Alayna spoke for a very long time and allowed all candidates to ask questions and answered them. At the end of the day, she still gave them the schedule for the training and hoped that they won’t fail her.
Having a cinema was quite beneficial, she didn’t need to personally teach everyone by mouth, with so many teaching materials on the internet, she simply downloaded everything from the basics and compiled the videos.
Each training session was two hours long and every day she was going to hold three sessions until the training was done.
So, the next day all sixty of them came to attend the first training session, and they all agreed to attend all sessions, as learning was beneficial. Besides, there will never find anywhere else to learn all these mysterious things.
Alayna was very happy seeing that everyone was present and began the first session of the day.
Everyone listened attentively while watching the videos on the huge screen and at the end of the lesson they asked questions which Alayna did her best to answer and elaborate further.
While some required more theory, some required more practicality, so for those that were going to be photographers, Alayna threw them to the seniors to be taught one on one.
Seeing their seniors using the cameras professionally was much better than doing theory. As for the writers, they were all given an assignment to complete and reporters received their first assignment too which was to gather information from customers and compile it beautifully.
In just one week, all sixty candidates had something to do and Alayna was finally free to do something else.
The renovation of the post office was complete and the team was now renovating the other building which she bought last.
The post office looked very open, nice, and pleasing to the eye. The building was two-storied, with the administration offices on the second floor.
On the first floor, there was the reception or the inquiries desk, the open space was the waiting area where chairs will be placed so that customers can wait while seated.
There were several cubicles and each cubicle serves a purpose. For example, the other cubicle was for finance purposes (teller), the other one will be selling products like stamps, seals, and envelopes, and the other one will be the depository cubicle where people will leave their letters so that they may be sent to their respective destinations and lastly was the collection point.
On the second floor, there is the manager’s office, the conference room and another office which was going to be used by heads of departments, like finance and all that.
There was also the restroom as this shouldn’t be left out in every office building.
There was still a lot to be done, so Alayna made several trips to the furniture shops to purchase some chairs and desks.
Other staff like paper, stamps, seals, and tills she directly bought from the system’s shop. And this posed another problem again, she needed more employees once again and luckily, she still has reserves.
So, she called upon a few of the ones that weren’t picked for the new positions she forgot about. All cashiers were trained in the shop under the supervision of their seniors.
While the shops were taking shape, Alayna began to mark the assignments of the candidates that she gave to them days ago and she was glad that none of them disappointed her.
She gave them more assignments to do again and resumed with the second edition of the magazine. She didn’t forget to add a few pleasant articles given by the reporters and writers.
Just like that another month passed and everything was ready.
The post office was fully furnished with everything installed; the employees were also ready to start working.
The Phoenix magazine office building was also fully furnished and just like the post office building, it has two floors.
The first floor has the reception area, waiting area, restroom, and shared office area for most employees. The second floor has the administration offices as well as the conference room for meetings.
During this time, Alayna was able to appoint managers for both the magazine and post office and these two were the ones that scored higher than the rest and their leadership skills were top-notch.
She managed to hire two more professional writers that she appointed as editors as their experience was higher than the writers she first hired before.
The two companies were opened on different days as there were some rituals to be done and ceremonies as well.
With the two of them officially opened, all she needed to do now was to slowly add more features, and let the business grow along with the employees as well.
The business in the post office wasn’t that satisfactory when it first opened, the stationery being sold was a bit expensive and not everyone was sending letters.
Of course, this didn’t discourage Alayna at all as all businesses start like this and if one gives up because of this, it will be a shame actually.
So, Alayna had the employees there to study everything and become their own masters while waiting for good business.
On the magazine side, Alayna gave everyone their first assignment, and it was to make a magazine draft for the third edition. She was doing the second edition already, so there was no need for everyone to participate.
"As long as you do or improve on what you did when training, everything will go smoothly. I don’t want to use the shop as the magazine cover for the third edition so like I taught you, please find something interesting or someone interesting and whatever you decide on make sure that it can sell the magazines. Do you understand?"
{Yes, we do.}
{Just leave this to us, we will not disappoint you.}
"That’s good, and remember to always have a backup plan. Your deadline is four weeks, I need to have that final draft then. Don’t disappoint me!"
When Alayna left, the manager whose name is Helen called everyone for a meeting. Helen wasn’t afraid of people, before she started working for Alayna, she worked at an inn in ***** city and left after some dispute with the owner.
Just because she is a woman, she didn’t tolerate anyone stepping on her and trying to take advantage of her. So, when traveling and trying to relieve her stress, she came across this mysterious shop and decided to stay for a bit longer in Draak town.
She studied the shop, studied Alayna, and at the end of it, she knew what she wanted and it was to get acquainted with Alayna. And when the opportunity arises, she went for it, and now she was a manager of the Phoenix Magazine.
"Everyone, I hope that you will put all your effort every day and don’t slack off. The success of this first assignment will determine if we will still be here next month. Remember that there are several people currently eying your positions and will do anything to get a chance to sit here. So please work extra hard as if your life depends on it," Helen scanned the twenty-nine employees currently in the office with sharp eyes.
"I will be handing over the assignments for each of you and if you have any questions, come and find me."
Helen distributed the assignments to everyone and spend another hour answering those that had questions.
Reporters’ jobs weren’t in the office but out there, so as soon as they received their assignments, they received their allowances and left the offices. The same was true for the photographers, they couldn’t obviously get anything by being inside, so some of them followed some reporters while the others went to do their own thing.
Just because these two were opened, didn’t mean that it was over, her post office was still lacking. It’s not like she was supposed to serve only people from the town, she still has other customers from all over and she needed to find a way to settle this issue.

There was still a long way to go with the post office business, she needed to install mailboxes in several places to allow people to deposit their parcels wherever they are but there was a problem; she didn’t have any post offices in other places where they can pay for the stamps and the postage fee.
Mailboxes required the certain area to at least have an office where people can pay for the other services.
Alayna decided to deal with this problem when she was done with the second edition draft. The magazine still needed to be published and everyone was looking forward to it and she didn’t want to disappoint.
Alayna finally submitted the second draft two days after settling the new companies. As she was done, it was finally time for her to go out and do some exploration.
