Chapter 64: Listening to You
It had only been a few days apart, but Wen Yang noticed that Ning Chu had changed.
If, before, Ning Chu’s constant presence at his side felt like an overprotective parent’s supervision, now she resembled a domestic kitten, always wanting to be close to him, no matter what they were doing.
It seemed that as long as she was with him, nothing else mattered.
Wen Yang glanced over at her, walking right next to him, her shoulder brushing against his arm every so often. Though her face was expressionless, the emotions in her eyes were unmistakable.
There was a hint of hesitation, but mostly, she looked... happy.
“I’ll go grab us some food. Wait here for me,” he said.
“Okay!”
Wen Yang walked toward the cafeteria counter, but after taking just a few steps, he turned around to glance at the girl sitting at the table.
Ning Chu rested her chin on one hand, lazily twirling a lock of her hair with the other, her legs swinging slightly beneath the table. Even from this angle, where he couldn’t see her face, he could sense her contentment.
Before, whenever Ning Chu was alone, she would always seem lost, fidgeting nervously, which was one of Wen Yang’s main worries before he’d taken his short leave.
But now, that anxiety had disappeared, only occasionally surfacing when she looked around with wary eyes.
Where had this change come from?
Wen Yang didn’t dwell on it for long and continued walking to the food counter.
It wasn’t more than ten minutes before Ning Chu saw Wen Yang returning with two trays of food.
As usual, he’d picked out two meat dishes and one vegetable, all of her favorites. The only difference was that today, he’d added a bottle of fresh milk.
“I don’t like milk,” she mumbled, eyeing the bottle he had set in front of her.
“It's good for you.”
“I don’t like it...” she grumbled but still picked up the milk and took a small sip.
But just as she did, Ning Chu noticed Wen Yang’s eyes sneakily glancing at her chest. She followed his gaze and then scowled.
So, you’re planning to raise me now, huh?!
What happened to being into small chests, huh?!
With a hint of irritation, Ning Chu kicked Wen Yang’s leg under the table.
Wen Yang immediately sat up straight, his eyes darting away as he focused intently on his food.
Ning Chu sighed, drinking a third of the milk in one go.
Maybe... it really was a bit small...
But on the bright side, smaller meant less worry about sagging. She didn’t need much support from bras, it made moving around easier, and besides, back when she was still a guy, she’d always had a thing for small chests.
However, thinking about Yan Xinya’s smug face as she flaunted her modest chest size made Ning Chu angry.
It was just a B-cup! What was there to be so proud of?
“Gege~”
Just as Ning Chu was about to take another bite of her meal, she heard a familiar, sickly sweet voice.
She let out a weary sigh. Not this little vixen again...
Why did Qiao Qiao always show up in public places?
The cat-girl hurried over, her short legs moving quickly as she plopped her tray down at the table. Before Wen Yang could react, she was already sitting right next to him.
With a saccharine smile, she leaned close, her voice dripping with sweetness. “Ge~ Why didn’t I see you yesterday?”
Wen Yang frowned in annoyance and was about to say something when Ning Chu quietly set down her chopsticks, abandoning her half-eaten meal, and stood up.
“I’m going to the bathroom,” she said.
Was she angry?
Seeing that Ning Chu might be upset, Wen Yang’s frustration with Qiao Qiao grew.
He shot a sharp glance at the cat-girl beside him. “You’re older than me. Why are you acting like a little girl?”

“Huh?”
Qiao Qiao froze, staring blankly at Wen Yang.
Critical hit! Maximum effectiveness!
Ning Chu stumbled slightly as she left the cafeteria, glancing back with a look of disbelief before breaking into a sprint.
Holy crap! You never used to be this harsh with girls!
You used to be all polite and gentle. Since when did you go straight for the jugular like this?!
For someone like Qiao Qiao, who had the appearance of a loli and loved playing the cute card, her biggest insecurity was probably her age. Wen Yang had hit her right where it hurt!
Ning Chu rushed into the public restroom near the cafeteria, barely making it to the sink before her legs gave out. She almost collapsed right there.
She clutched the sink for support, leaning against the wall as she slowly shuffled her way into a bathroom stall.
Crap! This punishment is worse than I expected...
Or maybe her body’s sensitivity had increased after what happened in the park earlier.
Inside the restroom, a girl pushed open the stall door, looked up, and saw Ning Chu with flushed cheeks, her eyes dazed, legs pressed together as she staggered forward.
"???"
“!!!”
Ning Chu’s embarrassment nearly exploded.
She lowered her head, praying the girl wouldn’t remember her face. Biting her lower lip, she hurriedly ducked into the nearest stall.
“Is everyone this wild these days?” the girl muttered to herself as she left. “Maybe she’s wearing some kind of toy...”
“...”
Leaning against the wall of the stall, Ning Chu looked up at the ceiling, her expression one of utter defeat.
So tired...
Maybe it was time to come clean to Wen Yang...
Not about the story and its plot, but at least about her “punishment” mechanism.
Otherwise, every time Wen Yang dealt with a girl hitting on him, she’d be punished like this. How could she keep enduring it?
But what excuse could she use... It was such a difficult conversation to have!
“Ning Chu?”
Wen Yang’s voice echoed from outside the restroom.
Ning Chu hadn’t fully recovered, so she could only respond weakly, “I’m here...”
Hearing her calm tone, Wen Yang breathed a sigh of relief. Standing just outside the women’s restroom, he glanced around.
“No one’s here.”
“Okay.” He didn’t step inside, but he hesitated slightly as he spoke. “I got rid of Qiao Qiao... She left crying.”
Yeah, I know...
The boy who used to be flustered and overwhelmed when girls bothered him was now making them cry.
“Maybe I went too far?” Wen Yang asked.
“It’s fine.”
A few moments later, Ning Chu emerged from the restroom, her eyes slightly dazed from the aftereffects of the punishment as she stood in front of Wen Yang. She rolled her eyes at him weakly.
Her gaze, still hazy with lingering emotion, looked more like an alluring, teasing glance, causing Wen Yang to let out a deep breath.
So, the succubus transformation triggered at random times, huh? No wonder she’d run off so quickly.
Ning Chu’s body, exuding a powerful allure, made Wen Yang swallow nervously. His gaze shifted to the side, but he kept sneaking glances at her.
“Wen Yang, promise me something...”
Ning Chu turned to the sink, turning on the tap and splashing her face with cold water.
“Hmm?”
“No matter how many bad women try to flirt with you, you have to follow my cues, okay?”
Wen Yang frowned in confusion. “Why?”
“Because...”
Ning Chu hesitated, realizing she didn’t have a solid reason, and gave up trying to explain. “Just listen to me.”
“Alright, I’ll listen to you.”
So, he was raising a submissive little kitten after all.
