Chapter 119: Chapter 117 Intern

The woman froze, looking at Zhang Hao with an incredulous expression. The alley was dimly lit; half of her face illuminated while the other half hid in the darkness.

"I meant calling the police, do you still want to?"

Without answering, the woman, seemingly finding strength from nowhere, violently pushed the man away and ran towards Zhang Hao.

Zhang Hao wanted to dodge, but the woman was running too fast and crashed directly into his arms.

"Save me, he’s going to beat me to death."

In a civilized society, Zhang Hao found such an incident unbelievable.

The man also tried to come over, but Zhang Hao glared at him, causing him to back off.

"Fine, fine, fine, you wretched woman! You’ve found yourself a new man. Don’t blame me for not being nice if you don’t come back by tomorrow morning."

The man left in a huff, and the woman also stood up from Zhang Hao’s embrace, taking two steps back to maintain a certain distance.

"Thank you. I apologize for what happened earlier."

The woman became serious. In fact, she was quite alright, it was just that her red dress was too eye-catchingly sexy.

In this kind of place, it was easy to make a mistake.

"Don’t worry about it; I didn’t take it to heart. It’s late; you should find somewhere to rest."

Zhang Hao turned to leave, but the woman stepped forward and called out, "Sir, I..."

She couldn’t bring herself to say the words "I have no money."

Seeing her embarrassed expression, Zhang Hao guessed what she meant: "A good deed should be seen through to the end; send the Buddha off all the way."

Leading the woman to a nearby small hotel, after all, finding her temporary accommodation didn’t require any star rating.

When the woman took out her ID card, Zhang Hao took a glance and realized that she was indeed thirty-five years old.

Her name was Xia Hong!

Giving the keys to Xia Hong, Zhang Hao also thoughtfully went to a nearby diner and brought back a packed meal, not wanting to let her go hungry through the night.

When Zhang Hao returned with the food, he found Xia Hong had already bathed and was sitting on the bed, wiping her long hair still dripping with water with a towel.

"I didn’t know what you like to eat, so I ordered a few dishes at random. I don’t have much cash on me, but five hundred should be enough for you to get by for a few days."

Zhang Hao put down the money and the food, intending to leave right after.

Five hundred yuan would be enough for a carefree night with an escort if one wasn’t picky.

Suddenly, Xia Hong got up, quickly caught up to Zhang Hao, and hugged him from behind.

"Don’t leave, I’m scared."

Her soft, boneless arms encircled Zhang Hao’s waist, tightening continuously.

"If you’re scared, you should call the police, unless he has something on you. But even then, there’s nothing that should completely restrict you."

Xia Hong pressed her face against Zhang Hao’s back, as if she could hear his heartbeat.

"Earlier, my husband wasn’t wrong about one thing in the alley."

Zhang Hao grew curious and immediately asked, "Which thing?"

Xia Hong turned her face in a different direction: "When I saw you, I felt something down there, I need you to satisfy me."

As she spoke, Xia Hong’s hand began to move downward, reaching towards Zhang Hao’s protruding part.

"Miss Xia, we are not suitable!"

There were clear lines in Zhang Hao’s mind between the type of women you could be with and those you must stay away from.

Clearly, Xia Hong was the latter. Even if his desires were rising, he could not allow his resolve to waver.

Struggling free from the tender trap Xia Hong had created, Zhang Hao resolutely opened the door and left.

He stepped outside the hotel, taking in a breath of cool air.

By the time he got home, it was almost one o’clock.

Zhang Hao sighed, feeling the day’s events were absurd, grabbed a shirt, and headed straight for the bathroom.

After a hot shower, he lay on the bed and soon fell into a deep sleep.

By the time he woke up again, it was already 8:30 a.m. the next day, and it looked like he wouldn’t have time to eat breakfast at home.

After spending five minutes washing up, Zhang Hao grabbed his phone and keys, and drove to work.

Ever since he had found a job, this car had become his personal vehicle.

His mom and dad both went to work on little electric scooters.

But for both of them, their workplaces were within walking distance, so using a car seemed like overkill.

Upon arriving at the hospital, Zhang Hao went to his department as usual, ready to start the day’s work.

But by 9:30, Zhao Qing still hadn’t shown up for work.

So he made a phone call to see what was going on.

However, no one answered the phone no matter how many times he called.

This couldn’t help but make Zhang Hao worry—had the words he said last night hurt her so much that she didn’t even want to come to work today?

Not wanting to delay the department’s normal operation, Zhang Hao immediately phoned the leadership.

He asked them to contact other departments to arrange a temporary assistant nurse for his department.

However, his boss had some good news for him.

The hospital was going to take in a few students for internships today, and two of them were studying traditional Chinese medicine.

The boss had already made the wise decision to assign those two female students to Zhang Hao’s department for him to personally supervise.

The boss kept repeating over the phone that they were two young beauties!

Although they were medical students here for an internship, their grades were not bad; studying medicine isn’t just about memorising book knowledge, but also about personal experience.

Zhang Hao didn’t decline his boss’s arrangement, and roughly an hour later, his boss came with the two young interns. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Seeing that Zhang Hao was diagnosing an elderly patient’s pulse, his boss just nodded in acknowledgement.

"There is nothing seriously wrong with your body; you should eat regular meals and have more protein. Avoid alcohol, and come back for a re-examination next week."

After prescribing for the elderly patient, Zhang Hao stood up and approached his boss.

"Mr. Zhang, what do you think of these two?"

Zhang Hao glanced over and said with a smile, "What are you talking about, boss? I’m not the emperor selecting concubines!"

The two female interns were only about twenty-one or twenty-two, their faces full of youthful collagen, very tender-looking.

Zhang Hao was only a few years older than them.

"Let me test you two."

He posed several questions, and both interns responded fluently.

You could tell their book knowledge was solid.

Garnering Zhang Hao’s approval made the two female students very happy.

"My department is not a place for interns to just score points. If your knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine is good, then stay."

The boss also seemed relieved, "Then I’ll leave these two in your hands; don’t be too hard on them."

Zhang Hao frowned, thinking to himself whether he was that kind of person!

As soon as the boss left, the department quieted down suddenly, and the two interns looked at each other, feeling that Mr. Zhang was a bit aloof.

"If you two have anything to say, just say it," Zhang Hao suddenly spoke.

That scared the two interns.

"Mr. Zhang, we didn’t say anything. We just think you’re really handsome. Before coming here, we thought the head of the Chinese medicine department would be a fifty or sixty-year-old uncle."

Zhang Hao turned his head to look at the two of them, young and growing into such beauties.

Especially their figures, curvaceous and well-defined.

"You both look great, real beauties. Just remember not to think about things unrelated to work while you’re at work."
