Chapter 423: This Feeling Was Not Pleasant At All
Hearing what Michael said, Yonina chuckled.
"What? Are you not satisfied? A doctor is not suitable?" Michael frowned and asked.
"I’m laughing at you, Mr. Lucas. You are so quick to introduce me to someone."
Yonina then added, "I was just suggesting. Even if I want to fall in love, now isn’t a good time. It’s a critical time for us now to go against Christian. Once we settle this, you can introduce me to him."
"By then, I can’t promise he will still be single. Since he’s so successful." Michael purposefully said.
"Well, that will just show that we are not meant to be." Yonina sighed.
At this point, she really was not in the mood to fall in love.
Michael also didn’t force her on this.

"In the past few days, did you manage to contact Wendy? How is she?" Yonina started to ask.
"Nope." Michael shook his head.
Speaking of Wendy, Michael’s expression turned sullen.
He knew that Wendy was hospitalised.

Michael nodded his head and agreed with Yonina.
However, being unable to contact Wendy, Michael couldn’t help but worry still.
"’I went over to check on Christian yesterday. He isn’t doing great these days. Due to the HG incident, his bid proposal was not selected and he looks super haggard now." Yonina then continued, "Now, he is rushing around trying to delay the bidding process. I just wanted to check with you, when can we take over his bidding case?"
"Now is not the right time." Talking about work, Michael turned serious and said, "HG’s situation will not deteriorate any further. Wendy’s plan is not fulfilled yet. We still have to wait several days. For Christian’s side, even if he managed to get his proposal selected, without sufficient capital, he won’t be able to start the project as well. Hence, the first amount of money he is investing into this project can be considered a gift to us in the future when we eventually take over. So, let’s just wait a couple more days till we hear from Wendy."
"Okay!" Yonina has complete trust in both Michael and Wendy and she nodded readily.
After a moment of silence, Yonina asked, Well, if Christian don’t get selected?"
"I understand him too well, he will never give up such a good opportunity. Even if he were to give up HG, he would still do his best for this project." Michael said firmly.
"Why?" Yonina was confused and didn’t understand.
"That is because, all along, his target has always been me..." Michael sighed and said, "To Christian, he has always wanted to defeat me. This project is his biggest opportunity to do so, hence he won’t give up."

Wendy was in a coma this time due to exhaustion and inadequate rest for several days.

On the day of discharge, Todd and Rosa came to pick Wendy up.
Timothy was also there.

Woods has booked it two days in advance, waiting for you to dine out together after your discharge."
"I just left the hospital and cannot have greasy food. I am fine with going home and asking Zess to cook for me." Wendy still refused.
"It is not greasy. The restaurant also serves many bland diets there," Timothy said, "I know you cannot eat anything greasy after discharge, so I found this restaurant."

Then she turned around to get into the car.
Rosa gave Todd a look begging for help.

Wendy nodded and said thanks.

Wendy did not look at Timothy. She deliberately turned her gaze away and moved the wine glass aside. "I will substitute fruit juice for wine and drink a toast to Mrs.
Woods. Thank you for believing me from start to finish."

"Not only do I believe in you, we all believe in you." Rosa smiled. "You can ask Todd if you don’t believe me."
Rosa threw the words to Todd, expecting him to say something to help.

He smiled and said, "Yes, we all believe in you. HG Enterprise has been prospering all these years because of you. How could you betray the company? Rosa and Timothy glanced at each other. Timothy smiled with his face but was already annoyed within himself.
"Yes, now HG Enterprise cannot live without you at all. My suspicion of you is reckless indeed.
