Chapter 60: Chapter 60 Stay with Me
Zhang Hao looked at Tu Ya, guessing she must be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old.
There was no ring on her finger, suggesting she was likely still single.
As for the male companion she mentioned on the way here, it’s unknown whether he’s her boyfriend or not.
But when two women cross paths, it’s inevitable for them to show off and compare.
However, Zhang Hao didn’t want to be the sacrificial lamb offered up so casually.
"Ya Ya, I thought you wouldn’t come today. Is this your new boyfriend?"
Tu Ya glanced at Zhang Hao and said, "We’re in touch, but it’s too early to call him my boyfriend, though he has potential."
"I don’t know when I’ll be lucky enough to get married soon and wear a wedding dress."
Her friend chuckled, then looked back and beckoned her husband over with a glance.
"You don’t want to end up like me. I only married him because he was handsome, but he turned out to be a poor guy."
"I suffered with him for two years. Only after I met Wang did I realize what good living means."
"But your little boyfriend is quite good-looking and has a nice body, quite sturdy."
Zhang Hao felt like he didn’t quite fit in at this gathering and would have left early if it weren’t for accompanying Tu Ya.
"Our Ya Ya can be quite a spoiled young lady, you’ll need to be more accommodating with her," the friend added.
Zhang Hao didn’t expect the bride to speak to him, but he nodded and responded politely.
The two women chatted back and forth, with Zhang Hao quickly forgetting what they said.
After finding a seat, Zhang Hao looked at the food in front of him without much appetite.
Tu Ya, on the other hand, settled in comfortably, taking the opportunity to eat since the food was free.
She served Zhang Hao shrimp, fish, chicken legs, and abalone...
In short, she served him a bit of every dish, as if afraid he would hold back.
At some point, the bride and groom suddenly disappeared. Zhang Hao noticed and whispered to Tu Ya,
"Where did your friend go? I just saw them toasting and then, in the blink of an eye, they were gone."
Tu Ya looked around: "They’re probably in the restroom."
She said this with such ease, as if it was not a big deal at all.
Both of them in the restroom at the same time, how interesting.
Zhang Hao took a couple of bites of his food. He hadn’t drunk any wine, but he had drunk water in the afternoon and now felt the need to go to the bathroom.
After excusing himself to Tu Ya, he headed toward the restroom outside the hall.
Upon entering, he immediately heard suspicious sounds coming from inside.
"You old fool, dragging me here on such an auspicious day. Can’t you wait until tonight?" a woman said.
"Wait until tonight? By then, I won’t have the energy. Don’t think I don’t know you," the man replied.
"That little missy Tu brought her boyfriend today, and I can see you’re giving him a different look."
"If I don’t satisfy you today, you just might do something inappropriate," the man added.
After several moans, the woman spoke again, "Don’t talk nonsense, am I that type of person?"
"If you’re not that type of person, how did you end up in my bed initially? Have you forgotten? I swear I won’t let you off today, you wanton woman," the man exclaimed.
Zhang Hao pretended not to hear anything, standing in front of the urinal and starting to relieve himself.
It didn’t take more than a minute. When he came out, he found Tu Ya standing outside.
She looked like she was enjoying the drama, "Did you hear everything?"
Zhang Hao’s face turned red, "I didn’t mean to hear it. Besides, when nature calls, you have to answer, and I didn’t disturb their moment."
Tu Ya appeared unfazed, "My friend is quite adventurous; I bet it won’t take more than two or three years for that uncle to die beneath her pomegranate skirt."
Zhang Hao found Tu Ya’s comment strange and offered no response.
Seeing Tu Ya holding her bag, he guessed she might be thinking of leaving.
As they walked out, Tu Ya added Zhang Hao on WeChat.
No unnecessary words were exchanged—she transferred two thousand yuan to him directly.
"You should take this money," she said.
Zhang Hao, a bit surprised by the amount, responded, "Miss Tu is being too polite. It was just an act for a scene; that amount isn’t necessary. One less zero would suffice."
Zhang Hao intended to return the excess one thousand eight hundred yuan, but Tu Ya refused to take it back.
"If I ever need your help in the future, I hope Doctor Zhang won’t refuse."
After leaving the restaurant, Tu Ya drove Zhang Hao home directly.
As he got out of the car, Tu Ya rolled down the window, "Doctor Zhang, until we meet again."
Just as the car window was about to close, Tu Ya’s phone rang.
When she looked, it was an unknown number, but it was not unusual for her to receive business calls from unfamiliar numbers.
Without hesitation, she answered, and a woman’s voice came through.
Tu Ya was somewhat taken aback, especially since the woman referred to her as Miss Tu!
"May I ask who’s calling?" she inquired.
"Is Zhang Hao with you?" came the question.
Zhang Hao stood beside the car; Tu Ya’s phone call was not on speakerphone.
Yet, he still heard it clearly.
Tu Ya glanced at Zhang Hao standing next to her and casually handed him the phone, "It’s for you."
Zhang Hao took the phone and held it to his ear, "Hello, this is Zhang Hao, who is this...?"
"I’m Zhao Qing. I see now you rejected me because you found a better woman. But are you aware of what she does for a living?" she said.
"I still hope you’ll be selective about the company you keep."
Before Zhang Hao could say a word, the call was disconnected.
Tu Ya leaned against the car seat, her eyes fixed ahead.
"Who was it?" she asked.
"A colleague from the hospital—she confessed her feelings, and I turned her down. She probably saw us together."
Tu Ya turned to regard Zhang Hao, "Would you mind not going home tonight?"
Zhang Hao looked up at his own balcony, darkened, and it seemed his parents weren’t home again that night.
"Where would I go if not home?" he asked.
"To a hotel. Will you accompany me? After hearing those sounds in the washroom, don’t you have any thoughts on the matter?" she proposed boldly.
Tu Ya was very direct, with no beating around the bush.
"Aren’t you afraid of getting the short end of the stick?" Zhang Hao fired back.
"It’s a matter of mutual consent between adults. Plus, what makes you think that I need you to take responsibility for anything? Get in or go home—you have three seconds."
Zhang Hao didn’t need three seconds; he walked around the front of the car and opened the passenger door.
But what Tu Ya did next surprised Zhang Hao greatly.
She unbuttoned the top two buttons of her blouse, and in front of Zhang Hao, she took off her white bra.
Casually, she tossed it onto the back seat, then buttoned up her blouse again.
"Who even invented these things? They’re suffocating to wear all day."
Without the restraint of a bra, Tu Ya’s proud curves showed no change, still perky.
But under the soft fabric of the blouse, those two little cherries soon stood at attention.
The car moved along the broad road, under the intermittent light and shadow of the street lamps, occasionally revealing those two protruding points.
By the time the car reached the hotel’s parking lot and had just turned off the engine, Tu Ya had already moved close to Zhang Hao.
She boldly unfastened her shirt buttons, generously exposing herself.
The red cherries were only an inch away from Zhang Hao’s nose!
"Doctor Zhang, are mine bigger, or are they smaller than your colleague’s, hmm?" she teased provocatively.
