Chapter 605: She’s Even More Gentle and Caring Than Usual
Seeing his daughter being so sensible, Michael bowed his head happily and kissed her on the cheek.
"Daddy is already an adult, how did you fall down?" Leah said concernedly, "You should be more careful!"
"I know." Michael reached out and tenderly squeezed Leah’s cute little cheeks.

Jake joined him. He stood on tiptoe and watched the video together with Michael.
The video from the second of June was normal. Wendy waited for her turn in the clinic, then left the hospital when the checkup was over.
In the surveillance footage from that afternoon, "Wendy" started retching soon after entering the Gynecology Clinic. There was no more footage of her after she ran into the washroom.

"Daddy, Jake, it’s time to eat," Leah called out from outside, breaking his train of thought.
With a small sigh, Michael looked at Leah and said, "Let’s eat."
Getting up with the help of his crutch, Michael hobbled out slowly.
Seeing as Michael seemed to be having a lot of difficulty moving, Jake hesitated for a bit before reaching out to help him along.
Although Jake didn’t help much, Michael was touched by his son’s concern. A smile broke out on his face.
The boy had been very upset with him ever since Wendy’s accident.
It was already an improvement that he was willing to give Michael a hand.
"Thank you, Jake," Michael said with a smile.
"I was just worried that you would have to go to the hospital again if you fall in the house and reopen your wound," Jake said, his expression serious. "Also, you have to watch out for Mummy and find out if she’s hiding anything from us. It’s best if there’s nothing, but if there is, I hope you will help her deal with it."
"I have to help my wife." Michael reached out and caressed Jake’s head.
Jake was put off by Michael patting his head and grumped, "Don’t touch my head "Okay, okay. I won’t touch you." Michael grinned and withdrew his hand.
Michael and Jake thought "Wendy" was behaving a little strangely that day but it never occurred to them that she might not be Wendy.
After all, the person who was with them looked exactly like Wendy and sounded exactly like Wendy. Under such circumstances, no one would wonder if she really was Wendy.
However, "Wendy" was indeed unlike her usual self recently and Michael intended to have a chat with her that night about it.
