Chapter 1091: Chapter 1089: I Will Always Love You

"Don’t you know that the head of the Ji Family married a daughter of the Yang Family from Beijing?"

Ji Huan thought that, as long as someone came from a prominent background, they should know about this. After all, if the Ji Family and the Yang Family joined hands, they could practically cover half the sky.

"Are you saying Aunt Tong is a daughter of the Yang Family in Beijing? Isn’t her last name Le?"

The little girl only thought Ji Huan was teasing her, with an expression of disbelief on her face.

"This is a long story."

The little girl was still skeptical, "No way, my sister told me that the vice president of the Ji Family, Aunt Tong, and Uncle Ji are like the real-life version of Cinderella and the Prince."

Little Treasure guessed that when Zhu Qianying told Zhu Qianyu these stories, she probably didn’t expect her little sister would one day have any involvement with the Ji Family.

"Go grill me two chicken wings, two drumsticks, and six shrimp. We’ll talk about this slowly."

Zhu Qianyu was rarely instructed by Young Master Ji and didn’t resist at all. In fact, she happily ran off.

After a while, the little girl came back carrying a big plate of food as Young Master Ji requested. The two sat cross-legged on the grass under the shade of a tree, with Young Master Ji eating delicious drumsticks and wings while narrating the romantic past of his dad and mom in detail.

Zhu Qianyu leaned against Young Master Ji, listening attentively. After finishing, she remarked, "No wonder Aunt Tong and Uncle Ji have such a good relationship. They went through so much together!"

The young master draped an arm around her shoulder, nuzzling his face against hers, "Yeah, in the future, we will experience many things together just like them. Will you, like my mom, silently stand behind me and support me, without complaint or regret?"

The little girl nodded, "Of course!" Saying this, she wrapped an arm around his neck, lifted her head and kissed his chin, "Not only will I always support you, but I’ll always love you too!"

Because of the little girl’s confession, Young Master Ji was grinning from ear to ear all day. When Le Tong, his mother, saw this, she teasingly asked him.

"Little Treasure, you’ve been grinning all day like you’ve struck gold. Be honest, did something good happen?"

Da Bao glanced at Little Treasure, "Mom, is there even a need to guess? I suppose he proposed to Xiao Yu, and Xiao Yu agreed!"

Zhu Qianyu, standing next to Ji Huan, blushed immediately upon hearing Da Bao’s teasing.

Just as she was about to deny it, Ji Huan chuckled and said, "Brother, you’re not far off!"

Zhu Qianyu was so anxious, she tugged on Ji Huan’s arm and hurriedly clarified, "Ji Huan, you didn’t propose to me!"

Ji Huan turned around, cupped her face with one hand, and without hesitation, kissed her on the lips in front of everyone, "Should I propose now?"

Zhu Qianyu glared at him fiercely, her face as red as a steamed crab.

A big group of people continued to play and tease until the evening before heading home.

After taking a bath and climbing into bed, Zhu Qianyu remembered that her sister was still waiting for her call.

This was her fault; thinking that she would return to the main house today left her so worried last night that she couldn’t sleep and ended up chatting with her sister for over half an hour.

Her sister instructed her to report back no matter how things turned out today.

"Sis, are you asleep?"

Zhu Qianyu glanced at the small clock on her nightstand, almost eleven-thirty.

Her sister was a night owl and shouldn’t be asleep this early.

"Not yet, just organizing the wedding guest list. Oh, tomorrow, remember to ask Ji Huan who the Ji Family wants to invite."

Zhu Qianying’s question pretty much considered Ji Huan as her brother-in-law already.

"Okay, I’ll ask him tomorrow." Zhu Qianyu, as it seemed, didn’t find her sister’s question odd at all.

Of course, if Zhu Qianyu and Ji Huan were already married, Zhu Qianying’s question would be understandable, but Zhu Qianyu and Ji Huan were just a little couple who had been together for less than ten days.

"So, how was it today at his grandpa’s house? Did they give you a hard time?"

Zhu Qianying, though about to be married, was still concerned about her sister.

"No, Grandpa Ji was very kind to me, much more amiable than I imagined, not at all the stern and stern-faced person I expected."

The long-standing knot in Zhu Qianyu’s heart concerning her grandparents seemed to have been untied by Grandpa Ji.

"Silly girl, of course, there are kind and gracious elders. For example, Old Madam Yan and Mr. Yan are also very approachable and kind. Or how about coming back next week, and I’ll introduce you and Ji Huan to them?"

"Sure, sure! I haven’t even met Young Master Yan yet!"

To be honest, Zhu Qianyu had never been optimistic about her sister’s marriage.

First, their marriage was based on a contract, and secondly, for so long, she hadn’t even met her future brother-in-law.

Now, hearing her sister mention it, the little girl was quite excited.

"Oh, you haven’t met Young Master Yan? I forgot! Okay, come back this Friday, and we’ll have a meal together."

"Sister, is there anything I can help with? Or anything you need Ji Huan to help with?"

Zhu Qianyu was now straightforwardly regarding Ji Huan as one of her own.

She and her sister, although they had a father and mother, were raised supporting each other. Of course, most of the time, it was her sister supporting her.

Now that her sister was getting married, she also wanted to stand behind her as family support, giving her prestige.

"Oh, you’re starting to put Young Master Ji to work so soon?"

Unfazed by her sister’s teasing, Zhu Qianyu replied, "Sister, if Young Master Yan ever bullies you, you must tell us. Ji Huan and I will stand up for you!"

Zhu Qianyu felt a bit guilty saying that, but regardless of her unease, she was determined to help her sister if she was bullied.

"Alright, I know you care for your sister, but you also have to trust me. I’m not so easily pushed about, and isn’t it me who taught you if bullied, you should stand back up?"

Zhu Qianyu responded with a hum, realizing maybe she was overthinking it.

Her smart sister, even when bullied as a child by the Zhu Family, would find subtle ways to fight back. Not to mention, her sister had grown up now, and her strength couldn’t be compared to the past.

Yet, thinking about her sister facing Young Master Yan made Zhu Qianyu worry again.

"Sis, Young Master Yan isn’t like our brothers!"

She had heard quite a lot about Young Master Yan from Ji Huan, and her overall impression of him was not great.

With such a formidable figure, could her sister really handle him?

"Xiao Yu, are you imagining him as some ferocious beast? Don’t worry, he’s not as scary as you think!"
