A man and a woman stood silently on one side of the living room, their expressions filled with headaches as they gazed at the girls sprawled across the sofa.

If it weren’t for the fact that all three girls were fully dressed and there were no men in sight, they might have thought their daughter had hosted some kind of indecent party.

Their daughter had always been so well-behaved, nothing like a typical succubus. Even after going to college, she hadn’t had a single male friend.

But now, during their absence, their daughter’s life had shockingly fallen into decadence.

Drunk in broad daylight...

They had checked the liquor cabinet—it looked like it had been raided.

Lili was the first to open her eyes, her face a picture of confusion, her pupils still unfocused as she stared blankly at the ceiling.

Her head throbbed painfully, too heavy to lift, as if there was a weight lodged in her brain.

After a moment, her nerves finally reconnected with her brain, and sensation returned to her body.

Only then did she realize that her leg had gone numb because Ning Chu had used it as a pillow.

Underneath her long dress, her tail was gripped tightly in Yan Xinya’s arms, held like a plush toy.

“Ugh...” Lili groaned, holding her aching head as she groggily sat up. It wasn’t until that moment that she suddenly froze, her body stiffening as her peripheral vision caught a familiar sight.

She jolted upright, quickly turning to look toward the side of the living room. Her parents were staring at her with complicated expressions.

“...”

“What’s going on, Lili?”

Yan Xinya, woken by Lili’s movements, yawned and rolled over—only to tumble off the sofa and land in the gap between the couch and the coffee table.

“Huh? You okay?”

She lay there on the floor, not even making a sound of discomfort, instead raising her arm and shouting energetically, “Another bottle, please!”

Lili, in a panic, kicked Yan Xinya twice on the backside.

Don’t embarrass me in front of my parents!

"Your friends?" her father asked, his voice heavy with disapproval.

"Uh... my college roommates."

"......"

Lili had always been a good child, well-behaved, and sensible. She never behaved like other succubi, indulging in wild and reckless behavior. She was as chaste and restrained as any normal family’s child—perhaps even a little too restrained, like she didn’t care about such things at all.

Now, that whole image had crumbled.

Awkwardly, Lili turned her head away, avoiding her parents' gaze. “I... need to use the bathroom.”

She bolted to the bedroom, closing the door behind her, but then she noticed the large box that Ning Chu had opened.

It was sitting on the nightstand, repackaged by Ning Chu after being used, but now it was clear someone else had touched it.

Even if she claimed she never used toys, her parents would never believe her now.

It was Ning Chu who had used it today...

Ning Chu, having woken up as well, was startled to see the man in the room.

She instinctively checked her clothes and sighed in relief, only to groan inwardly at the terrible impression she must have made on Lili's parents.

First impressions mattered, and hers was of being drunk and passed out.

If this had been her own mother, she would’ve already been told to cut ties with such "awful friends."

“Ning Chu, bring me another bottle!” Yan Xinya, still sprawled on the floor, stretched her arm out toward the coffee table, groping blindly for another drink.

What a mess this was.

Ning Chu gave Lili's parents an awkward, yet polite smile, before nervously shifting in her seat, tucking her legs together and placing her hands neatly on her lap, sitting upright.

Stay away from the drunk...

About an hour later, the alcohol had mostly worn off.

The empty bottles and trash from the grilled meat had been cleared away, and Ning Chu, Lili, and Yan Xinya sat in a row on the sofa, all wearing guilty expressions, heads lowered, secretly exchanging glances, trying to pass the blame.

‘It’s your fault! Who drinks in broad daylight?!’

‘You enjoyed it too!’

‘This is a disaster...’

‘I didn’t suggest drinking in the first place!’

‘But you agreed to it.’

‘We’re doomed...’

Ning Chu and Yan Xinya exchanged silent accusations, while Lili sat in a state of quiet misery.

On the other side of the sofa sat Lili’s parents. Ning Chu glanced up, her eyes lingering on the woman.

Lili’s mother... she wasn’t exceptionally beautiful, but her figure was well-maintained. She had taken off her thick coat and was now wearing fitted jeans and a black sweater. There was no sign of the succubus tail that should’ve been there.

It wasn’t wrapped around her waist, nor hidden in her pants.

And compared to Lili’s sultry yet cold appearance, neither her eyebrows nor her facial features bore much resemblance.

Ning Chu’s curiosity was piqued. Her eyes darted back and forth between Lili and her parents.

“Mom...” Lili’s voice trembled. Her usual icy facade had melted away, replaced with guilt and unease. She stared at her feet, her tail twitching nervously under her skirt as she explained, “They’re my classmates, really good friends.”

“Mm-hmm.”

“Why did you come back early?”

Her mother sighed and shook her head, a hint of exasperation in her expression. “We wanted to surprise you. Didn’t you always complain about being bored at home while we were away?”

Lili had always been obedient, only coming home during winter and summer breaks. Since her parents’ work had changed, they had taken the opportunity to go on a trip.

But upon returning, they had discovered this whole other side of their daughter. The surprise had turned into a shock...

“Come with us to the bedroom for a moment.”

“Oh.”

Lili was even more tense now. She knew her mother didn’t want to embarrass her in front of her friends.

She stood up, glaring at Yan Xinya, then followed her parents’ lead with small, hesitant steps.

Once Lili and her parents had left the living room, Ning Chu and Yan Xinya both exhaled in relief.

“Ugh, I hate surprises like this,” Yan Xinya groaned, slumping back onto the sofa. “Lili said her parents weren’t coming back until two days before New Year’s Eve. Who knew they’d show up this early?”

“If we hadn’t been drinking, it wouldn’t have been so bad. We really embarrassed ourselves...” Ning Chu sighed deeply, but then her curiosity returned, and she leaned over to whisper in Yan Xinya’s ear, “Did you notice? Lili doesn’t look anything like her parents at all!”

“You didn’t know? Lili’s adopted.”

“No one ever told me that!”

Yan Xinya gave Ning Chu a look of disbelief. “How else do you explain how such a prude of a succubus ended up like her?”

“A prude...”

“You’re pretty strange too,” she muttered. “But I get it. Late bloomers happen. And, well, you did get a head start in some areas. You’re a proper succubus after all.”

“A proper...”

Ning Chu turned her head away, feeling as if each of Yan Xinya’s words was a dagger to her heart.

Not only did she start from behind, but her starting point was ridiculously low. At least Lili had been born a succubus, while she had been born a man...

She quickly changed the subject. “Should we leave early? It’s going to be awkward staying here with her parents.”

“Oh right! Let’s book tickets!”

“You think Lili’s going to get in trouble? Feels kind of wrong to leave her behind like this...”

“She’ll be fine! I’ve already booked tickets for 5 p.m. Want to head to the station together?”

“Yeah.”
