Chapter 80: Chapter 79 Collision
However, Gu Yue didn’t say much, she just drove.
On the road, the two chatted sporadically, talking nothing but the medical exchange conference.
Gu Yue finally learned which hospital Zhang Hao worked at; indeed, it was a small hospital.
It was quite unusual for him to participate in the conference.
"But I still thank you for saving me at the airport, and I hope that you will achieve your desire at this conference."
Zhang Hao felt that describing it as ’achieving your desire’ didn’t quite fit; it should be ’gaining something’ instead.
Worried that Doctor Liu hadn’t eaten, Zhang Hao thoughtfully packed some food from a restaurant outside the hotel to bring back.
Upon entering the elevator, he found that Gu Yue was there as well!
Right then, Zhang Hao understood that Gu Yue was also staying in this hotel.
But why hadn’t she mentioned that they were staying at the same hotel during their drive?
"You didn’t get enough to eat at dinner?" Gu Yue noticed the meal boxes in Zhang Hao’s hand, which seemed to include dumplings as well.
"It’s for Doctor Liu. I can’t just eat my fill outside and not care about him."
"If he’s already eaten, these can be for breakfast tomorrow; they won’t go to waste."
Zhang Hao was staying on the third floor, and Gu Yue on the fourth floor.
Although there was only a floor between them, the gap in the quality of their rooms was enormous.
"Then Doctor Zhang, you should rest early. I hope to see an impressive performance from you tomorrow."
With that, the elevator doors closed.
Zhang Hao also nonchalantly carried the meal boxes back to his room.
Upon returning, he discovered that Doctor Liu was in the bathroom taking a shower.
Hearing noise from outside, Doctor Liu immediately stuck his head out of the bathroom.
"You’re back?" Doctor Liu greeted.
Zhang Hao placed the food he bought on the table.
"I’m back. Besides, where else could I go?"
Before his words even finished, Doctor Liu laughed, "I thought you might have gone off to have fun with Miss Gu."
Zhang Hao rolled his eyes at the air: "Doctor Liu, why aren’t you being serious? Hurry up and shower; I want to take one too."
Gu Yue arrived at her room door, pulled out her key card, and with a beep, the door opened.
As soon as the door opened, she heard her sister humming a song in the room.
"To think you’d come back so early," Gu Xing’s voice came from the bathroom.
Gu Yue kicked off her high heels and slipped into cotton slippers.
"I’m back. Where else could I go?"
"I thought you’d be playing with Doctor Zhang until very late before coming back."
"Why are you taking a shower at this time?" Gu Yue asked, opening the bathroom door, to find Gu Xing soaking in the bathtub.
The white foam floating on the water concealed everything else.
"Of course, I’m going to the bar to drink. Do you expect me to stay in and watch TV?" Gu Xing said.
"But we’re here for work. How can you waste all your time playing?" Gu Yue reminded.
Gu Xing turned around, resting her arms on the edge of the bathtub: "Sis, I’m the least scholarly in the Gu family."
"Expecting me to help you with work is really asking too much. Besides, if I leave, won’t you be able to work in peace? If I were beside you, wouldn’t I just be a disturbance?"
Gu Yue shook her head helplessly, knowing her sister was always like this, always unreliable, and she could only depend on herself.
"Fine, just don’t stay out too late."
Gu Xing gave an ’ok’ signal with her hand and continued her bath.
After changing her clothes, Gu Yue looked at herself in the mirror and, for some reason, her thoughts wandered back to the day she fainted at the airport.
She was wearing this white lace lingerie then, wasn’t she? This lingerie cost four thousand a piece.
It was indeed very comfortable to have it on, and it also featured front-hook design.
It could really nicely encompass her semicircular breasts and had a gathering effect too.
After carelessly tying the waistband of her pajamas into a knot, Gu Yue opened the document; the list of personnel went on for over ten pages, and it wasn’t until the last few that she finally found Zhang Hao’s name.
There were others with the same name, but Gu Yue was sure about the hospital he worked at.
The seats at the exchange competition were still arranged according to the hospital’s fame.
The hospital where Zhang Hao worked was ranked relatively low.
As a result, their seats were a bit more secluded, but for personal reasons,
Gu Yue wanted to give him a backdoor advantage—after all, the Gu Family was the organizer of the medical congress.
If not for the Gu Family, there wouldn’t be a congress to begin with.
So, a little bit of personal bias wasn’t excessive.
Moving Zhang Hao and Doctor Liu’s seats forward inevitably meant pushing others back.
But with so many seats in the front row, no one would notice a random swap.
Gu Xing came out of the bath, only wrapped in a white towel.
Although her sister’s body wasn’t as good as hers, she was still a beauty.
According to the popular lingo of the day, such a figure was referred to as "high-end".
Not all clothes are suited for a prominent front and backside.
Gu Xing picked a backless top that was close to the color of wheat, making her look very healthy.
And on her left shoulder was a small peach blossom tattoo.
This was a result of her rebellion during her teenage years, done out of spite.
Luckily, it was just one, not like some who would get a full sleeve or a back covered in tattoos.
This small peach blossom tattoo, instead, added a touch of sexiness to her.
She wore black denim shorts on the bottom, revealing her slender, shapely legs without reserve.
"Xing’er, be careful at the bar dressed like that, you might be taken advantage of."
Gu Xing wiggled her hips at her sister and said, "Sis, if I were worried about being taken advantage of, why would I go to a bar?"
"You know I just went through a breakup not long ago, and the loneliness is hard to dispel, so I have to find some handsome guys to keep me company."
Gu Yue shook her head helplessly and picked up her phone to transfer a few hundred more to her sister.
"Remember to take precautions; if mom and dad find out, they’ll talk to you about it again."
After taking the money, Gu Xing smiled and said, "I’ll make sure they wear condoms. I’m not going to talk to you any longer, I have to go."
Watching her sister skip out of the room, Gu Yue returned to her work.
It was already past ten in the evening when she finished working; the room felt empty.
Suddenly, Gu Yue felt an inexplicable loneliness.
Thinking of her sister, she tried calling her, but the mischievous girl didn’t pick up for ages.
After several attempts, Gu Xing finally answered, only to reveal she was in the restroom of a bar,
engaged in a vigorous encounter with a man.
"Sis, I... It’s not convenient for me to talk right now, I’m about to... I’m almost there."
"Hold on... I’ll call you back later. I might not come home tonight."
Seeing her sister’s flushed face, Gu Yue felt a bit of itch herself.
She wanted to scold her, but the words got swallowed back.
Her sister was no longer a kid and having such needs was only natural.
She simply hung up the video call, and Gu Xing, seeing her sister had ended the call, put her phone back into her bag.
She planted her hands on the lid of the toilet tank, meeting the thrusts of the man behind her.
