Alayna wiped away the tears from her cheeks before forcing a smile, no matter how much pain she was feeling and going through at the moment, she still needed to finish the story.

"When I couldn’t walk, he was my legs, he gave me the love and care I lacked when growing up. I wanted to just die and give everything up. Although my talent wasn’t high, I still lost and that was too much for me. But he was there for me and he gave me hope.

Since I couldn’t live as a cultivator I could at least live like a commoner. There was no horror in living like that. I was surrounded by many of them and they were just living well and happily too.

So, I accepted my fate and abandoned all hate and lived my life but he still left. This is the only problem of being mortal, with him gone, life became unbearable. Although I am forty-three years old and a bit old, that doesn’t mean that I can just be used by anyone like that.

So, I ran away from my village and settled in this forest. At that time this forest wasn’t this famous, I was by myself and it was hard to live here. I had to hunt myself and go out to gather wild vegetables and herbs to survive.

I nearly starved to death at some point but luckily, I got lucky and the deities above heard my prayers and I started operating this magical shop. My life changed just like that, I started cultivating again and I am who I am today.

What I am trying to say at this point is, that it doesn’t matter what you went through before we met, it doesn’t matter what cultivation talent you have, what matters is the state of your heart.

I want you kids to be happy and be free. I don’t want you to be chained and be pressured so that you may reach higher levels and be more powerful.

Rome wasn’t built in a day and if you rush things, the foundation will never be stable. I don’t have a powerful spiritual root but just a yellow one. So, my darling Merita, be at ease. As long as your mommy is alive and kicking, I will make you both cultivators that everyone will look up to in the future.

So, if you ask me, if I am okay with this?

I am very happy and satisfied. With these results you have achieved in such a short time, you will not be cultivated for some time.

Until you stabilize that foundation of yours, I don’t want to see anyone cultivating, and at the same time, you will be rewarded," Alayna said with a smile on her face.

The kids were no longer crying at this point as they have smiles on their faces. Their red eyes showed strong determination as to what it, Alayna didn’t know and wasn’t going to ask.

"Is this really true?"

"Yes, it is true. So, children are merry and also from now going onwards you don’t need to stay put at home, you can roam around the forest on your own. I will be busy from now on and if you want you can stop by at the shop," Alayna informed the kids.

They were now well and there was no need for them to stay at home cooped up. The kids were so excited hearing this and they nodded their heads in confirmation.

"You can watch your show, I will give you your reward after dinner."

The three talked for a while and during this session, the kids were very curious about Alayna’s past and she answered them and satisfied their curiosity.

At this time, they also talked about joining sects but the kids adamantly refused to join any sects and she decided to let it be for now. Maybe in the future, they will change their minds, but their decision now was still okay as she gets to have them by her side.

After talking with the kids, Alayna went to her study where she began to check the phones that she could buy for the kids. She wasn’t planning on buying tablets for them yet as that can corrupt their minds, not that cell-phones can’t.

She bought the phones, one pink and one black for them. after that she began to upload apps that the kids can use and restricted others, she didn’t want the kids to end up using something they were not supposed to.

Luckily there were several apps for kids so she installed those for them. She didn’t even bother with any live-streaming apps as they are still young for that.

They should wait until they are fifteen or eighteen, and unless they appear on hers, she wasn’t going to let them appear anywhere.

She also saved their contact numbers so that they can communicate together, her phones didn’t require any network boosters and this was all thanks to the system.

As for recharging, she simply paid for a month for each number and it was set to go. She wasn’t going to be strict to the extent of checking their phones to see what they were doing after giving them as that was just insane, and this is why she put a restriction for them to not access some crazy staff in the first place.

Alayna only left her study when it was time for lunch, after having lunch with the kids she returned to her study once more and this time it was for serious business.

After receiving that counter, Alayna began to think of that project of hers she hasn’t put in place yet because of what has been happening.

Starting cooperatives will be quite beneficial for everyone and now that most of the worrisome problems were taken care of, she decided to let this thing payout.

Apart from recording the stokvel groups’ transactions, she was going to let the bookkeeper also start to dish out some short-term loans and encourage people to do cooperatives.

As this was something that couldn’t be achieved in one day, she was going to hold a meeting specifically for this and educate people. As for the meeting, she was going to hold it at the gardens that were currently under construction.

She spent the whole afternoon sharpening her speech, she didn’t want these people to doubt how this new program can work, everyone’s progress was not only a source of happiness to her but also could aid her in many things.

This was more of corporate or social responsibility; one should help the society to achieve great things in the future.

When she was done, she finally joined the kids, and together they prepared dinner. The kids were so happy about dinner as they were looking forward to getting their rewards.

After washing the plates, the kids looked excitedly at Alayna. Looking at those eyes, she was instantly defeated and with a wave of her hand, two sleek cellphones appeared on the table.

The kids have manners so although they were itching to get their hands on the phones unless Alayna give them the go-ahead, they wouldn’t dare to touch them.

Alayna was very satisfied with their self-control, "the pink one is for Merita and the black for Neal. You can pick your own!"

The kids didn’t need to be told twice as they quickly picked up the phones and began to look at them eagerly.

"So, from now on, I will be showing you a tutorial, learn closely, and if you don’t understand something just ask me," Alayna said softly as she looked at the kids.

The kids nodded their heads and Alayna began the tutorials. The kids were very clever so they listened attentively and understood perfectly as well.

Alayna loved this about her kids so she taught them everything she thought was necessary, as, for the rest, they can just figure it out themselves.

"And one last thing kids, you are not allowed to spend the rest of the day on the phone. Just eight hours maximum and anything past that, you will be punished!" she threatened the kids and they nodded their heads like chickens.

She didn’t need to keep on talking any longer as she could tell that the kids were already just thinking about their phones and she has been abandoned.

She didn’t feel upset seeing this at all and just shooed them away. Alayna ended up being the only person in the living room watching T.V as the kids were in their room playing with the new toys.

She swiftly changed the channel and began to watch a new series; she had not been watching a lot of series lately as her mind was occupied with other things.

She tossed the phone aside as she wasn’t in the mood to play with it and just concentrate on the series that she was watching.

At the same time, she couldn’t wait to see the brand-new supermarket.
