"Am I really leaving now?"

Ning Chu hesitated as she stood by Wen Yang's door, still not entirely at ease. She nervously glanced inside, watching him splash cold water on his face in the bathroom.

"Are you sure you're okay?" she asked, concerned about leaving Wen Yang in such a state. Part of her wanted to check on him inside, but she feared getting involved in something she couldn't control.

Even though Wen Yang had lost control earlier, he had managed to come to his senses quickly when she urged him. His repeated apologies and guilt-ridden expression tugged at her heartstrings.

After all, this was her storyline playing out. Wen Yang was just the victim.

Wen Yang turned around, his eyes bloodshot and terrifying. He looked at Ning Chu, who had only stuck her head through the door, and forced a strained response, "I’m fine. You can go."

"Your face looks really scary... you’ve got veins popping out on your neck..." Ning Chu muttered nervously, shrinking back and biting her lip, her expression uncertain. "How about using the thing I bought for you this afternoon?"

"Yeah," he replied curtly.

"So, I'm really leaving now?" she asked again, still hesitant. "Maybe... I should call 120 and get you to the hospital?"

Originally, Ning Chu had planned to drop Wen Yang off and make her escape, leaving the cup she bought to take over the role of the kind-hearted girl in the original story. But seeing him in such a state made her more anxious.

"I’ll be fine after a cold shower," Wen Yang assured her as water splashed from the bathroom.

Still feeling uneasy, Ning Chu finally took a step back and closed the door behind her. Staying any longer was too risky. Although she knew that one day she'd end up in Wen Yang's bed, she didn't want it to happen under these circumstances—not when Wen Yang was out of control due to the drug's influence.

As she glanced at her watch, she realized it was already past 11:30 p.m. She started to worry about what kind of chaos Hei Dou might be causing at home, whether she was tearing up the place while having a midnight party by herself.

Suddenly, a loud crash sounded from Wen Yang’s room, causing Ning Chu to jump in alarm. Without a second thought, she grabbed the key and rushed back inside.

"Wen Yang?!"

She saw him lying near the bathroom door, struggling to get up with the help of a nearby chair.

She ran over to him, her face filled with worry. "Are you hurt? How did you fall?"

"I slipped," Wen Yang grumbled, not meeting her eyes. "You should go. Don’t worry about me."

"How can I not worry?" Ning Chu muttered, clearly torn between leaving and staying. "What if you lose control again...?"

"I’ll manage," he said, his voice strained as he tried to control his overwhelming urges.

Ning Chu took a deep breath, glancing at the cup she had purchased earlier. “Here, let me clean this up for you,” she offered, nervously grabbing the box from the desk.

She was trying to convince herself. With Wen Yang’s self-control, and a little help from the cup, things should be fine. At most, she might just need to use her hands—nothing more.

She tried to focus on the task at hand as the scent in the air grew stronger, a sweet, familiar fragrance that reminded her of desserts and milk. Her mouth watered involuntarily as she cleaned the cup, lost in thought.

Her brain kept swirling with a horrible idea: What if they didn’t even make it back to the apartment before Wen Yang pounced on her...?

There wasn’t supposed to be a "wild encounter" scene in this part of the story!

"Ning Chu," Wen Yang’s voice came from the bathroom, rough and gravelly.

"What is it?"

She hurried over, handing him a bottle of ice-cold water through the slightly ajar door. "I just bought this. Wash your face and cool down."

But before she could pull her hand back, Wen Yang grabbed her wrist and yanked her inside.

No way!

Ning Chu’s mind went blank. Before she knew what was happening, Wen Yang had her pressed against him, his ragged breath hot against her ear.

"I can’t take it anymore... help me," he begged, his voice dripping with desperation.

Ning Chu froze, her eyes darting towards the bathroom door, ears catching the faint sounds of cars passing by outside.

"Not here..." she whispered, her voice trembling. "Someone might see us."

"Just once," he murmured, his tone pleading.

Her face flushed a deep red as she averted her gaze, her body trembling in his arms.

“Alright... but you can't touch me. No forcing,” she managed to say, even though she knew this was a losing battle. The scene she feared was already unfolding.

"Okay."

Ning Chu reluctantly moved to the end of the bed, feeling the strange aroma clouding her senses. She clutched the cup tightly and got to work, eyes flicking nervously to Wen Yang.

At least Wen Yang seemed to relax a little, the tension in his body visibly easing. Ning Chu let out a small sigh of relief. That was too close!

It seemed like the handwork would suffice. Tonight wouldn’t be as catastrophic as she feared.

Though she herself was starting to feel more and more... uncomfortable.

Ugh... this is so messed up!

"Once I’m done helping, I’m going home," Ning Chu muttered, feeling the fatigue setting in. "I can’t stay here overnight; my mom will kill me if I don’t come back."

"And I don’t trust leaving Hei Dou alone either," she added with a pout, her hands sore from the continuous motion.

Her energy drained, she finally collapsed onto the bed, exhausted. "I’m so tired..."

"Sorry..." Wen Yang’s expression softened, his face no longer as flushed. "I lost control there for a bit."

"You think?" Ning Chu grumbled, trying to hide her frustration as she lay down on the bed. "What time is it?"

"Almost 2 a.m."

"It’s not even over yet?"

Whatever they drugged Wen Yang with, its effects were clearly lasting longer than expected. She hadn’t anticipated that she’d have to help him out so many times!

This is NOT how I pictured tonight going!

She groaned as she flopped onto the bed, too tired to care anymore.

Wen Yang’s combat prowess was off the charts tonight! In their one-on-one match, Ning Chu had barely won four rounds in two hours.

She gave up and sprawled across the bed. “I’m done, I can’t take anymore... I’m exhausted...”

“Can’t you hold on just a bit longer?” Wen Yang asked, trying to sound apologetic.

“No way! I can’t do it. I’m so sleepy...” Ning Chu grumbled, feeling completely drained.

This wasn’t how she imagined things going at all.

She had planned for the cup to take care of everything tonight!

Yet, it was completely useless—utterly disappointing and, to make it worse, incredibly expensive!

Just as the heavy breathing beside her started to intensify again, Ning Chu turned her head to glance at Wen Yang. She was already mentally prepared for the worst. She felt his gaze burning into her and braced herself for what might happen next.

But to her surprise, he suddenly got up and headed towards the bathroom. The sound of running water from the shower soon followed.

Wait, what? I just hinted so obviously, and you're still holding back?!

Aren’t I a succubus? Where’s my dignity?

Wen Yang returned, towel wrapped around him, and sat next to Ning Chu on the bed, still trying to resist his urges. He couldn’t even glance at her, lest he lose control completely.

The atmosphere between them was tense. Ning Chu opened her mouth, but the words got stuck in her throat. She didn’t know what to say, and Wen Yang seemed to be struggling as well, doing his best to keep his distance.

Ning Chu's face was burning, her heartbeat racing uncontrollably. She cast a quick glance at the messy bed sheets, the lingering scent of Wen Yang's pheromones making her even more flustered.

Unable to bear the tension any longer, she reached out and lightly poked Wen Yang's side. "So... uh... about that..."

"Don’t touch me," Wen Yang rasped, his voice hoarse. "I don’t think I can hold back anymore."
