Chapter 33: Chapter 33: A Roof Over Our Heads
A sharp, icy gust of wind swept through the valley, carrying with it a sudden flurry of thick snowflakes. The sky had turned black, and the temperature dropped, signaling the true onset of the northern freeze.
"Everyone get inside," said Kellar. "The storm is catching up to us."
He ushered Maya, Mila, and her mother through the wooden doorway, sliding the thick main door shut to block out the howling wind. As they stepped into the spacious main hall, the difference was striking. The thick, fire-baked timber walls deflected the freezing drafts that whistled through the gaps of the village huts. Compared to their old, irregular leather-and-log shelters, the interior was warmer, holding the natural heat much better.
Despite the structural insulation, a deep, biting chill still lingered in the air. The house was bare, and they hadn’t brought any of their thick winter furs or spare clothing from the village. It was already too dark and far too dangerous to risk the trek back through the woods to retrieve their belongings.
Kellar crossed his arms, his eyes scanning the empty central room. His engineering mind began designing a proper masonry chimney and a thermal ventilation network, but he lacked the stone and the tools to construct it safely in the pitch black.
"We will have to endure the cold for tonight," said Kellar. "Tomorrow, I will build a proper hearth. I promise you that you will never have to suffer from the freeze inside this house again."
The older woman looked at him, her tough, weathered face softening as she rubbed her arms to keep the blood flowing.
"You have already done more than enough for one day, boy," said Mila’s mother. "And stop calling me Mila’s mother. My name is Meli."
"It will be best if we all sleep close together tonight," said Kellar. "The shared warmth will keep the chill away until morning."
The three women nodded, the reality of the freezing night overriding any hesitation. They moved toward the largest bedroom space, where Kellar had laid down a thick layer of dry, clean straw to act as a temporary mattress.
They all piled onto the thick bed of straw, keeping their soot-stained travel tunics and leather wraps firmly on. The biting cold of the northern freeze didn’t care about the thick wooden walls; it crept through the floorboards, settling into their bones. Mila pressed tightly against Kellar’s left side, while Maya claimed his right, her hands already sliding over the coarse fabric covering his chest. Meli lay just in front of them, her breathing shallow, her eyes locked on Kellar in the dim light.
The frost was relentless. Even huddled together, the layers of sweat-dried leather and rough cloth trapped the icy moisture against their skin, making them shiver harder.
"This isn’t working," said Kellar. "The damp leather is keeping the cold inside."
"We are freezing even like this, boy," said Meli.
"Take off the clothes," said Kellar. "Skin-to-skin contact is the only way our heat will trap between us. Trust me."
"I did not expect the freeze to strike this suddenly," said Kellar.
"The winter came too early this year," said Maya.
There was no hesitation among them. In this harsh northern world, survival meant obeying the strongest man, and Kellar’s word was law.
Maya smirked in the dark, her pale fingers working the knots of her tunic, her light brown hair spilling over her shoulders. Mila shifted next, pulling the rough cloth over her head without a word, her long black hair contrasting against her pale, smooth skin as her firm breasts shook in the freezing air. Meli, her mature body still strikingly curved and full, followed her daughter’s lead, letting her own long black hair fall over her bare, white shoulders as she exposed herself to the room.
Kellar stripped off his outer layer, exposing his powerful, system-enhanced physique. The sheer mass of his broad, pale chest and hard muscles radiated an intense, unnatural warmth that defied the winter storm howling outside.
"Come closer," said Kellar.
They didn’t need to be told twice. As the four of them pressed their bare bodies together on the straw, the initial shock of the cold skin melted.
"You are burning up, Kellar," said Maya.
Mila glared at her aunt through the dark, pushing her pale body tighter against Kellar’s ribs to claim her space as his current woman.
"He is mine to warm tonight, Maya," said Mila.
Meli sat just inches away, her breath catching as the scent of aroused flesh filled the tight space, her eyes locked onto Kellar’s frame.
Maya reached down through the dark, her pale hand sliding over the rough straw to grab Kellar’s thick dick. She expected to wrap her fingers around his heat, but instead, her hand collided with another soft, bare hand already reaching for the exact same spot.
"Get your hands off him, Mila," said Maya.
"That is not my hand, aunt," said Mila.
Maya froze, her eyes adjusting to the dim light as she realized the hand she was holding belonged to Meli. Mila’s mother didn’t pull away; her pale fingers remained locked near Kellar’s hip, her breathing heavy as her black hair fell over her bare, flushed shoulders..
"He is the alpha of this family now," said Meli. "My daughter has her place, but I will not freeze to death while he burns like a hearth."
Kellar didn’t wait for them to argue. He reached out, his large, calloused hands locking onto Meli’s mature hips and pulling her pale, curved body onto his lap. The raw, skin-to-skin contact made Meli gasp loudly as his thick, rock-hard cock pressed right against her thigh.
"There is enough heat for all of you," said Kellar.
Maya laughed, the light brown hair tossing as she shifted her weight. She crawled over Kellar’s chest, her pale breasts rubbing against his hard muscles as she leaned down to whisper against his ear.
"Then stop talking and put it inside her, Kellar," said Maya. "Or let me have it first since I already know how good it feels."
Mila bit her lip, her fierce possessiveness flaring as she wrapped her pale arms around Kellar’s neck from behind, her firm breasts pressing hard against his back.
"You fuck him after me, Maya," said Mila.
"I am the one sitting on it right now," said Meli.
