Chapter 472: Chapter 472: Adultery Bust in Progress

"Boss, Ethan Hawthorne should be coming to restock soon, right? Should we tell him?" Will asked.

Feng Ye shook his head. "We’re not saying anything. We’re just here to sell goods, not to meddle in his family affairs. Pass the word down: if anyone runs their mouth, they can get the hell out!"

"Yes, sir!"

Will answered respectfully and didn’t ask why. He had become Feng Ye’s trusted confidant not through intelligence, but through loyalty and his reserved nature. Whatever the boss wanted him to know, he would be told. If something wasn’t mentioned, it meant he didn’t need to know. Asking would be pointless and would only annoy the boss.

"Boss, if you really like that chubby girl, why don’t I make a trip to Vessaria and talk things over with her parents?" Will suggested.

’Actually, he’d much rather just snatch her and leave a pile of cash, but he was afraid of scaring the chubby girl. It was better to be more tactful.’

Feng Ye glared at him irritably and waved a dismissive hand. He didn’t feel like talking to this blockhead.

But Will didn’t give up and rambled on, "Boss, I still think it’s best for you to have one of your own. An outsider can’t compare to your own flesh and blood. Just say the word, and I’ll make arrangements for tonight..."

"Get out!"

Feng Ye roared furiously. Will sulked out, but he remained unconvinced. ’The boss just hasn’t experienced the pleasure of sleeping with a wife in his arms. The day he gets a taste, he’ll probably never want to get out of bed.’

’But the boss refused to budge, and it’s not like I can just drug him. Ugh, this is so frustrating.’

’And that Hawthorne kid is strange, too. He clearly knows his father and the boss are acquainted, yet he doesn’t ask a single question. The boy really knows how to stay composed.’ Will scratched his head, which felt like it had swollen three sizes.

「Two more days passed.」 It was the end of June, and school was about to let out for break. Tang Xiaonan was getting anxious. ’Why haven’t I heard anything from Little Uncle? Summer vacation is almost here!’

She had no idea what was happening with Adrian Hawthorne, either. ’Even though I know the future big shot will be fine,’ Tang Xiaonan was still a little worried. She had spent the entire week on edge.

After school that afternoon, Tang Xiaonan and Amanda Chapman were walking home together. Lost in thought, Tang Xiaonan was walking so slowly that Amanda had to drag her along by the hand.

"Phoenix Golding is off doing something bad again."

Amanda Chapman said hatefully. A thought struck Tang Xiaonan, and she looked up to see Ulysses Spann walking by himself up ahead. Whenever Phoenix Golding was up to something, she made Ulysses Spann walk home alone. ’Looks like Phoenix Golding went to town again.’

"Amanda, let’s not go home yet."

Tang Xiaonan decided she couldn’t count on her Little Uncle anymore. ’He’s just too unreliable. I’ll have to handle this myself.’ Phoenix Golding was either at the school district office or still on campus. She pulled Amanda Chapman toward the bike shed. Phoenix Golding’s bicycle was gone.

"We’re going to town."

Tang Xiaonan turned and broke into a run, with Amanda Chapman chasing after her. "The town’s a few miles away! It’ll be dark by the time we get home!"

"Phoenix Golding definitely went to town to do something bad!"

Tang Xiaonan’s eyes shone with excitement. Her intuition told her they would succeed today. Amanda Chapman immediately perked up. "Really?"

"Yeah. Let’s go find Third Brother."

Tang Xiaonan decided to get Jim Thorne. It was too dangerous for her and Amanda Chapman to go alone, but with Jim, they wouldn’t have to be afraid. Jim Thorne was in study hall, diligently doing his homework for a change. The moment Tang Xiaonan appeared at the doorway, he came right out. Hearing that his little sister wanted to go to town, he packed his bag without another word.

"If the teacher asks, just say my stomach hurts."

Jim Thorne told his deskmate, then hoisted Tang Xiaonan onto his back and left the school. As they passed Armstrong Huxley’s classroom, they called him out too. The four of them set off for town, marching with purpose and high spirits.
