Arabella and Evelyn strolled through the pristine, over-the-top hallways of the school, their shoes clicking lightly against the polished marble floors.

Evelyn Harper was the kind of girl who made people forget what they were doing the moment she walked by. Not because she tried—if anything, she barely seemed aware of the attention—but because her body was built like temptation itself. She had that impossible, sinful hourglass shape, curves so full and exaggerated they seemed almost unreal, like something sculpted by a god with an overactive imagination.

Her school uniform did nothing to hide it. The white button-up clung to her chest in a way that made the buttons fight for their lives, the fabric stretching just enough to tease at the softness underneath.

The navy blazer, meant to add some professionalism, only ended up framing her figure, emphasizing the curve of her waist before flaring out at her hips. And then there was the skirt—standard issue, but on her? It sat just a little too high, hugging the swell of her thighs, moving with a kind of slow, natural sway that turned heads before people even realized they were staring.

Her legs, smooth and endlessly long, were wrapped in sheer black tights, finishing off the look with a touch of elegance that only made her more distracting.

But then there was her. The way she carried herself. Warm, soft-spoken, and impossibly gentle, like she couldn’t even fathom cruelty. She had a way of looking at people like they mattered, like they were worth something, even when they didn’t believe it themselves.

A girl with the body of a succubus but the soul of an angel, completely unaware of the chaos she left in her wake.

Evelyn adjusted the strap of her designer handbag, eyes flickering toward the glass entrance behind them. "So, uh… any clue why Maya just pulled a U-turn like that?"

Arabella hummed, thoughtful, flipping her hair over one shoulder. "Maybe she forgot something in her car?"

Evelyn snorted cutely. "Please. This is Maya we’re talking about. The girl is literally never unprepared. If anything, she overplans."

"True." Arabella pursed her lips. "Maybe she saw someone?" Explore new worlds at freewebnovel

"Who? She barely likes people, let alone willingly goes back for them. Well, she likes Parker at least. So unless it’s him...

"The only one who can make her turn... That’s if she indeed turned because of someone!" That was fair. Maya was cryptic in the most unnecessary way possible—mysterious for the sake of being mysterious.

She wasn’t open about anything, always playing mind games, always knowing more than she let on. Even as their friend, she still felt like an unsolvable equation half the time.

Evelyn sighed. "I swear, it’s like she enjoys keeping everyone on edge."

"She does," Arabella muttered, shaking her head. They shared a look—one of those silent conversations built off years of friendship, the kind that said yeah, we’re never figuring her out, are we?

"Whatever," Evelyn finally said, waving it off. "She’ll tell us if she wants to. Or she won’t. Either way, let’s not be here looking like we just got ghosted."

"Right. Let’s go before people think we care too much." And with that, they turned, heading down the hallway again—Maya’s weird behavior filed away under yet another mystery they’d probably never solve.

The way Evelyn walked through the hallway like she wasn’t the reason half the school population had their heads turning. It wasn’t even intentional—the way her body moved was just unfair, like physics and genetics had teamed up to create something absolutely unreasonable.

But the real kicker? She had no idea. Or if she did, she genuinely didn’t care.

She wasn’t like the other girls who used their looks as a weapon—no batting lashes for attention, no smug smirks when people stared. Evelyn Harper was angelic, in both face and soul. She could maybe even walk past someone thirsting over her, and instead of milking it, she’d smile sweetly and ask if they needed help with their homework.

And that’s what made it worse.

The guys in the hallway were struggling. Some tried to be subtle, sneaking glances as she passed, only to get caught by their friends who immediately started clowning them. Others weren’t even trying to hide it, practically hypnotized by the way her hips swayed under that way-too-unfair-for-a-school-setting skirt.

"Dude—" One guy elbowed his friend, eyes locked on her. "I swear, she was handcrafted by God himself. I can’t stop being amazed everytime I see her, like she’s a new person everyday."

"Bro, I swear I heard angelic choir music the first time she walked past me," another whispered dramatically, clutching his chest.

One of the girls sighed, rolling her eyes. "Y’all are so down bad it’s embarrassing."

But even she couldn’t deny it. Evelyn Harper was the definition of a walking heartbreaker—except she wasn’t breaking hearts on purpose. She was just existing, oblivious to the wreckage she left behind.

Arabella, walking beside her, had seen this play out so many times that she barely reacted anymore. Instead, she leaned over, whispering just loud enough for Evelyn to hear.

"Do you ever get tired of being so unfairly hot?"

Evelyn blinked, clearly confused. "What?"

Arabella just sighed, shaking her head. "Nothing. Forget it."

Because explaining it to her was pointless.

Annabelle shook her head, throwing a glance at Evelyn like she just couldn’t believe what she was hearing. "If I were you? I’d be beating a boy or two every single day. By the end of the month? Not a single one of these dumbasses would have the audacity to gawk at me."

Evelyn, being Evelyn, just smiled—that soft, radiant, glow-up-the-world kind of smile. The kind that made it impossible to find a single trace of malice in her. "They’re harmless, Annabelle," she said, voice like honey, like she actually believed the nonsense she was saying. "What’s the worst that can happen? They admire me, and that’s it. I don’t blame them at all. It’s a natural instinct!"

Annabelle just stared at her. This girl... This girl was built different. She swore, Evelyn was meant to be an angel or something, not a descendant of an Origin Family.

"But… what will you do if everyone in the Circle finds out about your secret?"
