Chapter 109: Chapter 108: A Romantic Encounter on a Trip
"Doctors aren’t machines; they should have their own personal lives. I’ve even been with Doctor Zhang before, does that mean I should also..."
Zhang Hao had thought Gu Xing would pressure with her status, but unexpectedly, she began to reveal her own secrets. Seizing the moment before things got too serious, he hurriedly covered her mouth.
However, the leader already had an inkling, having been curious why the Gu Family was so favorable towards Zhang Hao.
They even went so far as to provide the hospital with so many perks, all because of Zhang Hao’s own merits.
"Miss Gu, while that may be true, it still has an impact. The hospital is considering this for Doctor Zhang’s sake, to prevent rumors from disturbing him."
Gu Xing removed Zhang Hao’s hand, shot him a glare, her eyes clearly saying, I’m speaking for you and you’re still interfering, are you out of your mind?
Zhang Hao took a deep breath and said, "I’ve been a bit tired these days, so I’ll take a couple days off and come back to work next Monday."
Having said that, Zhang Hao took off his white coat and walked away.
Watching him leave like that, Gu Xing was furious and chased after him.
"Zhang Hao, stop right there."
Zhang Hao turned back and looked at her with a smile, "Oh, you came out too."
Gu Xing crossed her arms over her chest, "I’m speaking up for you, how can you not appreciate it? It’s like casting pearls before swine."
"I’m tired from seeing patients every day. The hospital didn’t suspend me, just asked me to get some rest. Why wouldn’t I agree?"
Gu Xing felt Zhang Hao seemed a bit different, becoming so nonchalant...
"Forget it, you can say whatever you want; I have urgent matters today and don’t want to waste time with you."
Seeing her wave her hand, Zhang Hao nodded as well and headed towards the hospital parking lot.
Truth be told, Zhang Hao wasn’t Gu Xing’s type; she preferred men with a bit of roguish charm, unlike her sister.
On her way back, Gu Xing briefly brought up Zhang Hao’s ordeal to Gu Yue.
Gu Yue, in the conference room, became involuntarily worried about Zhang Hao upon receiving her sister’s message.
She wasn’t focusing on the employee’s report, instead she searched for Zhang Hao’s name in the contact list and sent him a message.
Ever since the communication conference ended, the two of them had barely been in touch.
Zhang Hao, driving, couldn’t easily respond to messages, so he called Gu Yue directly.
The meeting couldn’t be interrupted, and with Gu Shengsen listening in, Gu Yue didn’t dare to answer the phone in front of her father.
After quickly hanging up, she pretended as if nothing had happened.
Zhang Hao was puzzled when the call was hung up, so he pulled over to the side of the road and sent Gu Yue a confused emoticon.
"I’m in a meeting, Sisi told me about your situation, are you alright?"
Zhang Hao suddenly felt Gu Xing was quite the blabbermouth, thinking such a minor incident wasn’t even worth mentioning.
"I’m fine, just on a two-day leave. Don’t worry about me."
No sooner had he sent the message when a notification popped up on his phone; clicking it, he saw a travel app offer.
Zhang Hao glanced at it and thought it was time for a trip, so he signed up.
He went home to pack his bags, and headed to the airport early the next morning to meet up.
Boarding the plane, finding his seat, and making sure everything was correct, he sat down.
Even though his cousin’s trouble wasn’t too serious, Zhang Hao still felt somewhat restless inside.
With some time before takeoff, Zhang Hao stood up to go to the restroom. When he returned, he found a woman sitting in his seat.
"Hey, bro, could you switch seats with me? Mine is by the window, and it’s really nice."
Zhang Hao didn’t mind, he nodded in agreement, ready to gather his things, but the woman spoke up to stop him.
"My seat is right here; I want to sit next to my sister."
Zhang Hao looked toward the seat near the aisle and also saw a pink canvas backpack. He sidled over to the window seat and sat down.
After adjusting the angle of his seat, another girl came back. Zhang Hao caught a glimpse of her with the corner of his eye and realized both girls were really pretty.
They might even be little internet celebrities.
While the two girls were busy taking selfies with their phones, Zhang Hao politely distanced himself to avoid getting in the frame.
"Handsome, could you help us take a picture?"
The girl asked, handing her phone to Zhang Hao.
Helping out with a simple task, Zhang Hao was happy to oblige.
Before taking the picture, the girls adjusted their hairstyles and pulled down on their tops, making their already generous necklines even more revealing.
Zhang Hao coughed, wanting to give a reminder, but one of the girls actually made a motion as if lifting her chest.
"All set now, handsome, please take the picture."
After snapping a few shots, Zhang Hao thought they turned out pretty good, the girls were quite photogenic.
Returning the phone, Zhang Hao turned to look out the window. The shuttle had already left; the plane was about to take off.
The moment the plane took off, a hand frantically grasped Zhang Hao’s well-muscled arm.
Slim nails dug into the flesh, but fortunately, Zhang Hao had a high tolerance for pain; anyone else probably would have cried out.
Once the plane had ascended, the girl let go of his arm. She saw the marks left on Zhang Hao’s arm and repeatedly bowed in her seat, apologizing profusely.
With every bow, the scenery down her neckline blossomed once again.
This was a long flight, and by the time they landed, Zhang Hao had already woken up from a nap.
Coming off the plane, Zhang Hao followed the tour group onto the bus, only to find the two girls also boarding the bus, sitting right beside him.
Having two beautiful girls for company made the other men on the bus envious.
But the other men weren’t half as handsome as Zhang Hao, so it was no wonder the beauties didn’t gravitate toward them.
Zhang Hao covered his face with a hat, mainly because the sun was too glaring. After all, today was just for traveling; the real fun would start tomorrow.
The bus jostled along, and the bumpy ride made Zhang Hao uncomfortable. The beauties sitting on either side of him leaned in unknowingly.
He could feel the softness against his arms. When Zhang Hao lifted his hat to take a look, he was in for a surprise!
The girl had managed to fall asleep in the moving vehicle, and her ample "bunnies" were resting on his arm.
With every jolt of the bus, they bounced, making it dizzying to watch.
Zhang Hao was no scoundrel. He coughed, and the girl woke up startled, realizing they were too close and quickly apologized.
The awkwardness finally ended when the bus stopped at the hotel entrance.
Dragging his suitcase, Zhang Hao followed the group to check in and headed straight to his room with his key card to rest.
The girls also got their room cards and chuckled on their way up the elevator.
"Sisi, you’re something else, getting all worked up over a handsome guy. That young man didn’t dare to move the whole trip."
"Pretending to be so demure, but those muscles on him are to die for. I can’t even imagine how amazing it would be with him. I also wonder what floor he’s staying on, hopefully next door."
As the elevator doors opened, the girls returned to their composed selves.
Zhang Hao counted the room numbers down the hallway, searching for his own.
The girls spotted Zhang Hao and felt a rush of excitement; despite nothing having happened, they both felt their cheeks warm and their hearts race.
Unaware of their reaction, Zhang Hao found his room and went in.
The girls, lugging their luggage, also found their rooms—fate seemed to really favor them.
Their room was right across from Zhang Hao’s!
