It was unlikely that Su Yu was splitting the pioneering into three stages because that was what he wanted to do. Rather, he was doing that because he wasn't confident he could perfectly complete everything at one go.
He wasn't the type to delay laying down the life and death daos if he was really confident he could succeed.

When their gaze landed on Su Yu, surprise flickered in their eyes. Then, it did something surprising: speaking in the common language. As they spoke, their voice rumbled like thunder.

The behemoth beast resembled a tiger. However, the beast came with four pairs of wings. In truth, some of the races in the Myriad Realms could trace their origins to these chaos beasts. They had simply assimilated into the Myriad Realms, turning into a part of the myriad races.
For example, the iron devourers, spatial beasts, and hous were most likely former chaos beasts. The heavenly desolate beast was one such beast as well. If it had survived back then, it could have created a heavenly desolate beast race as well. And the behemoth beast was most likely the original form of the flying sky tiger race.
From how the beast was speaking the common language, it was clear this was not their first interaction with those from the Myriad Realms. They looked at Su Yu with surprise and said,
"Attempting Creation before even mastering the daos of the Myriad Realms. You are the weakest Creator I have seen."
In short, they had seen more than one Creator before.

The tiger-like beast sighed and continued, "However, you are attempting Creation in chaos. You are encroaching upon our territory. "We are not willing to assimilate into your so-called Myriad Realms. We prefer living freely in chaos. Why must we subject ourselves to the mercy of others? These so-called Created daos are merely shackles. Once you assimilate, you will no longer have your freedom.
"This is a dao conflict. We can't allow you to succeed. We are filled with respect for any Creator as each Creator is a boundlessly talented being. Even so, we can't let this happen."
Instead of attacking right after arriving, the behemoth beast spoke in a refined manner. First, they explained their purpose clearly. This was a dao conflict. Su Yu was encroaching upon their territory. They could not allow that. They respected Su Yu's talent, but they had to act against Su Yu.
Su Yu continued pioneering his dao while replying with a chuckle, "You're not wrong. But I'm not wrong either. This is an era of strife. I will proceed with my Creation. Chaos does not belong to you alone. It does not belong to anyone. It belongs to reality itself. You lack the courage to stop the Master of Time. You don't dare to stop the Master of Death. But I'm a weakling. Thus, I shall suffer. But the same applies to you. Your weakness will be the reason for your defeat. None of us is wrong. We simply live in an era where the strong reign supreme."
"That is a very reasonable argument." The tiger nodded in agreement. That was in line with the belief of the chaos beasts. Only strength mattered.
"And thus, a fight is unavoidable."
"Roar!"
With a roar, the tiger flapped their wings and shot toward Su Yu.
At the same time, the white dog grew until he was comparable to the tiger in size. Then, he howled, "Go away!"
The gigantic white dog was baring his fangs and brandishing his claws like the most ferocious of beasts.

Su Yu was listening attentively while pioneering his dao. Seeing that the talkative tiger was quite knowledgeable, he said, "Were they sealed behind the Hell Gate? Is chaos attempting to return as well?"
"Of course." The tiger said, "The universe does not belong to you. It belongs to us. Everything shall return to chaos. Human, your race used to be a part of chaos as well. Is chaos not good? Are the Myriad Realms not enough for you? Why must you insist on creating more worlds?"
Everything originated from chaos. Evidently, humanity was no exception to that. After the Myriad Realms, the Upper Realm and Death Realm were created. The chaos beasts would naturally allow this to continue. They would not tolerate the creation of a new world.
And finally, the white dog and the tiger reached each other. An intense battle erupted. The combat prowess of the tiger was indeed every bit as powerful as their aura suggested. In the blink of an eye, the white dog was pushed back with a bloody wound on his body.
