Chapter 645: I’m Your Husband, Christian

"No, the person you love the most is not Michael." The hypnotist’s tone had turned dominant. "Michael is your enemy. He wants to break you and your husband up.

"He even wants you to lose you and your husband’s child.

"He only sees you as an object and has done many things to hurt you.

"But you do not love him... You hate him so much and want to see him dead."

"Husband?" Wendy was completely confused at the moment and could only ask, "Who is my husband?"

"Your husband is the person you love the most..." the hypnotist carefully enunciated each word.

"The person I love most is my husband?" Wendy furrowed her brows. "Who is the person I love the most? Just who is it?"

"The person you love the most is Christian..." the hypnotist said. "Open your eyes and see, in front of you is your most beloved husband."

Wendy fought hard to open her eyes, wanting to see how her so-called husband looked like.

But no matter how hard she focused her eyes, she could not see clearly and could only see a blurry silhouette.

However, it was no ordinary silhouette. It was one etched in Wendy’s mind.

The hypnotist gave Wendy some time to let her remember how Christian looked.

Thereafter, the hypnotist even let Christian say a few words.

Christian looked at Wendy and said seriously, "Wendy, I’m Christian Lucas. I’m your husband. You’re pregnant with our child. Look at me carefully. I’m your husband, Christian..." The hypnotist had let Christian speak at this time to make Wendy remember Christian’s voice.

"Husband, Christian..." Wendy nodded slowly.

The hypnotist saw that the time was almost up and said to Wendy, "Do you still remember the first time you and your husband Christian met?"

"I met him... at school..." As Wendy was in a daze, a scene emerged in hermind.

In the scene, it was when she had first met Michael.

Wendy continued to speak, "That time, he came to our school for a speech. I’ve never believed in love at first sight, but after seeing him, I fell in love with him instantly. But afterward... afterward..." Wendy had a pained expression on her face.

"What happened next?" the hypnotist hurriedly asked.

"He didn’t fall in love with me. He was in love with that woman called... called..." Wendy could not remember anything about that woman.

"No, the woman he loved the most is you," the hypnotist said. "Have you forgotten?

He has done many things for you before. Can you still recall the most notable one?"

"In order to save me, he shot himself without hesitation," Wendy said as she fought hard to recall.

"Yes, in order to save you, he completely disregarded his own life. He really extremely loves you," the hypnotist said.

"He extremely loves me..." Wendy repeated.

"Who extremely loves you?" the hypnotist asked.

"My husband extremely loves me..."

"Who is your husband?"

"My husband is Christian Lucas..." Wendy mumbled the name.

"Yes, your husband is Christian Lucas. He loves you, and you love him too," the hypnotist emphasized.

...

At the moment, Wendy was completely at a loss and was repeating what the hypnotist had said.

The pearl waving in front of her eyes made her dizzy.

"You hate Michael. You want to forget everything related to him. Now, pass your will to me and obey my words..." the hypnotist said.

Wendy nodded and said, "Okay."

"You and Michael have had many painful memories. He had wanted to kill you and your husband.

"This part of your memories is extremely painful. Now, you need to forget everything related to him." The hypnotist began to introduce fake memories to Wendy, "This time, he has found you and even abducted you. You and your unborn child have almost died in his hands.

"In order to save you, your husband Christian disregarded himself and barged into Michael’s territory. Michael even tried to beat him, but Christian saved you.

"Your husband barely lived and had his life on the line, but he couldn’t let you and the child down, so he endured through it.

"As for you, because Michael had injected you with a medicine that causes memory loss, you no longer remember many things clearly. But you remember who the person you love the most..." Christian made the hypnotist say all these things to Wendy.

"The person I love the most is my husband, Christian..." Wendy clearly remembered this name after being hypnotized.

"Yes, Christian." The hypnotist nodded satisfactorily.

The next 30 minutes was spent with the hypnotist was enforcing these memories in Wendy.

However, Wendy could not take it anymore and faint.

Seeing that Wendy had collapsed, Christian instantly went up to check on her and asked worriedly, "What’s going on?"

"It’s okay. Don’t worry. She’s just unconscious," the hypnotist assured him. "Just some rest and she’ll be fine."

Christian heaved a sigh of relief.

Thereafter, he asked the bodyguards to unfasten the handcuffs on Wendy’s wrists, then he personally carried her and placed her on the bed.

He tucked Wendy in.

The hypnotist waited for Christian’s instructions.

Christian walked out of Wendy’s room quietly and the people behind him followed him out.

Once the door was closed, Christian saw Zen limping.

She had just walked two steps when she fell to the floor.

"Christian, what did you do to Wendy?" Zen asked anxiously.

Christian shot her a cold glance. Afraid that she would disturb Wendy, he held her by the neck with one hand and dragged her forcefully to the side.

Christian only let go of her when she was dragged far from Wendy’s room.

"What did you do to her?" Seeing that Christian was silent, Zen became scared.

Christian shot Zen a glance, seemingly warning her.

Then he said coldly, "I had her hypnotized. When she wakes up, she’ll only remember that I’m her husband."

"You..." Zen expected this, but she didn’t realize that Christian would really go that far.

"What’s wrong with me?" Christian laughed as he said.

"You’re evil!" Zen said, gritting her teeth.

"As if that would hurt. I’ve been called that too many times," Christian said, shaking his head.

Tears welled in Zen’s eyes. She felt useless. She couldn’t do anything to help Wendy.

...

"Christian, why are you doing this?" Zen spoke once again after being quiet for a while. "Wendy doesn’t love you at all. You think she’ll love you once you have her hypnotized? In time, she’ll eventually remember things."

"Are you also going to say that you’ll help her remember things?" Christian chuckled, shaking his head.

Zen had indeed thought of doing so.

She would tell Wendy about everything. She could not let her suffer such lies from Christian.

It was a shame that Christian had seen through her thoughts.

Christian said, "Don’t worry, you won’t remember either."

Hearing Christian’s words, Zen stepped backward.

Christian had previously said that he would have her hypnotized as well.

Initially, Zen thought that he was just trying to scare her.

After all, Christian did not care about whether Zen loved him or hated him.

But it now seemed that Christian was covering his bases.

In the next second, Zen turned and ran, wanting to escape. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Unfortunately, her injuries slowed her.

She was quickly caught.

Zen was thrown on the sofa, and the bodyguards cuffed her hands behind her back.

She raised her head to look at Christian and said in fear, "Christian, you’re really evil! Let us go!"

"No, I can’t," Christian said coldly.

Zen’s tears streamed down her face.

She struggled, but with her hands cuffed, she could not move at all.

"Why, Christian? Why are you doing this? Why do you want us to forget the past and only remember the things that you want us to remember?

"You’re delusional! Wendy isn’t in love with you. She’ll never be. How low could you go?

"Now, Wendy’s an empty shell, without a soul, with feelings controlled by you. Is this what you really want?" Zen tried to make Christian see reason.

However, Christian would have none of it.

Christian’s eyes sank slightly. Looking at Zen who was still injured, a smile formed on his lips. "I just want Wendy to fall in love with me, regardless of whether she’s an empty shell, without a soul... I don’t care."

Christian’s love for Wendy had turned into an obsession.

He only wanted to make Wendy love him, and he would stop at nothing for it.

Seeing her words had fallen into deaf ears, Zen knew that she had no way of convincing Christian.

Shutting her eyes, Zen took a deep breath and said hopelessly, "Alright, if you really want us hypnotized, then I beg you to make me forget you."

"Forget me?" Hearing that, Christian clenched his fists.

"You don’t love me, neither do you care how I feel about you. You’ve already had hypnotized Wendy, so letting me forget you should be a good thing to you," Zen said. "But you must still hope to see me and Wendy fighting over you after we’re hypnotized."

If hypnosis could make her forget Christian, or forget that she had loved him, then this would be a good thing for Zen.

She did not want to remember the least bit of anything related to Christian.

Hearing Zen’s words, Christian did not say anything, pondering about something.

"Wendy is pregnant, and both she and I are here. If you had let me love you still, then I would have done something bad to her to keep you to myself. If you don’t want Wendy to be harmed, making me forget you is the best choice," Zen said.
