Chapter 9: RANON LEIGHTON IS IN HER HOME
The email address, to which River sent him a message, was not his main. The security around it was so weak that it could be accessed easily. And if it was not for the sender's email address that caught Ranon's eyes, he wouldn't have noticed it quickly.
"Cinnamonroll?" Ranon had never seen an email address as ridiculous as this one, but it intrigued him to open it and find River's message. It took him a while to figure out who the sender was and it surprised him that the IP address came from the Rose family. "Interesting."
Ranon found this very intriguing, since he wondered how a demure daughter from the Rose family would be able to get such top tier information, something that not everyone could get their hands on. Was it legit? However, why would she lie and why would she tell him?
Ranon drew the conclusion that Hazel and Dylan didn't work together. It was very absurd to think they worked together if that woman chose this path. More so, he had not yet received any calls from Dylan Rose about Ranon's 'assault' on his sister.
It was late at night, indeed, but it wouldn't stop Dylan Rose to contact him. But he didn't... which meant that he didn't have any ammunition to go against Ranon.
Based on that, a second meeting with that woman was needed. Ranon started to type his reply. An exchange of information. He clicked 'send' and waited for her reply.
However, Ranon Leighton didn't get the reply that he expected for a whole two weeks, which made him frown, refreshing the email over and over again in his free time, but there was none from that ridiculous email address.
"It's the same, Ranon." Ares looked desperate, because Ranon had been demanding the same thing over and over again. "At this point, you know her better than her two older brothers."
Ares had dug so deep for the information about Hazel Rose, with the same result. By this time, they knew what color Hazel liked and all of her medical history down to what food she liked to eat, her hobbies, her habits and who her friends were, which actually she had none.
"What is it? You fell for her?" Lucian made this comically shocking expression, which earned him the wrath of the young businessman.
"Seriously, there is nothing more. There is no hidden information, no secret identity. And for your information, our man said she didn't even get out of her room in the last two weeks."
Ranon gave him a cold look and after all information that Ares and Lucian conveyed to him, his only response was; "Find out more."
Lucian and Ares groaned, but in Ranon's opinion, if that woman could get out of the hotel room without being caught by CCTV cameras, she could do the same thing in her own house, sneaking out without anyone noticing it.
Who the hell was this woman actually?
Meanwhile, the woman that had been bothering Ranon Leighton and had occupied his mind for the last two weeks, which would make any women go insane if they learned about this, was actually having some desired alone time in her bedroom, planning everything for her revenge against Aubrey and Arlo or anyone, who involved that night.
River didn't go out of her bedroom unless it was necessary and after her warning that night, Logan didn't really dare to openly bully her. He made snide remarks here and there, but they didn't bother River at all, he could bark as much as he wanted.
As for Dylan...
That man was very cold. He wore his mask really well, there was no expression on his face whatsoever, even though he was the mastermind behind such a huge plot against Ranon Leighton.
If Ranon didn't send her the email about that information, River wouldn't have suspected him at all, seeing how calm he was after using his own sister in such a horrendous plot. There was no remorse or guilt when he looked River in the eyes.
"So, my body has not been found yet?" River mumbled to herself, she lied down on her bed. These must be the most peaceful, unproductive two weeks in her whole life.
She didn't do anything, but sleep, stalk, gather information and eat.
River had not even taken a bath for two days. Probably, this was a sign of depression, but then nobody checked on her either. This was the reason why she was still in this house, instead of moving out like her original plan.
Someone knocked on the door when River was thinking about the event that Arlo would attend. Her intention was to go to the same event. But as Hazel Rose, it would be a little bit complicated.
"Come in," River said lazily, she didn't move from her bed, staring at the ceiling.

"Ms. Hazel, this is your food," a maid said, she put down a bag of food on the table.
"You can go now." River waved her hand impatiently, she didn't want to be bothered. She started to order food deliveries because she caught Logan having sex with one of the maids in the kitchen and she felt disgusted to think that they would prepare food on that same table.
"Oh, Ms. Hazel, Mr. Dylan called you to meet him in his office."
"Why?" River didn't like this. She didn't want to meet with anyone.
"I don't know." The maid then added. "Someone came. I think that person is the one who wants to see you."
"Who is that?" River tilted her head to look at her now. She was sure that Hazel was not that important until someone wanted to see her in private.
"He is Mr. Leighton. Ranon Leighton." The maid was still young, she blushed when she mentioned his name. Of course, working for the Rose family allowed her to learn about a few important figures.
"Ranon Leighton... in this house?!" River sat down immediately.
