"Theo! Theo! Theo!"
Every time this girl cried out Theo’s name, he felt as if some sort of force was knocking at a barrier spreading around his soul that he didn’t even know about.
It was a weird feeling, as if this girl’s voice alone was enough to string his whole consciousness along, forcing it on the strangely emotional path.
’This clearly isn’t our first meeting,’ gritting his teeth, Theo thought, not exactly sure how he was supposed to react.
’At the very least, she doesn’t seem to be out for my blood,’ he summarized his current situation before taking a breath as he chased aside all his thoughts, hard-resetting his mind to reboot it and thus start with the simple procedure of waking up.
First, his surroundings.
Right now, Theo was pinned down to the metal grate of a bridge that was barely submerged into his moat, resulting in his clothes slowly soaking in the water. He was pinned by the body of this weirdly familiar girl while she continued to cry and sob on top of him.
Unable to move, Theo could only use the manual aiming mechanism of his guns to scout the area around himself, confirming that while no one else dared to approach the two of them directly, the girl’s men were already gathering near the edge of the forest.
’They seem like they are not sure if they are supposed to intervene or not…’
Theo pressed his lips together, taking a quick mental note of the situation before moving on.
’I don’t feel like I’m wounded. Not even that residual pain from my shoulder is there anymore. If anything…’
As the realization dawned on him, Theo gulped down his saliva as he suddenly found a whole new angle for why his current situation was problematic.
For now that he focused on the signals given to him by his body… how could he not notice the pleasant softness of the girl on top of him? Her smell only made more intense by her sweat? The adorable way in which she squirmed all over him, sparking up this insane desire to just close his arms around her back and bring her up into a protective hug where she could safely cry her sorrows out…
Or how her loosening her armor earlier and then dropping the two of them directly into the water now made it all the easier for Theo to directly feel every tiniest move of her curves now pressed against him!
"First of all…" taking a moment to gather his strength, Theo gritted his teeth before taking the risk and grabbing the girl’s waist before pushing her away.
To say that Theo was desperate to free himself from her hold would be an understatement.
For now that he felt her all over his body, now that she forcefully barged into his personal space and left him no other choice but to acknowledge there were now other humans in Theo’s place of exile…
Now that Theo’s mindset that he developed to just ignore his loneliness rather than trying to cope with it was broken, how could he not notice all of the things that his poor, lonely ass from back on Earth could never really relish in?
"No!"
The girl thwarted Theo’s attempt to push her off by tightening her embrace around him, sticking to him like some sort of scared child.
"If I let you go, you will just vanish again!"
The girl’s cries only intensified. And while that meant Theo’s failure at freeing himself from her grasp… she said it just loud enough for her men to get the memo and retreat deeper into the forest.
Not far enough to be unable to jump in to help her if the need arose, but just far enough to give Theo and the girl a sense of feeble privacy.
"Get off me."
Rather than trying to force the girl off himself with the power of his own hands, Theo simply breathed out… and then spoke in the coldest of voices he could produce.
There was no hint of anger, happiness, embarrassment, or any other emotion one could feel in such weird circumstances.
Just the cold, flat order.
And, against all odds, those few three words first made the girl tense up… before she obediently relaxed her arms and pulled back, raising her upper body so that rather than pinning his entire body flat against the bridge, she merely kept his hips down by sitting on them. "Theo…"
By now, the girl’s face was a total and complete mess. Yet, even with tears and snot smeared all over her facial features, her eyes…
Her eyes had this strange, distant sense of absolute determination.
Yet, as interesting as it was to just watch this weird girl, Theo wasn’t comfortable with some unknown redhead riding his hips after making the two of them thoroughly wet.
Which was especially the case when Theo could almost feel the eyes of her men observing the situation from the distance, ready to intervene at a moment’s notice.

"Do I need to repeat myself?" Theo asked, once again resorting to using his cold, emotion-deprived voice.
"I…" The girl opened up her mouth, trying to say something, only to — in the end — fail.
"Because I won’t."
Rather than attempting to push her off, Theo merely changed the aim of the nearby turrets, moving the more distant guns to create noise while moderating the nearest few of them to point their long barrels at where the girl’s men were hiding out in the nearby, devastated forest.
"Hmm?" Raising her head, the girl looked up to the guns, then tracked their barrels all the way to the point where she looked back and… judging by the changing expression on her face, connected the dots.
"Theo is indeed my name, but I don’t have a single memory of ever meeting you before. So, unless you want me to take this as an attempt to hold me down while your men approach on the low…"
Rather than finishing up his threat, Theo merely brought more of the guns into action, increasing the noise they made even further.
"Wait, what?"
Contrary to Theo’s expectations, the girl clearly didn’t take his threat seriously. No.
It was his statement of not having a single memory of her that made her freeze first before turning her eyes away from where her men were hiding only for them to lock straight back on Theo’s face.
Still, this moment of distraction was all that Theo needed to free his left hand and summon his universal tool into it… before simply removing the bridge from underneath the two of them, dropping both himself and this touchy-feely woman straight into the moat!
