According to the original plan, Ning Tian was supposed to stay at Lili's house for two or three days, leaving the day after tomorrow at the earliest.

But given the unforeseen circumstances...

On one hand, Lili’s parents had returned, and Ning Chu was not particularly adept at handling elders. Staying longer would only make her feel awkward and restrained.

On the other hand, Lili wasn’t going to get punished; she just couldn’t face her parents anymore after the embarrassment. Social death? Ning Chu had plenty of experience with that. Getting caught with toys by your parents was nothing compared to her situation—her mother had easily figured out that she had spent the previous night messing around with a man.

Now it was Lili’s turn to experience some of that! After all, Lili had often teased her and kicked her when she was down!

By the time Ning Chu returned home, it was already evening.

“Back so soon?”

The moment she walked in, Ning Chu heard her mother’s voice. Looking up, she saw her mother sitting at the dining table, eating leftovers while watching a drama.

“Something came up,” Ning Chu replied with a wry smile as she set her luggage down.

“Or maybe you were just in a hurry to get back to Wen Yang?”

“Of course not!” she retorted, though her face couldn’t help but flush a little from the teasing. It wasn’t like she needed Wen Yang anyway—she had handled things herself earlier that morning. No need for him!

Trying to divert the conversation, she glanced around the room. “Where’s Hei Dou?”

Normally, Hei Dou would be the first to rush over to greet her when she got home.

“In the bedroom, doing who knows what. Probably asleep.”

“Oh~”

That cat could fall asleep anywhere, anytime.

Ning Chu flopped onto the couch, grabbed a piece of Hei Dou’s beef jerky from the coffee table, and put it in her mouth.

She hadn’t eaten dinner yet, and now that she had a taste of food, her stomach growled even more.

“Mom, is there any food left? I’m hungry.”

“It’s well past dinnertime,” her mother scolded, giving her a look. “You didn’t think to eat something before coming home? Now I have to cook for you?”

“Mom~” Ning Chu whined in a playful tone, instantly softening her mother’s attitude. Her mother grumbled softly but with a smile, getting up to head to the kitchen. “How about some noodles?”

“Perfect!”

Ning Chu lay back on the couch, legs curled up as she chewed on the beef jerky, lazily reading a novel.

Home really was the most comfortable place.

Especially when Hei Dou wasn’t causing trouble. It was peaceful and cozy...

Too bad Wen Yang was now working night shifts, meaning they could only meet for lunch in the future.

She checked her phone, seeing that the message she had sent Wen Yang over an hour ago still hadn’t been answered.

Supposedly, Wen Yang wasn’t allowed to have his phone on him while working...

“The noodles are ready,” her mother called.

“Coming!”

Ning Chu sat down at the dining table as her mother placed the freshly cooked noodles in front of her.

The noodles were made with pork rib broth, with a few pieces of rib and some greens. It had been thrown together quickly, but the taste wasn’t bad at all.

Her mother put her phone down, resting her chin in her hand as she watched her daughter with an amused smile. “So, are you going out tonight?”

Ning Chu froze for a moment, then lowered her head, mumbling, “No, I’m staying in.”

Even though she had only been home for a short time, she was already struggling to suppress her desire to go and see Wen Yang...

This morning’s relief hadn’t fully satisfied her—the toy had been far inferior to the real thing.

“Really?”

“Really! Wen Yang doesn’t get off until eleven! I’ll be asleep by then.”

Her mother gave her a skeptical look, clearly not believing her. “Well, I’m heading out to play mahjong tonight. Don’t let me come back in the morning and find you stayed up all night again.”

“Isn’t Ning Xin already asleep...”

Upon hearing that, Ning Chu’s spirits lifted, though she tried to mask it with a grumble. “Mom, can’t you stop pulling all-nighters at your age? It’s not healthy.”

“Look who’s lecturing me now,” her mother said, tapping Ning Chu on the head.

She got up, walked to the guest bedroom, and peeked inside. After confirming that Hei Dou was asleep, she excitedly grabbed her purse and headed for the door.

“I’m off. Take care of Ning Xin.”

“Got it~”

“And don’t forget to wash the dishes.”

“Okay.”

Ning Chu slurped her noodles, not even looking up. But as soon as she heard the door close, she leapt up from her chair.

Quickly finishing the rest of her noodles, she gave the dishes a hasty rinse before rushing to follow her mother out the door.

Wait—what if Hei Dou woke up and couldn’t find anyone?

She stopped in her tracks, turning back toward the bedroom.

Entering the room, she found Hei Dou curled up with a pillow, fast asleep. Leaning down, Ning Chu gently shook her sister’s shoulder.

Hei Dou was a light sleeper. She had already woken up the moment Ning Chu stepped into the room.

“Meow?”

“Mom’s gone out to play mahjong, and I’m heading out soon too.”

“Sis? When did you get home?!” Hei Dou’s ears perked up, and her drowsiness disappeared in an instant.

“Don’t get too excited. Go back to sleep...”

Hei Dou sat up, acting like a little adult as she scolded, “Sis! Are you going to see brother-in-law again? Mom said you’re always out at night! Why don’t you spend more time at home?”

“...”

“Buy me a late-night snack, and I won’t tell Mom~”

Of course.

Ning Chu had already expected this little glutton’s demands. Rolling her eyes, she handed over her phone. “Order what you want.”

“Yay!”

“But don’t make a fuss tonight. Be good and go to bed.”

“I know! I’m always good!” Hei Dou’s little head bobbed enthusiastically.

Though still a bit worried, Ning Chu left once the food was ordered, eagerly heading for Wen Yang’s apartment.

When she arrived at his building, it was still two hours before he would be off work.

Hmm...

Seeing that Wen Yang wasn’t home, her impulsive excitement began to fade, and her mind started to clear.

She sat nervously on his bed, sighing, “I’m getting worse...”

Her frustration at not being fully satisfied at Lili’s house had turned her into someone who was nearly obsessed with desire!

This was so perverse!

“There’s still time to go home...”

“Maybe I should take a cold shower and calm down.”

Muttering to herself, Ning Chu opened the nightstand drawer, intending to grab her pajamas, but instead found a fox tail plug inside.

Why had Wen Yang brought this here?

The fox tail was something she had bought out of curiosity along with some playful lingerie, but since she already had her own tail, it wasn’t of much use to her.

Her gaze flickered, but she picked up the tail and headed for the bathroom.

After all, there’s no rule that says a succubus can only have one tail~

...

At 11:30 p.m., Wen Yang arrived at his apartment.

He had responded to Ning Chu’s messages, but she had probably fallen asleep, since there had been no reply.

Still fiddling with his phone, he unlocked the door and stepped inside.

The room was dark, but he was immediately greeted by a familiar scent, mixed with a faint milky fragrance.

Wen Yang paused, instinctively closing the door and looking toward the bed. There, lying naked with a fox tail, was his little succubus, bathed and presented like a gift on the bed.

Her fox tail twitched as she looked up at him with flushed cheeks, lips slightly parted, and hazy eyes, her hand reaching out to grab the hem of his pants.

Thank you, Mother Nature, for this gift.

How could he possibly say no?
