Inside the red velvet box lay a ring, glistening with light.
It wasn’t a pair of earrings, nor was it a stud; it was a ring!
"Do you like it?"
Zhang Hao asked again, but at this point, there was no need for He Qianhui to say anything—her expression said it all.
"I like it, I like it very much."
He took the ring from its mount and personally slid it onto He Qianhui’s middle finger.
"Happy birthday. The next ring should be worn on your ring finger."
Underneath the candlelight, the ring on her finger shone exceptionally bright.
"How much did this cost? I’ve seen on the internet that diamonds don’t hold their value, buying one is just a loss."
Zhang Hao now seemed like the worm in He Qianhui’s stomach; he knew exactly what she wanted to say or ask.
"If you feel like you’re at a loss, I’ll return it tomorrow."
Upon hearing this, He Qianhui quickly withdrew her hand.
Now that the ring was on her finger, there was no way she would take it off.

Meanwhile, He Qianhui also arrived at her company, and because she had eaten well the night before, she was in a good mood today as well.
