Chapter 117: Chapter 115 Ready to Accompany at Any Time

"My name is Li Jun, I work in the finance industry, so if you ever need any advice on wealth management, feel free to reach out to me anytime," he said.

He Qianhui responded with a smile, though her movements were careful, even so far as to say guarded and uncomfortable.

Li Jun took note of the room’s layout at a glance and realized that there seemed to be no man’s belongings.

Things like ashtrays or lighters, for instance.

This led Li Jun to wonder if the woman really lived here with her husband.

He Qianhui’s phone rang, signaling that the locksmith had arrived.

"The locksmith is here, you can go home now."

Li Jun hurriedly took a sip of water, grabbed his briefcase, and rose to walk toward the door, glancing at the bathroom as he opened it.

A lady’s lotus-pink underwear was hanging there, freshly washed.

"I really have to thank you today, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to get home."

After Li Jun left, He Qianhui finally relaxed her tensed nerves and locked the door behind him.

There was a nagging feeling that letting Li Jun in so hastily might lead to some trouble down the line.

But what exactly that trouble could be, He Qianhui couldn’t say just yet; her suspicion came entirely from a woman’s intuition.

Now at last, she could enjoy some peace and quiet. He Qianhui returned to her bed, picked up her phone, and casually started a movie to kill time.

The movie had only reached the halfway point when He Qianhui’s eyes began to droop, and in her dreams, she saw Zhang Hao.

But dreams hardly ever play out the way one wishes; each time, she woke up just at the crucial moment.

This time was no different. When He Qianhui awoke, it was still dark outside. She picked up her phone to check the time.

It was only four in the morning, but dawn wasn’t far off. However, He Qianhui’s body began to feel uncomfortable in an uncontrollable manner.

Her hand slipped between her legs, rubbing back and forth over her thin panties, which were promptly soaked through.

He Qianhui spread her legs wide and pushed the soaked panties aside, realizing after a few moments that they were too much of a nuisance.

Lifting her hips, she hooked her thumb around the edge of her panties and deftly slipped them off. Freed from the restraint, He Qianhui’s movements with her hand became indulgent.

"Hao, harder, fuck me dead, don’t stop!"

"So good, so comfortable, keep going, harder."

Her mind was filled with images of Zhang Hao earnestly at work, and He Qianhui’s body finally reached its peak. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

After her body collapsed from exhaustion, He Qianhui picked up her phone, estimating Zhang Hao was probably asleep by now.

She tapped out a few random characters and sent them off. Dragging her weary body, He Qianhui then headed to the bathroom to take a shower.

She had just taken off her clothes when her phone chimed. He Qianhui quickly walked over to check it from the edge of the bed.

It was a reply from Zhang Hao.

He had replied with just one word: "Slut!"

With that single word, He Qianhui felt warmth between her legs again, as if the desire she had just released flared back to life in an instant.

Zhang Hao responded to the message and then went back to sleep. When he awoke again, it was already eight in the morning.

Heading to work at nine and getting up at eight, he didn’t remember much of what he’d said in his half-awake state.

But he vaguely remembered that his sister-in-law had sent a message. While brushing his teeth and washing his face, Zhang Hao picked up his phone to have a look.

He choked on a mouthful of toothpaste foam when he saw the message he himself had sent.

The message was sent three hours ago, and it was impossible to take it back now.

However, Zhang Hao wasn’t concerned, it was not like it was sent to someone else.

He finished washing up and went straight to the hospital; no sooner had he sat down than patients began arriving for treatment, and his busy day kicked off.

It wasn’t until the sun had set that he finally had a moment to drink some water, and even then, Zhao Qing’s legs were trembling from exhaustion.

"Now that the hospital suddenly has so many patients, the workload has doubled. Why don’t you submit a request to the leadership to arrange for another nurse?"

In the entire hospital, he was the only traditional Chinese medicine doctor, and a handsome one at that, but there was no one to help Zhang Hao with the treatment.

However, someone could help with Zhao Qing’s work to share the burden.

"Why don’t you talk directly to the leaders, why do you need me to do it?"

"You’re the head of the department; your word carries more weight than mine. You might be able to arrange it right away."

Even if it could be arranged right away, it would still have to wait until tomorrow.

Zhang Hao lifted his wrist to check his watch. He was supposed to get off work at six, and now it was already seven thirty.

"Think about it tonight, decide who you’d like to bring to our department, and I’ll talk to the leadership tomorrow."

After shutting down his computer, Zhang Hao changed clothes and prepared to leave work for home.

No sooner had he left the hospital than Zhao Qing proposed they have dinner together; Zhang Hao found it hard to refuse and agreed.

Zhao Qing didn’t pick any of the nearby restaurants, feeling they somewhat lacked class, and instead drove around the city center for a while until she found one that was to her satisfaction.

While awaiting their food, Zhao Qing hesitated to speak, her gaze drifting over Zhang Hao, then away, and back again.

"If you’ve got something to say, just say it. Don’t look at me like I’m some sort of monkey."

"Alright, I was wondering what you think of me?"

The question had an implied meaning, and Zhang Hao dared not answer carelessly. After pretending to ponder for a while, he said, "You’re quite nice. Why do you ask all of a sudden?"

Zhao Qing swirled the drink in front of her, the words right on the tip of her tongue, yet she couldn’t bring herself to speak them.

"I mean, maybe the two of us could give it a try. I don’t want our relationship to remain ambiguous."

Was this a confession? Zhang Hao wondered.

"What sort of relationship do we have?" Zhang Hao countered, but after speaking, he quickly added, "Aren’t we just colleagues? How is that ambiguous?"

Zhao Qing slammed her drink down on the table with a thud, producing a dull sound.

"Zhang Hao, are you playing dumb with me? There’s been something between us, and you want to leave it at that?"

Zhang Hao leaned back with a smile. "It was consensual, so there’s no need to make it such a big deal. Didn’t you enjoy it then?"

Zhao Qing closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

"I did enjoy it, which is why I want to be the only one to enjoy it. I don’t want you to become involved with other women."

"I don’t care about your past, but if you agree to be with me, you can’t have close contact with other women."

Although Zhang Hao was not a playboy, he felt this demand was somewhat unfair.

Zhao Qing’s family was wealthy, and countless men wanted to marry into her family as a son-in-law.

But Zhang Hao had his pride; he didn’t plan to stabilize his career through connections from marriage.

Therefore, a woman like Zhao Qing didn’t stand out much in his eyes.

"It seems this dinner has turned into a Banquet at Hongmen. Fortunately, I’ve not had much of an appetite these past couple of days, so I won’t be eating."

"Still, thanks for the invite." Having said that, Zhang Hao got up and left in a carefree manner.

Zhao Qing sprung to her feet abruptly and shouted in front of the other customers in the restaurant.

"Zhang Hao, after all is said and done, you think you can just walk away without taking responsibility."

Zhang Hao, who was nearly at the door, stopped in his tracks, turned back to look at Zhao Qing, and said, "If you ever need someone, I’m always available."
