It was quite big and she could already see the crystals dwindling that were used for fuel.

But what can she do if she wanted to live this life, then some sacrifices were needed? Since she was in a great mood, she decided to drive this new car and show it off to the people.

The whole Niafell only has one normal car which is the silver car that Alayna owns and seeing another car showing up again, Elena began to wonder who was really backing her boss.

Everyone’s curiosity was way high there but some things shouldn’t be asked. Alayna was planning on making everyone aware of other worlds and the good things that they bring.

The projection she received, she was going to use and let the people watch some movies during weekends. She can make it more of an outdoor cinema and let them pay a few copper coins in the process.

Handing things for free wasn’t a good thing as the day you stop doing that, it may backfire on you. So, teaching people that one couldn’t get anything for free was very good.

She was also working hard for everything that she owns and if she counts the assassinations directed to her ever since she opened the shop, she would go nuts. Lucky for her the system that wants her to live a carefree life simply took care of all troubles for her.

When she arrived, she unlocked the door. She was even thinking of letting someone else have the access codes of the door so that when she is not there the shop can be opened.

As it was not easy to steal the shop’s money, she wasn’t worried about losing a single copper coin.

Because of what she introduced yesterday, everyone was quite eager to register and it was quite chaotic so James and his buddy made those that wanted to register their cooperatives stand outside and be called one by one inside.

At the same time, Alayna was in her office looking through the several people she had picked. Because she only wanted ten, she had to reduce them. As she had recorded the interviews, it was easy for her to check them repeatedly.

It was around eleven in the morning that she came with the ten that she wanted. She printed the list of the people that qualified and went outside to post the notice.

When she arrived, she also saw some notices there and smiled when she saw that it was from her kids.

"I have selected the ten people for the shop, so for those that are here, please come and see me, and those that are not here, those that know them, please pass the message to them. for those who failed to make it, don’t lose hope, I will keep on hiring more people in the future. As you know, the garden will be open soon and I will need people there."

Alayna left after making herself clear and went inside to check on Cain who was currently busy with the registering process. When they register, they were given some small cards that acts as an identifier.

The work was going pretty well and she was glad about that. She also looked around the supermarket and noticed that no one was making trouble and the kids happened to be by the butchery doing the job they have been doing before.

They were also advertising themselves about the services they wanted to provide for others. Seeing them talking with others so freely with smiles on their faces, she was at ease.

Alayna had to go to the office as five of the people she had picked were present. She decided to see them first and see the rest as they come.

The five were ushered in her office and they were amazed by what they saw. As there weren’t many chairs in the office, some of them had to stand while Alayna talked to them.

There were three ladies and two men present and two of them qualified for the tills while one was for the accounting assistant. The two gentlemen were both for security.

"I have contracts with me here that you need to sign. ****** and ***** will be interning first and learning from your seniors about how to use the tills. When you are good enough, you will be taking shifts with your seniors.

As for you ****, you will be assisting Cain in the accounting department and he will tell you what you are supposed to do. Your job is more sensitive so there shouldn’t be errors. He will teach you how I prefer things to be done so be a quick learner and don’t disappoint me.

As for you gentlemen, your job is much easier. James is your senior and he knows what you should do. There should be harmony among all of you, if you have any problem, then come to me and we will solve it together.

Your salaries before you become permanent will be *** and you guys yours will be *****. I hope that you will not be lax and give me your utmost best. Do you have any questions?"

Alayna scanned the five that had smiles on their faces, she wondered if there was something wrong with their heads but that was being rude so she decided to keep it to herself.

{Umm, boss, can we live at the staff house?}

"Yes, you can live there but you first need to register for that. At the moment, the current staff house only has one vacancy and it’s for one man. This means that the rest can wait first. The other staff house will be done in two days latest," she answered the question.

{That’s okay then.}

{Do we need to pay for accommodation?}

"It’s not paying for accommodation perse but for utilities. It’s just a small fraction of your salaries and you will also buy your own food and all sorts. Elena will brief you on that, I will tell her to share what you need to know.

So, take these contracts and read them carefully, and sign them. once you sign them, I will give you the employee benefits document and we will go from there."

Alayna didn’t talk much with the five as they left after receiving their contracts. Lunch quickly arrived and everyone stopped to eat.

Alayna was with the kids listening to their chattering, they were all smiles.

She couldn’t help but capture this moment. Thinking about memories, she began to think of something crazy and decided to implement it as soon as possible.

After lunch she met the remaining five and also repeated the same things, she told them before sending them out. While massaging her temples, Cain knocked on her door.

She let the man in and Cain made himself at home and sat down.

"What brings you here?" she asked seeing the man holding a book in his hands.

"I have received a few groups who already brought their business plans and I am here to pass them to you so that you may check them," Cain replied.

"Ohh, they move quite fast. Hand them over!" Alayna smiled as she placed her hands on the desk.

Cain placed the book on the desk and continued, "several people are registering and there is also an increase in the stokvel registering."

"What about on the exchange side?" Alayna was quite curious about this.

"There are not many but we can say that it is going well."

"That’s good then. As long as no one is making trouble for me then I am at peace. You can leave these with me and I will go through them and give you feedback."

Cain didn’t stay for much longer and left after doing what he came for. Alayna opened the book and looked at what Cain had written down. Since the groups weren’t bringing proper business plans like in the modern world, some of them will just state what their business plan is and have it registered.

She saw that there were three business plans and they looked quite interesting. The money needed for these projects wasn’t a lot for her. Alayna didn’t lack money at all so spending it on these projects didn’t empty her pockets at all.

One of the projects attracted her a lot, it was an embroidery project and the group was formed with seven ladies. Alayna has a thing for ladies and especially those who think and are filled with wisdom.

She read their proposal and saw at a glance that these people were serious and if they really receive help, they will soar much higher.

The project needed a total of 30 silver coins for the clothing materials, needles, thread, and dyes. Since they wanted to embroider something of great quality the costs were a bit higher.

Alayna understood this perfectly, if one wanted to soar higher, they didn’t have to compromise on quality. That was detrimental to a business in the long term.

The group didn’t want the 30 silver coins as she thought but they needed 25 silver coins. In other words, these ladies managed to save 5 silver coins and this was so astounding. It made her heart feel so much warmth as if it was her own money.
