When Gu Beicheng woke up, it was the evening three days later, and he could barely eat some porridge. Things looked pretty good.
In the evening, Feng Yan came over, while Chi He kept watch outside the ward.
"How is it?" Feng Yan casually grabbed a chair and sat down beside the bed.
"Not bad," Gu Beicheng responded flatly.
"I went to see the chief." Feng Yan raised an eyebrow as he looked at the person on the bed.
"How did the old man explain?" Gu Beicheng asked rather casually.
He had been awake for about an hour and already understood most of what he needed to know.
"He said for the sake of the Feng Family, he could only push you out." The person on the chair slightly curled his lips.
"Do you believe that?" The person on the bed glanced at him.
"If I don’t, what can I do?" Feng Yan raised a thick eyebrow, "What are your thoughts?"
"None." Gu Beicheng propped himself up on the bed, trying to sit up.
Feng Yan immediately stood up, intending to help.
"Don’t bother, I’m not that weak yet." Gu Beicheng’s voice sounded.
The tone wasn’t heavy, but it carried a strong sense of disdain.
Feng Yan shook his head, stopping his steps. He didn’t leave nor did he intend to help.
He understood this guy’s temper better than anyone. If he said he could do it, then just let him, to avoid being unappreciated.
Once the person on the bed sat up, Feng Yan once again sat back in his place.
He slightly curled his lips, letting out a sigh of relief.
Back when Xia Yinian asked about Gu Beicheng’s condition, Feng Yan said there was no life-threatening danger, actually just to comfort the nervous girl.
Three days ago, his condition was so critical, and now he could already sit up by himself. He truly wasn’t called Seventh Young Master for nothing.
"Where’s my wife? Where are you hiding her? Quickly bring her back to see me."
This was probably Seventh Young Master’s usual attitude. Besides, this guy could very well turn into his love rival.

Feng Yan understood him, and he understood Feng Yan, so it seemed impossible for it to be unrelated.

Feng Yan looked up at him, his expression somewhat stern.
"I haven’t found out who the other party is yet. This matter shouldn’t be related to the chief. I’ll watch over Nian Nian for the time being, and you can focus on recovering your health first."
