Chapter 319: Chapter 316 Nursing Home

After an intense battle, both were left panting with fatigue.

He Qianhui’s hand seemed to wander uncontrollably around the middle of Zhang Hao’s body.

More importantly, she liked to linger for a moment around the gear stick area.

"It’s gone soft!"

"A touch and it will get hard again."

"You have to work tomorrow, being late wouldn’t be good."

He Qianhui giggled, "You’re really considering my welfare, but I think you’re not quite like before."

Zhang Hao felt he performed well that evening.

"I’ve regressed?"

"Yep, before you were like a little wolf cub, now you get tired after just one or two times. Maybe you need some tonic?"

Zhang Hao sat up abruptly, his gaze serious as he looked at her.

"Are you speaking the truth? How could I have regressed from before?"

"By the way you’re talking, you’re just trying to provoke me," Zhang Hao said, looking clever.

He Qianhui lay on the side and watched him, "Then prove it by going another round."

Zhang Hao chuckled and settled back down.

"I certainly can’t just let you, this little woman, have your way."

But He Qianhui clambered on top of Zhang Hao, and they were tightly pressed together again.

The more it went on, the less Zhang Hao could control himself.

He Qianhui planted a kiss on his chest, then playfully licked the raised nipple with her tongue.

"What’s the matter, am I not attractive enough for you anymore? But I still want more today."

While talking, He Qianhui grabbed Zhang Hao’s hand and placed it on her round buttocks.

"Hurry and feel, is it getting wet again? You need to find a way to stop this leak."

Hearing the seductive words from He Qianhui, Zhang Hao placed his other hand there as well.

Both hands clenched her buttocks firmly, and He Qianhui bit her lip with an expression of enjoyment.

"They say women at thirty are like wolves, forty like tigers."

"I’m even a little afraid now. When I’m thirty, will I still be able to satisfy you?"

He Qianhui, while enjoying herself, replied: "You will, definitely."

"Your capability in that department, I still trust. We’ve got time, let’s go for another round."

Zhang Hao had no way out with He Qianhui: "Alright, I’ll do it with you one more time."

Seeing Zhang Hao agree, He Qianhui quickly took his already soft member, took it into her mouth, and after a few motions, it was hard again.

It was around one in the morning when they finally felt sleepy.

The next morning, He Qianhui had to go to the building materials market and had specifically asked for a day off from the company.

As the company’s top salesperson, her personal needs were always promptly agreed upon by the manager, who even showed concern whether a day off was enough, without docking her pay.

After requesting the day off, He Qianhui prepared to leave.

Zhang Hao casually handed her the car keys: "It’s scorching hot outside today, drive there."

He Qianhui was changing shoes at the doorway: "I haven’t touched the car for a long time, this new car..."

"If I crash it again, won’t you feel sorry for it? I’d better take a taxi."

Zhang Hao finished the bowl of mung bean porridge and saw that there wasn’t much time left.

Picking up his belongings, he went downstairs.

He had just arrived at the hospital when he heard some bad news from surgery.

The patient he had been trying to save yesterday deteriorated rapidly last night.

After two continuous resuscitations, the patient still passed away this morning just after five o’clock.

Upon hearing this news, Zhang Hao was deeply sorrowful inside.

Life is so fragile; it’s a pity about Li Lan, she’s become a widow now.

However, this barely affected Zhang Hao.

He treated it as mere gossip, heard and forgotten.

He still had his own work to get on with.

He arrived at his department and continued with patient consultations.

Hospitals should not be thrown into disarray by the death of a patient after a resuscitation attempt.

Zhang Hao had long been aware of this fact.

That afternoon, Zhang Hao was resting alone in his department.

Suddenly, he received a phone call from his superior.

Telling him that no matter what, he needed to make a private house call that afternoon.

To perform a health checkup for an elderly person.

An elderly person?

Zhang Hao pondered for a moment.

He wondered if the patient was unable to be brought to the hospital.

And that was why he was being asked to go to their home for the checkup—didn’t the hospital have an emergency service? 120 could handle it.

But since it was an order from his superior, Zhang Hao had no right to refuse.

Seeing that the afternoon was not busy, Zhang Hao immediately arranged his schedule.

He then drove himself to the nursing home where the patient resided.

Upon arriving at the nursing home, Zhang Hao was once again puzzled.

This nursing home had its own doctors who regularly came to perform health checkups on the elderly.

Perhaps the doctor assigned to this task was unavailable on short notice, which was why he had been asked to come.

As he was thinking this, he heard a delicate voice coming from a room.

"Grandpa, look, I’ve come all the way here. Please take your medicine. How can you recover without it?"

"Don’t make mom and dad worry about you."

As soon as she finished speaking, the sound of a cup shattering could be heard from inside the room.

"Get out, get out! You’re not going to poison me with these drugs. I’ve been to war, killed people; there’s nothing I’m afraid of."

Upon hearing the commotion from outside, Zhang Hao was somewhat frightened and hesitant to approach.

Shortly after, a girl walked out holding a trash bag.

Tear stains were faintly visible on her face.

That’s when the director of the nursing home arrived.

"Hello, I am the director of this nursing home. You must be Doctor Zhang from Tong’an Hospital."

"Yes, that’s me. Who needs a health checkup?" Zhang Hao asked.

The director smiled and beckoned to the girl, "Zhirou, come here."

Zhirou threw away the trash and quickly approached Zhang Hao.

"This is the doctor who’s going to treat your grandpa. I’ll accompany you in there."

But Zhirou shook her head, "Director, my grandpa’s being stubborn again. He just knocked over his water cup."

"Whoever goes in now will get scolded," said Zhirou, her tone laden with grievances that had no outlet.

"Old people are just like big kids, they need coaxing to take their medicine and see a doctor."

"Even if I get scolded, treatment can’t be delayed. Director, please take me over there."

The director was pleased with Zhang Hao’s attitude and comforted Zhirou with a few kind words before leading them both to the room.

The old man sat in his wheelchair, eyes sharp and fixed on the window outside.

Upon sensing someone entering, he turned his head.

"Mr. Wu, the doctor here is to check your health. Is now a good time?"

As soon as the old man heard this, his expression turned sour.

"My health’s fine, very good. No need for a checkup."

Not even the director had expected to be turned away so bluntly today.

"Sir, I came here specifically for you. You can’t make me defy orders, can you?"

The words "defy orders" sparked a glint in the old man’s eyes.

And surprisingly, he didn’t retort to Zhang Hao.

"You all go out. I’ll be fine here by myself."

A room crowded with people tends to tense the atmosphere.

It’s not conducive to treating patients, but fortunately, the director understood this and took Wu Zhirou out first.

Zhang Hao also opened his portable medical kit.
