“It’s so cold out today~”
At noon, Ning Chu stepped out of the cafeteria, blowing on her hands for warmth while keeping a sharp eye on her surroundings.
Hmm, no girls around here prettier than her.
And no one with conspicuous features labeled “big chest,” “loli,” or “uniform.”
Now she could relax.
“I told you to wear more layers,” Wen Yang said, glancing down at her legs wrapped in black leggings. “Wearing a skirt in this weather—aren’t you cold?”
“It looks good!”
Ning Chu replied confidently.
Today, she wore a thick white coat and a scarf, paired with a black short skirt over fleece-lined leggings.
This outfit not only showed off her slim, straight legs but also allowed her tail to move freely under her skirt without being noticed.
She had to maintain a stylish look to intimidate any potential admirers of Wen Yang; otherwise, she’d prefer dressing a bit plainer.
“Besides, my legs aren’t cold at all. These leggings are warmer than my regular jeans.”
Wen Yang glanced down at her legs peeking out from under the skirt. They looked no different from slightly thicker tights, but he couldn’t see how they’d be any warmer.
Still, her legs looked nice—neither overly thin nor stick-like. Her thighs were shapely and soft, with a slight jiggle as she walked. Her calves were slender and smooth, with a gentle curve that showed no muscle definition.
Wen Yang had once liked those influencer-type “chopstick legs,” but he’d come to appreciate the charm of Ning Chu’s slightly fuller thighs.
The experience was... unparalleled.
Wen Yang unzipped his coat, spreading it open and pulling Ning Chu inside before zipping it back up.
Even though Ning Chu was about average height for a girl at 1.6 meters, she seemed adorably small in his embrace, peeking out from within his coat like a kitten nestled close.
“This makes it hard to walk...”
Her face flushed, feeling a bit shy with all the glances they were drawing.
“It’s fine. Want to head to the library after this?”
“Let’s take a stroll first.”
Wrapped in Wen Yang’s coat, Ning Chu could feel warmth coming from all directions. Her body temperature, previously chilled, quickly rose, making her feel a bit too warm. She loosened her scarf to let her pale neck breathe.
The two walked slowly through campus, looking almost like a single entity in the shared coat, moving like a crab as they navigated the paths.
Passing students couldn’t help but glance their way, stealing glimpses at the adorable girl bundled up close to the tall, handsome guy, getting a surprise dose of PDA.
“Aw! So sweet!”
That energetic voice made Ning Chu tense up, knowing exactly who it was without even looking—Yan Xinya, ever the CP enthusiast, had arrived, beaming as she dashed over and grabbed hold of Ning Chu’s horn.
“What’s wrong with you!”
Ning Chu tried to lunge at her to grab her tail in retaliation, but she was restricted by Wen Yang’s coat, flailing about without making any progress.
“We’re heading off, Lily!”
“Mm.”
Lily, with her usual icy expression, walked past them slowly, casting a glance at Ning Chu, whose face was flushed with frustration. She reached out casually, pressing down on Ning Chu’s small horn and giving it a light rub.
Before Ning Chu could even react, she quickened her pace, disappearing down the path like the wind.
“What the heck!”
Ning Chu finally freed herself from Wen Yang’s coat, but by then, the two girls were already far off.
“You’re just going to let them bully me? Aren’t you going to help catch them?!”
Frustrated, she took her anger out on Wen Yang, who looked back at her, a picture of innocence.
It felt a bit awkward to get involved in her friend-group squabbles as a guy.
“How about you give me a couple of punches to vent?”
“Too thick-skinned, can’t hurt you.”
Ning Chu’s frustration quickly dissipated, and she sighed, poking at her horn.
“What am I going to do... They’ve only just started growing, and they can’t keep their hands off them.”
Succubus horns were filled with nerves, as sensitive as her tail. They weren’t like cow or goat horns meant for fighting; rather, they were “handles” for the driver.
But while her tail could be hidden, her horns couldn’t.
“Maybe wear a hat?”
“It works for now, but later, they’ll poke through, right?”
Picturing herself with a hat awkwardly perched on her horns, toppling off at any given moment, Ning Chu couldn’t help but find the image a little cute.
If only it weren’t her.
Hand in hand, she and Wen Yang strolled through the campus, eventually finding their way to the garden.
Ning Chu rarely ventured into the school gardens before, whether it was the lakeside garden near the teaching building or the smaller ones by the dorms.
Too high a chance of running into wild “monsters.”
But with the temperature at five or six degrees, it was unlikely that any couples would brave the cold to linger there.
“You don’t seem in a great mood,” Wen Yang observed, picking up on her slightly downcast expression.
“I just want an iced cola.”
“I thought you’d be worried about the horns...”
“They’re inevitable. I can’t exactly saw them off, right? They’re super sensitive—it’d hurt!” She’d been worried earlier, but now she spoke lightly. “I’m pretty chill~ I’ll get over it in a while. When I first turned into a girl, was I supposed to jump off a building?”
Wen Yang recalled that scene of her fainted in the bathroom, legs covered in blood.
“Yep, you’ve got a strong mentality.”
“Exactly!”
With no one around, Ning Chu decided to let loose.
She hopped up onto a curb about ten centimeters off the ground, going up on her toes to compare her height with Wen Yang’s. She stretched her arms wide, balancing herself on the narrow ledge as she walked beside him.
“It’s almost the weekend, isn’t it? Have you found a part-time job yet?”
“I plan to get some wholesale goods to sell at the night market.”
Ning Chu’s eyes lit up, nodding excitedly. “That’s perfect! If it takes off, you’ll be a big boss in no time!”
“It’s not that easy.”
“But you’re the protagonist! Luck’s on your side~” she teased, smirking. “Just show a little skin, and girls will be lining up to buy!”
Wen Yang stroked his chin thoughtfully. “You know, that might work...”
“Oh, you’re asking for it!”
Seizing the moment, Ning Chu jumped up and wrapped her arms around his neck, attempting to kick him in the back of the knee to make him fall.
But she quickly realized she’d miscalculated; she was now hanging from Wen Yang’s neck, legs kicking in the air, unable to reach the ground.
“Oh, come on!”
Wen Yang effortlessly caught her by the thighs, hoisting her onto his back.
“What were you planning? Ambushing me?”
“Not at all~ Just wanted a hug~”
Feigning innocence, Ning Chu held onto Wen Yang’s head, her gaze darting around.
The view from up high really was different! Everything looked smaller.
“Already a ‘pregnant woman,’ and still playing around like a kid.”
“Fake pregnant! Fake pregnant! Don’t say that!”
