“What? You’re only interested in girls who aren’t interested in you? What kind of twisted logic is that?”
“That’s what he said.”
“Is he out of his mind?”
When Ning Chu heard from Wen Yang about Zhang Shaoqing’s “relationship philosophy,” she couldn’t help but be floored.
“That’s a paradox! How are you ever going to find a girlfriend with that attitude?!”
“Why are you and Wen Yang saying the same thing? I’m a rich kid; I don’t need to worry about that yet.”
In the cramped rented apartment, there was only one table and chair, so all three of them sat cross-legged on the bed.
Scratching his head, Zhang Shaoqing muttered, “I think I might actually have something wrong with me. I was this close to winning Qian Qian over, and then suddenly I lost all interest in her.”
“It just so happened I had a little fight with my family, so I figured I’d run away for a few days.”
He sighed heavily. “Ling Ling is still the best...”
But Ning Chu knew that with his paradox, he would always be into his childhood cat-eared friend, Ling Ling, mostly because she had no interest in him. The moment she actually liked him, he’d probably lose interest.
Ning Chu rolled her eyes. So, this is what a “villain” is supposed to be like... twisted to the core, huh~
All the questionable items in the apartment had already been packed into her suitcase, so the place looked clean, at least on the surface.
Leaning against the headboard, Ning Chu had already shaken off her earlier gloom. Hugging her knees, she asked, “So, what’s your plan for the next few days? Going to rent a place?”
“My mom froze my bank card, so I can’t afford it.”
The worst-case scenario had happened!
What was once a cozy little space for Ning Chu and Wen Yang now had an unwanted guest who shamelessly insisted on staying!
Looks like they’d have to move their meet-ups to that couple’s hotel...
“Wen Yang, you’ll take care of me, right?” Zhang Shaoqing didn’t feel the least bit embarrassed as he grinned at Wen Yang. “I’m low-maintenance—just water and two steamed buns a day.”
“I don’t have any money; it’s all with Ning Chu.”
He quickly turned to look at Ning Chu, who shook her head vehemently. “Go get yourself a part-time job!”
“Tch~ You think I can’t get a job? I’ll go find work today!”
What a character...
Ning Chu rubbed her temples in exasperation, having little hope that this rich kid could actually hold down a part-time job.
Once again, she asked, “And what about Qian Qian? You should take responsibility for her, shouldn’t you?”
“Take responsibility for what? I haven’t done anything to her.”
“But she seems to like you now, doesn’t she?”
Zhang Shaoqing ignored her, looking up at Wen Yang instead. “Any day jobs around here? Just enough to cover my meals.”
“Flyer distribution? A hundred bucks a day.”
“No problem! I’ll check it out in a bit!”
The abrupt change in topic left Ning Chu even more frustrated.
Seriously, he was like a troublesome kid! Always finding ways to mess things up for her!
Zhang Shaoqing, acting all indifferent, stole a glance at Ning Chu.
Although he didn’t openly stare, he could immediately see how she’d changed... no longer as innocent, with a more mature and alluring femininity. She looked captivating, exuding a refined allure.
Zhang Shaoqing had witnessed Ning Chu’s transformation from a naive boy into a mature woman right before his eyes.
“I didn’t notice earlier, but you’re even prettier after just a couple of weeks~”
“Shut up!”
“Hey, check out your old photos!” He pulled up a picture from his gallery of her from military training and held it up for her to see. “Can you even recognize yourself?”
The figure on the screen was a boy in an oversized training uniform, looking small and fragile. The face, still innocent, bore little resemblance to the person she was now.
After all, she had transformed from a man into a succubus...
Talk about black history!
Ning Chu froze for a moment, a blush spreading quickly to her ears, and she snapped in anger, “Delete it!”
Zhang Shaoqing immediately pulled the phone away, grinning mischievously. “Not happening!”
“Wen Yang! Get him!”
On command, Wen Yang tackled him onto the bed. Zhang Shaoqing struggled, squirming like a worm, but he was no match for Wen Yang.
“Why the hell are you listening to her?”
“She’s my girlfriend. Who else would I listen to?”

“Exactly~”
Ning Chu smirked as she tried to grab Zhang Shaoqing’s phone, but he held onto it tightly, so she tugged at it like a game of tug-of-war without success.
Frowning, she pulled up her own phone and opened her gallery.
“Here, who’s this?”
It was a picture of Zhang Shaoqing and Wang Jie, arms around each other, slumped over on a small cart, looking dazed.
She’d taken the shot from a creative angle to make Zhang Shaoqing’s otherwise decent face look particularly goofy.
“Damn! How could you, with those big eyes, sneak a photo like that?!”
Zhang Shaoqing tried to grab her phone, but Ning Chu scooted back, pulling away while Wen Yang pinned him down harder.
“If you can sneak photos, why can’t I~” she smirked. “Now, let go so I can check your gallery.”
“Since when was that free of charge?”
“......”
Ning Chu could guess more or less what was in a guy’s photo gallery.
For instance, Wen Yang’s gallery had a bunch of model shots, a few risqué images, and some beautiful pictures of her.
She had, of course, deleted all the models’ photos and filled the space with herself.
And Zhang Shaoqing was not only a guy but a twisted, not-yet-blackened villain, so it wouldn’t be surprising if his gallery had some intense stuff.
And if it was a hidden gallery, that’d be even worse.
“Wen Yang, you do it. Delete all our blackmail material from his phone, and make sure it’s clean.”
“Will you hand it over, or do I have to take it by force?” Wen Yang asked, looking down at Zhang Shaoqing.
“Damn it, you two are really ganging up on me.”
After a round of playful chaos, peace finally settled over the apartment.
Ning Chu was content, having deleted the incriminating photos. But then she suddenly realized she had come to see her former self—her male self—as her own “black history”...
Had she really feminized this much?
“I’m giving you my spare key. It’s almost noon, so Wen Yang and I need to go back for lunch.”
She handed him a spare apartment key and reminded him, “Wen Yang won’t support you. If you don’t want to starve, go find a day job or a position that covers meals.”
“Got it. You’re worse than my mom.” Zhang Shaoqing pouted, sitting at the desk while sorting his luggage.
The guy didn’t even realize he’d already become a burden on Ning Chu and Wen Yang, shamelessly mooching off them!
The thought of having to pay for hotel rooms in the future irritated Ning Chu, and she glared at Zhang Shaoqing’s back.
Then again, maybe she could use this opportunity to take her mind off all those saucy distractions for a while!
Ning Chu, remember—you can’t keep going down this path~
She silently reminded herself.
