Su Yuxian, ending with, "Do you still think she doesn’t deserve to be your mom?"

"What is it about you that made Ye Yu go to such great lengths?" Ming Yuexin turned to look at Ye Fei, her bright eyes brimming with tears. Clearly, despite her outward questioning, she had almost entirely believed him.

"Ye Fei is just my nickname," Ye Fei said softly. "My real name is Ye Fei. Do you think Ye Yu would go to such lengths to deal with me?"

Although the revelation of Ye Fei’s true identity should have shocked Ming Yuexin, she was too preoccupied to care at the moment. She had already fully believed Ye Fei’s words.

Thinking about the great sacrifices her mother had made for her, and considering how she had spoken to her just now, Ming Yuexin felt extremely guilty.

The usually strong and beautiful policewoman could no longer hold back her tears. They flowed uncontrollably, and she eventually cried softly, resting her head on her knees.

Ye Fei sighed again and patted Ming Yuexin’s shoulder gently, saying softly, "Sister Xin, don’t be too upset. It’s all in the past now."

Ming Yuexin’s body trembled slightly as she forcefully shook off Ye Fei’s hand from her shoulder, turning to look at him coldly and saying, "Don’t touch me!"

"Are you still angry with me?" Ye Fei looked into Ming Yuexin’s eyes and asked softly.

"Of course! Since you knew my mom was forced into it, why did you still pursue her afterward?" Ming Yuexin said resentfully. "I never want to see you again. Please leave her alone!"

"I never intended to pursue her. After that time, she left while I was asleep, without even leaving a way for me to contact her. Although I missed her, I understood that she wanted to be a good wife and mother. So, even though I could have easily found her, I chose not to," Ye Fei said, a bitter smile appearing on his face.

"However, fate likes to play tricks on people. I thought I would never see her again, but when I came home with you that one time, I discovered she was your mom."

Ming Yuexin was stunned, instantly realizing why Ye Fei and her mom had looked so awkward when she first brought him home. She hadn’t expected that she had helped them reunite.

Ye Fei was right—fate was truly unpredictable.

"During that visit, the seeds of affection were already sown between us," Ye Fei continued.

"By the time we met again, those feelings inevitably burst forth, and we stopped running away from them. It just felt natural to be together."

"You mean, you and my mom actually fell in love?" Ming Yuexin felt absurd. The boy in front of her was seven years younger than her, and nearly thirty years younger than her mom. Could there really be love between them?

"Absolutely," Ye Fei nodded. "Haven’t you heard that love knows no age?"

"But she still has my dad," Ming Yuexin said, momentarily forgetting her sorrow as she argued with him, feeling a bit better after talking so much.

"Their marriage was arranged by their parents, so there was no real love to begin with. Even if there was, it turned into familial affection after years of living together," Ye Fei explained. "Your mom told me this herself."

Ming Yuexin protested, "But they’re still husband and wife. Isn’t it wrong to do this?"

"It’s already very difficult for a loveless marriage to last this long," Ye Fei said. "And your mom didn’t initiate anything. She only gave in after that first, unavoidable time. Good women like her are rare in this day and age."

"What do you mean?" Ming Yuexin asked, puzzled. How could her parents have a loveless marriage? Then how was she conceived?

Ye Fei sighed and said, "Your dad hasn’t been capable in that way for many years. So, your mom has been enduring all this time."

"But she’s already in her forties. Shouldn’t this kind of thing not be that important anymore?"

Ming Yuexin unconsciously began discussing the matter with Ye Fei.

It has to be said that sometimes, women’s curiosity can be really strong, no matter when or where.

"Have you heard the saying, ’At thirty, one is like a wolf; at forty, one is like a tiger; at fifty, one can sit and suck on dirt’?" Ye Fei teased, looking at Ming Yuexin with a playful glint in his eyes.

Ming Yuexin couldn’t help but blush slightly under his gaze. She had certainly heard the saying before, but had always dismissed it as vulgar and never given it much thought.

Now, however, she found herself pondering it and realized it made a certain amount of sense. She had also come across similar descriptions in various sources.

Though Ming Yuexin had never experienced such things in a relationship, as a physically mature woman, she had occasionally indulged in self-pleasure a few times.

The sensation was quite pleasant, and to her embarrassment, she had been doing it more frequently lately.

What was even more mortifying was that during those moments, the person who came to her mind was the very boy she despised so much—Ye Fei.

Considering how someone in their twenties might feel a certain allure towards such experiences, it was no wonder that her mother, who had tasted those pleasures and was still in that age range, would feel the same.

Ye Fei was absolutely right. The fact that her mother had endured for so many years truly made her a paragon of traditional virtue.

By this point, Ming Yuexin had already come to terms with Ye Fei and her mother’s relationship. However, there was one thing she still couldn’t let go of: she had clearly walked in on them, yet they had continued without stopping.

Most hurtful of all, her mother had screamed in ecstasy right in front of her, even climaxing so intensely.

As if reading her thoughts, Ye Fei asked, "Are you still troubled by the fact that even after you arrived, we didn’t stop?"

"Yes," Ming Yuexin replied, nodding subconsciously since she had been preoccupied with that very question.

"It’s my fault. I lost control, and as for her... never mind, you wouldn’t understand even if I explained," Ye Fei said, shaking his head.

"Why wouldn’t I understand?" Ming Yuexin glared at Ye Fei, feeling insulted that he doubted her intelligence.

"It’s not easy to explain. You’ll understand once you’re in a relationship and experience it yourself," Ye Fei replied, shaking his head again.
